I don't think there is any way of doing so. One of the ROMs has a bit of the hidden menu included, but it's an LG specific thing as far as I'm aware.

Hi,
This is my first time flashing a custom rom onto my Optimus 2X. I have decided on the latest Miui as it seems to be fast, stable and looks awesome.
I was hoping some lovely people could give me some advice to help my first flash go well.
I have created a backup through CWR of my current stock ROM. I have also backed up all my apps through titanium backup.
I was wondering what the best baseband and RIL is best suited to the Miui ROMs? And also do I need to covert to ext4 or will be ROM do this for me?
Once iv done this is there anything else I should do to prepare my phone for Miui?
Thank you for any advice you can give me!!
Sedge.
I usually flash a stock Rom via smarflash in order to have a cleaner phone. You also have to calibrate your battery after changing Rom, trough some specific apps that you can find easly gratis on the market. For the bb i have never had problems on MIUI, they all worked for me.

I'm on the latest MIUI too on BB725. Works fine here. I'm thinking MIUI supports ext3 and ext4 partitions and don't make changes to what you already have. I've been jumping through roms and don't see anything that says MIUI is converting my partitions.
MIUI's base is cm7 so you might want to consider running the latest cm7 stable (or nightly if you feel adventurous) for o2x.
I'm still a bit biased on stock roms since they're release from the vendors so they'd likely get all the features you want due to closed-sourced 3rd party drivers. There are a lot of good roms based on stock souce here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1002. Consider giving em a spin.
If you're just after the MIUI look, check these launchers:

I have installed CM 7.1 and it all seems fine apart from my battery icon is saying i have a almost full battery when i know when i started the flash it was around 30%.
Shall I let the battery run all the way down and then charge to full and then re calibrate my battery. Will this solve my problem?
thanks James

Hi,
my LG P880 power/lock key on the top is reacting very bad.
Sometimes I must press it 5 times to turn on/off the display.
The proximity senzor also not workinf very well, relatively often after call end the display doesn't turn on
and I couldn't hang up.
Have someone this problem?
Is any chance to solve these two problems without send it to warranty service?
For the proximity sensor problem you should calibrate it. Go into hidden menu (dial 3845#*880#) -> Device Test -> All Auto Test Menu - Full -> ALC / Proximity Test. There is an option to calibrate the proximity sensor.
And what about the lock screen ... Cos i somtimes press it 3 to five times before it displays

Wich rom are you using??
if are cyanogenmod, you only have to change the kernel, relax it isn't a hardware broken it's only a bug in one of the kernel cods or some .lib.
if you are using a stock rom use kernel of eternity.
the problem it's the same in boths cases you only have to change kernel. pay attention in install the correct version of kernel for your rom.
The only way that i know to install a new kernel is cmw recovery and these are the kernel that i use.

lol, no they are very much the same... xxlt5/6 they mean nothing other than region of release.
usually using the one that was designated for your region gives best signal.
speed wise they are all the same. (as long as they are latest stock for your region)
-Stock rom does not have all languages, they are regional. (Some custom rom provides all available languages)
Many thinks there are bugfix in newer versions, but its just those region got 4.1.2 later (not necessary newer or better)
the difference are so minor, that there's no changelog... people are just guessing things has been fixed/update... but they are very much the same.
Custom rom give you functionalities beyond what was offered in stock. (like features ported from other Sammy phone.)
*Above are just my personal thought and opinion.

I've a little problem with gallery app in XXLT6. When I watch photos and turn the phone, pictures do not turn on their own. Why ? I've activated the rotation of the screen but photos do not want turn.
But, I've icon on the top of screen to rotate the picture. How to make the image rotate along with the screen ?
In XXLT4 this "problem" don't exist.

Making only a summary.
Hello,
I have unlocked my Xperia T and flashed OmniRom,but im unsatisfied with it so i would like to switch to Cyanogen i used to use with HTC Desire.
Actually i got not muh time to try everything, so i have few questions about it and i would be very thankful for any advices.
First of all i need stable device. I thought about flashing CM 10.2 which seems to be based on Android 4.3. I dont want any stability surprises like blue/black/flickering screen. I would also like to use all of 13mpx of the camera. Can anyone having CM10.2 on xperia t tell me, how those look like? Are there any problems so far? Any disadvantages?
Can i flash CM10.2, or maybe i should take an older version, like CM 10.1?
Thanks in advance.
Well if stability is everything for you, you shouldn't be on customs Roms anyway, that being said OmniRom is probably the most stable custom rom I have found. If you are referring to the black screen flickering, you can easily get rid of it in developer settings. And no more blue screens for me after 06/12 build.
And if you want a stable cm10 check for tital's home build under android development section. FXP builds have been having weird stability issues lately from what I read.

I think ill give omnirom another chance then.
can you tell me something more about black screen flickering? Which option is responsible for that and what are the consequences of switching it? Eg. No more video acceleration or what?
Thank again!

Thats about it indeed, further the ROM is awesome, fast and very stable!!!
Verstuurd van mijn Xperia T met Tapatalk
btw, if you really want a good camera, you should consider something stock based.. camera is not so good in cm/omni in my opinion. also, panorama is completely broken in both.
so if you will consider something stock based, I would suggest you miui v5 by rimmer1966.. very nice and stable
Hi,
So after I broke the screen on my MI 8 lite I decided to try the MI A2.
Is there any way to set a minimum brightness to the auto brightness feature ? The screen seems very dim on android pie.
Maybe a different rom will fix this for me ? Are there good reasons to flash a 3rd party rom or are you satisfied with the stock ?
on the MI 8 lite the screen was 3x brighter and if I am not wrong, they should have the same (or very similar) panels.
Go with other custom ROMs. The stock one is always buggy. Try Pixel Experience or Havoc OS, and if you want you can install Hex Kernel.
Stock ROM is bugged (wifi, brightness, system stuffs) but also custom ROM have common bugs such as do not recognize headphones, lose your touches... It's a good device it doesn't disappoint but u gotta try by yourself
Thanks! Any advice on what is the most stable and bug free rom?
