(REQ) Lockscreen from 4.1.x - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I updated 4.2.2 via ota and I really hate the lock screen. It's there a way I can change it to the previous one? I know there is a modded version of the new one, but I still don't like it.

wrong section again and please post at Q&A forum next time
and if you want to back to 4.1.2 Xperia Lockscreen you'll need to root your phone,or if you want stock Android v4.2.2 lockscreen just need to rename the XperiaLockScreen.apk to .bak, but also you'll need to root.

Of course I have root,I just want the apk from the previous version. And I dont think it's the wrong section,in Q&A it will get buried after being solved and here people can download it instead of opening new threads, and I can guarantee someone else will want to do this. Now just upload the apk if you have it,dont make me do a system dump just for this.

[Q] Xperia T help

Hi,
I have a Xperia T with bootloader unlocked (which removes warranty) and a custom rom, but I want to lock the bootloader again and go back to the stock ROM. I don't know which ROM it is because my friend did it all for me, but he is not my friend anymore and doesn't want to help me with my phone. I dont want the custom rom because i dont see any use to it and some things dont work like WhatsApp and the camera.
So my questions are: Can i go back to stock ROM, if so how?
Can i Re-lock the bootloader so my warranty will be back. Or at least a way to hide that i have had a custom rom?
Thanks in advance !!!

Then you got to be a bit more careful... :/ Did your freind not tell you that you would loose warranty?\
Just flash greg bradleys rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2007736
Read the instructions for unlocked bootloader.. flash probs the advanced stock kernel... then his rom! it seems to be based off stock but a bit better! as i dont know if yo ucan go back to official stock sony or not sorry i dont even have the T yet im jsut basing off my experince from the x10
Flash kernel boot into cwm (pressing volume down repeatedly i think)
Flash the rom and reboot!
I take no resposibilty..

No he told me i could remove it. Also, do you lose warranty for physical damage? Like i have a case on my T but on the corners the matte is coming off a little? I dont know why i care for it very well!
I can't unlock my bootloader, sadly
Unfortunately, a lot of people are complaining about the matte finish peeling off. I for one have it on the lower left corner, and I really baby the phone. I don't even put it on hard surfaces but usually on a school workbook.
Anyway, you can find a lot of information in the following threads:
-All in one Q&A thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1903137
-Matte coating peeling off: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031472

I dont know how you can remove it... i dont think theres a way to relock bootloader as of now.. i could be worng though! Maybe check out s1tool or osmething google it! And no that issue has been reported its not your fault... if you cna get your bl relocked you can send it back to them for that damage \
Try this to relock bootloader.. but read the whole thread as idk what it could do to your device...
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_d8uWGbkaetaEhhd25JcjJMY2M/edit?pli=1
Again i take absolutley no repsobility here!
Thanks. Hopefully Sony will replace those devices.

Search for flashtool version 0.9.9.0 and download.
Download .ftf file of the firmware you want to flash and place it in flashtool firmware folder.
Start flashtool.exe and follow instructions. Leave all boxes ticked (wipe dalvik, user data, baseband etc)

Hi, I have ROM manager, can i use that to flash an Elf file?
Can somebody explain this ??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2011725
As per other thread, questions belong in Q&A. I'll close your other thread as this is more relevant and you should only post questions once as per the forum rules.
Thanks

Hi I don't understand do I have to make separate threads for each of my questions? Also, when you move the thread where does it go because I can't find it. How many times is the maximum for asking a question and how many threads can one open on 1 day.

You can open multiple question threads in Q&A section but if all your questions pertain to, in this case, flashing a ROM, a single thread should do.
Also, keep in mind that many of the members of this forum will not answer simple generic inquiries. It is up to you to search the forum to find the answers, if possible.
Thanks for responding. I have found a way to get back stock firmware.its via the official Sony flash tool. But when I try to hold down the volume down button I go into ROM manager cwm based recovery and then it doesn't recognize my phone. Please I don't know what to do. Look for the guide for using flashtool on the page from @flash-
There are great flashtool guides on xda too. Just read them
2nd
Yeah, that's possible too!
To do so, you need to
- Root your phone with Towelroot
- Backup your TA partition
- Unlock your bootloader
- Install a recovery for Stock Rom
- Flash a Rom. I always take Cyanogenmod 12.1 by Mrcl1450 and AdrianDC. You find it in
XperiaSP/Original Android Development
There are other great Roms on
XperiaSP/Original Android Development
and
XperiaSP/Android Development
Just take what you like or try different roms.
Look in
XperiaSP/General/Xperia SP Lollipop Hub
There are great Rom reviews.
You can find guides to all these things here on XDA. Please read these guides. Then you can have Android 5.1.1

Yeah, you can root your phone with Towelroot. The word to google is debloat.
Sorry if I sound rude, but someone has to tell you:
Nobody in here will help you googling a tutorial how to flash a ftf file.
OK, one last time...
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+flash+ftf+xperia+SP+flashtool
As far as I understand it, XDA is a community of people who want to mod their phones. Themselves. This includes that you read before you ask. Oh you didn't find the answer you were looking for on Page 1? Google again with similar keywords.
Let's think about the number of users who have already used flashtool. Millions! How many of them were noobs in the beginning? Millions!
Can you imagine how often your questions have already been asked? I can't...
There are hundreds of tutorials out there for each and every step of whatever related to mod a phone.
Go and read them! And if something goes wrong, there are thousands of tutorials how to get your phone back to life. I've never heard a phone causing a thermonucleal war because a beginner experimented with it.
Again, sorry for the rudeness of my message, but as you OBVIOUSLY didn't read the "READ BEFORE POST" message of the moderators, I had to tell it to you. That way you won't wonder why noone answers your questions.

OK, I gotta clear up a few things:
Case A:
You want to Update your current old Sony rom to the latest Sony rom.
- Get Flashtool, get your Firmware from Xperifirm.
- Flash it
Yeah, it's that easy
Case B:
You want to have a newer Android that has not been made by Sony. E.g. you want Android 5.1.1 Cyanogenmod. That's what we call "Custom Rom"!
- Root your phone with Towelroot
- Backup your TA partition
- Unlock your bootloader
- Install a recovery for Stock Rom
- Flash a Rom. E.g. Android 5.1.1 Cyanogenmod
These two things are totally diffetent things!
What could have caused the misunderstanding is that you CAN root your phone in Case A. But you don't have to. You CAN add a Recovery Mode in Case A, but you don't have to.
IF you want a Recovery, take Philz Recovery for Xperia SP.

first wrong selection, second than easy search on google for an custom rom which has a newer version or search for an factory image or an stock rom and than install it I think if you would try google you will also find a great instruction for you phone. But I think it is for you the easiest way to use the tool from sony which you can download anywhere on there website (sorry I don´t know where, I just know sony had made some thing like that) and with this tool you can easily update you phone if you don´t find any updates...But maybe sony don´t made any update :/ I hope I could help :/

why update to 4.3 when you have 5.1 official lollipop. Anyway if you want to install 4.3 download the right firmware (.ftf) and flash it with FlashTool, but remember that this flashing will delete all your data.
