[Q] Developer Option not found - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys please help I cant find Developer Options on my Xperia Z. Its already on JB 4.2 and upadated tru PC Compaion. I don't know why the DEveloper Option cannot be find on my Settings Menu.

This has been mentioned soooooooo many times and is a part of Android 4.2.
Go to the 'About' screen in Setting and tap your build number 7 times. Developer options will then be available again.

*sigh* Guys, we really need to be tougher with what we accept as a suitable question for a topic. Point them in the direction of Google and report the thread instead of posting an answer. It's harsh, but if you keep giving them the answer then they will never learn to search first.

I don't know why you created this post instead of posting stuff from the original thread for the actual rom release.
On the first post of the rom release I asked all users to please keep it all in the same spot.
This is one of the reasons why I did not release the update version today.
If you don't like the menu, then don't use the rom.
There are plenty of roms for you to choose from.
Good luck,

If you to turn off quickmenu, there is another options.
/Start/QuickMenu/Exit
It will prompt you with "Exit QuickMenu?
Choose yes and it will not startup again even after a reboot.

[Q] unlocking Xperia T Help

Hi,
I am trying to unlock my Xperia T so I can run cyanogenmod, but cant unlock the bootloader menu to run fastboot. I read that if the screen below says "no" then it cannot be done.
Is this true? Is there any way around it?
Any help will be appreciated

I feel your pain brother.
You should add it to your all in one thread in big, bold, red letters.
I took the liberty of performing a search for you as you are obviously unable to do so:

Its already in there in the FAQ but I took your advice

I bet it does, I just looked through post 2 of that thread, and it is written at least 3 times in there.....
Maybe if I can get it down to just every other day I have to answer this it will help.
Or, I could be mischievous and just start saying yes, of course it can be unlocked, but I am not going to tell you how!

To unlock the bootloader you need a magic key that ony Thor possesses:
I must add this to the OP of this thread,
Please do not be afraid to ask question in these forums again, but please PLEASE use the search function first. I (and others) are very keen to help, that's why we are here, to help each other as we were all nobs as well at some point. But the first and best lesson I learned was to Search and read and try for yourself before asking questions.
thanks for the replies, yes i know, should have, would have, could have etc...
One more question: why is it that some xperia T's can be unlocked and some not?
Please use the search function before opening up threads. Thanks.

[Q] How to root my version of the s3 mini?

Hi i think the threads in general is becoming way more a jungle to me than actually help
So I'm trying to find out which file or exploit i can use to get my phone rooted.
My model:
GT-I8190N
Base Band:
I8190NXXAMG1
And its European / Scandinavia version of the phone.
Any that have been in same boat that can guide me in right direction? or people that actually have the files to get it rooted for my exact model & version?
Thanks guys.
Try here. If doesn't work search better & it doesn't seems a jungle, don't be lazy.

Thanks for the quick answer and the quick judgement as well i assume, i already tried that trick and it did not work for me, perhaps i did something wrong but 2 times in a row and failed each i moved on with my search, iv tried for months to get it open ever since there was this tool on the forum where you could donate so he could add newer versions for support in his tool, now i cant really remember what name or the tool of it but, he suddenly became inactive or something. I guess I'm just stock on this ****ty rom, might as well just trash it and buy another phone.

I got a Nokia X2. What should I do with it? Root, dump img,...?

So, I just received this phone and starting to play around with it. Although we know this might be the last Android device from Microsoft, however I got to say this one brings lots of improvement from the lastest X family, such as: smooth, Android 4.3, better UX.
I did some research and find out that this phone's so new and would love to help the community to answer, as well as testing something to get it hacked.
Cheers
At this moment, there isn't much to do. You can root device, that shouldn't be a problem. As the kernel source is yet to be released, there is no option of original development. You just have to wait for developers to arrive.

Need your help. X2 needs it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-x2/general/wip-rooting-procedure-x2-t2824711/post54330429
Nokia X2 only has a home key and a back key, so how can u for example reach to "Settings" in WhatsApp, or to "Fast Access" in ES File Explorer? Isn't this a huge problem? Or is there a way to make up for the lost "third key" in the bar? We need this key for most apps!

Changing menu type

Hello all,
Can you help me with changing menu type to one with no all apps button. like on miui roms or iphone? I cant find it...
Sorry if this has allready been talked about here, but I tried to search with no results.
Thank you all.
There is a option under the settings menu in S7 for that option and also it has warning about that option is still experimental. So maybe in the future upgrades we can get it too..

You can use Samsung Galaxy Labs. One of the experimental options is Show all apps on Home screen.

That is not cool.Actyally for installation you don't need root, you need custom recovery.

EDIT: Sorry mate, I have found it here

How to install - still a question. You need to make update package which will be accepted by stock recovery. But as I know this package should contain Samsung signature.
