I'm on the CM9 nightlies and usually get 8 hours. Currently on 34% and screen on time is 5 hours 15 minutes.
Been using some ROMs overcome mainly but now JB and I would say around 8 -9 his
now 4 days stand bye 5hs screentime and 35% left
WiFi always on(?) Weird never happen on overcome but yeah still decent

AOKP M6 - about 8-9 hours.
I've observed approximately 10% / hour battery consumption on ICS or JB, although this also depends on what exactly you're doing, and the screen brightness, which I keep fairly low all the time.
I've been using CM10 preview for the last few weeks, and for me screen time is 8-9hrs even with streaming video from wifi.
With cm 10 about 9-10
hey developers,
i have a lg optimus p990 and rooted it weeks ago. i put cm9 on it and im really happy with that.
but theres one problem with the battery life...the battery does not lasts long as before rooting.
ive installed battery calibrator for rooted smartphones and also killed some apps that used alot of energy but the battery still not lasts that long -.-
do you have some tips or a good battery app? thanks
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda app-developers app
Don't worry it's normal in cm9 unless your battery it's not too old....
Use Team EaglesBlood rom....has a good battery life, I think. Had a nice life at standby

In my experience ics for o2x has pretty bad battery life. I haven't found a way to solve it.

Which one will last longer?
ICS or JB ?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
U got roughly 8hrs of usage from stock ICS so how much shorter or longer for JB anyone tried?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
whats 8 hrs of usage ? moderate?
i get almost 3-4 hrs of screen on time with wifi of JB
In my experience the battery on a good ICS ROM will last longer than on a good JB ROM. By "good" I mean with the same battery optimizations, or being both stock without customizations. However, it's not a big difference; for me, screen on time is almost the same, but the overall time is somewhat better on ICS.
8 hour of moderate web surfing, wifi on, the screen wake up time like 2 to 4hrs. Or I should consider a back up battery?

Personal opinion.
Jb leak sva 5.1 much much more last longer than any ics custom rom i had been try.
For ics, combination of speedmod+any custom rom will give you the best battery life.
For jb, since there is only philz kernel. Therefore, sweetrom v1 and sva5.1 will be the best choice in terms of battery performance.
Try yourself. ...

both will have the same battery life if optimized to correct level. personally i dont see any difference in battery on ICS and JB
For me stock ics is still rocking. With stock no worries or compatibility issues. Battery life is great talking about 4.0.4 LR8. The german stock ics has few reported issues with battery life.

My Battery just passed the 1 year and 1 month and I have to charge like 3 times a day for heavy use. Is my battery spoiled?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
some china knock off unofficial batteries loses charge like that. the stock battery hopefully doesn't deteriorate that fast. my stock is still quite healthy. but i have multiple batteries that I rotate through so I don't use my stock battery as much.

are you sure you got slimbean (AOSP) to work with Philz kernel
If my screen time is just around 2hrs. Should I consider changing new battery? Wifi, 3g on. Screen brightness is set to minimum.

There is no way in hell you are getting 10 hours of screen on time per charge...
Maybe it was just a glitch but i spent 3 hours on phone with screen on fully and it went to 70% so i just expected 10=100

I doubt it was a glitch. That's not actually altogether uncommon, depending on your usage patterns. On the other hand, trying to extrapolate that out to ten hours of usage is kind of silly: batteries drain at different rates over different charge periods (particularly the first 10% and the last 20%), and it's unlikely your usage is going to stay constant the whole way through.
Yea ur right. I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing awsome battery life

dunno. f.e., my wifi drain on custom roms is higher than on stock, but onscreen time is bigger. you can always try it and test it yourself

Idk , i think it is cm10.2 color or something.
The stock battery is great, if you don't use your phone at all that is . Just get an upgrade as I did 4100 mah, sure it doubles the size and looks fat,but man I can't use a phone that has a 4 h charge when using it.
Deep sleep battery saver pro
I have been using this apk on several custom roms now,it does help battery life but noy by a hteat deal,i have flashed all kernels for roms and the only conclusion that i csn come too is the battery itself is crap, going to start searching for some different batteries and try them and test them.I will post any results i find.

Guys, seriously, disable history location and history report on google settings. also disable find remotely and restore original setting on google settings aswell
(if you want to search and wipe youre stolen phone, use Wheres my droid for example)
You can shurely expect a lot more juice after that. Will prove it later with pics tomorow.
battery life
Hi for the last few weeks my phone has only been charging to 92% after been on charge all night I have tryed different ROMs and kernels but still the same even tryed different chargers and a new battery but still no further forwards please help me
I have the same "problem". Stuck at 92%. I recommend you to read this thread.
You can calibrate battery (reset battery stats) using app such as Battery Calibration. (Your device has to be rooted i guess.) You can also delete battery stats in cwm/advanced/wipe battery stats. It's recommended to calibrate it when installing a new rom.
It might help if you plug it in when battery drops <15% (don't let it drop below 5%) and keep charging it until is full (you can add 15 minutes).
I hope that makes your battery stats become more accurate.
