Hello!
I downloaded a superb wallpaper from HTC website/app Get Started.
It's now in the HTC Wallpapers gallery but can't find it in the system partition, where could I find it?
I want to make it more bright as it's too dark for sunny days
Try your sd card. Possibly the download folder. Or search by name with a file explorer.

I searched tons of folders including download but still no joy :crying:
I wonder if there is not an app that system info that say which wallpaper is used and where is the file location

So I noticed that CM6 Froyo Remix ROM was missing the Genie weather and the customizable Power Control widget. I use only those two widgets on a daily basis and it would be nice if someone could point me in the right direction.
I've already tried Googling and downloading a transparent Genie widget from another site but after installing the widget, my phone had to force close the app maybe because it wasn't compatible?
Anyways, it would be nice if somebody can help me. Thanks in advance!
maybe u can try beautiful widget instead
I've already tried that app and honestly it isn't my cup of tea.
Is it possible to just extract the genie apk from a ROM and install it onto the one I'm currently using?

thats probably because you have to completely uninstall the old one first
go into root explorer or whatever file manage you use and DELETE the newsandweather or geniewidge apk
then reboot, just to be sure
then install it
bet it works then

This ROM I'm currently using didn't come with the Genie weather apk at all. I also confirmed this by using ASTRO to search in the apps folder.

then reboot, it will install it on boot up

I'm sorry but can you tell the procedure step by step with which app I'll be needing to get this accomplished?
Thanks in advanced!

Nvm... I just Googled it myself. C;
I used to ADB to remove the GenieWidget.apk and used this command to reinstall the transparent widget:
adb remount
adb push GenieWidget.apk /system/app/GenieWidget.apk
I'm sure majority of the people here already know how to do all this but I'm typing this as a reference in case I flash my phone again.
Hmm tried to install this on CM6-RC1, but now i can't load my new & weather anymore lol.
Luckily i made a backup.
I have seen some themes and modified HTC keyboards floating around in the past. Anyone have some links to some good ones that will work for the thunderbolt? I remember a while back seeing a site where you could even build your own?
You can build your own here, but unfortunately, it's the standard HTC keyboard, not the one with the arrows at the bottom.
I tried flashing one through Clockwork but it doesn't seem to take. Any suggestions?

You don't have the flash them. Just open the .zips with Astro and install as you would a normal .apk

Anyone know how to package miui icons for use with theme manager. I've done a couple of different options but nothing seems to catch. I've loaded the zip to the SD card, that didn't work. I've also changed the extension to mtz and that didn't work. Etc....anyone got any advice what or how to go about it. Thanks in advance

+1 I would like to know how to do this as well.
Yeah I found some real cool icons on deviant art but can't get the ron to recognize them

Yeah, I have a folder of Edius icons (over 500) that are properly named according to app, but I can't figure out how to put it into a mtz to use.
Swyped from my MIUI'D Fascinate.
The easiest way would be to find an icon pack for miui and just delete the icons out of it and paste yours in. Use 7-zip and you shouldn't even need to extract or re-zip anything. When you put it back in to theme manager just keep in mind that the name will be the same as whatever icon pack you used.
That's what I was thinking about doing

I packaged my own fonts to use with Miui with a custom .xml file. I just basially just replicated one from a font package I already had downloaded and that seemed to work. However I copied the setup from an icon package .xml file and that won't work at all. I'm not really sure what to do about that, and noone on here seems to be very helpful. Maybe I posted this in the wrong forum.
If you're not interested in the story.. skip to the last paragraph in red.. like this one.. obviously.
I mean seriously.. Am i the only one with this stupid problem.. I restart the phone after somehow the system crashes..
and find the phone with no launcher.. yah.. actually there's no launcher.. and a continuous bootanimation?
WTF??
Actually.. after i turn the phone On.. the so called Bootanimation keeps playing and playing..
and i can still feel the Unlock slider thing.. that it's there..
Well, the phone is obviously functioning Normally .. but with the bootanimation on.. and on.. and on...... and on.
What i do is.. I miss call my self.. the screen shows that some1 is calling..
after i disconnect or do whatever.. the screens lights up.. and comes back to life.. with NO LAUNCHER.
only whatever i used.. which shows in Recent apps.. If i just could get the damn files explorer up!
Well, now i'm wondering.. is there anyway.. ANYWAY..
i can install a Launcher.. without having to do that through the phone????
or somehow open the files explorer?
If you have no launcher, you should flash one via recovery. Find an update zip with an app (such as a modded music app) and replace that apk with a launcher apk.

Thanks Chris.. But can you provide me with such update.zip.. Please?
I'm so sorry man.
I would do it for you but I'm from the phone right now.
Just get my zip with the xperia fonts. Delete the "fonts" folder which is inside the "system" folder.
Now, create a folder on your desktop and name it "app", lower case! Put the apk of the launcher you want there.
Next, drag that folder into the "system" folder of my zip.
So now it's zip/system/app/thelauncher.apk
Flash that and you should have a launcher now.

i would have pressed the thanks button if i found it.
Wondering if it's just my Rom or if this is a wide spread issue from the base, but when trying to use htcs gallery vid creator using the new themes I get an error about the original files that the camera just took.
Edit
Apparently when I flashed 4.2.2 Rom initially it did not expand the audio files from the apk correctly and all new theme audio files were corrupt. This caused the zoe editor to error out and display the bad original media message.
A simple extraction from the apk of the audio files was all that was needed to correct the issue.

The zip, has all mp3s needed for the zoe themes.
The attachment shows the path of the directory where the files need to go.
