Sync-to USB (OTG) App - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for an app that is able to sync my internal SD-Card to a USB-Card that is mounted via OTG-Adapter. Its just "simple" folder-sync I thought...but to find an app, that is doing this job without issues is almost impossible. I've tried many apps from Market, but non did a good Job. There are hundreds of Cloud-Syncing-Apps...but I just want to Sync to my mounted USB-Card OTG....has anyone tumbled across such a tool / app? Thx for any suggestions!!!:fingers-crossed:

Sync OTG attached SD card(s)
The only app I have been able to find for my Samsung Galaxy Note is Folder Sync by T2K269. It does not do a bi-directional sync, but a sync is so easy to set up that this is easily accomplished by reversing the folders.
I also successfully synced two OTG attached SD cards. :victory:

Automatically syncing pictures

I just pickedup a 4gb sd card off amazon, and it works fine for music, but I was trying to figure out if there was any way to sync pictures taken on my phone to my PC automatically? I'm looking for a way to set up a folder to automatically get a copy of all new pictures I take when I sync, so that I have them stored on my PC. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it, and google/searchs aren't turning up anything! I know it might not even be possible, but any help would be great!

Mobsync runs alongside active sync and allows you to sync any folder from PC to SD or DD card to PC.:

Using windows media player, you can set it up to automatically sync pictures to your device.
Its quite complicated, but it does work.

USB Mount

Hi, I'm wandering how to mount USB drive on my brand new 4x.
I really need to sync my Handy Safe data with my PC, but even if I tried all the connection option available I wasn't able to sync them.
Any help really appreciated, thanks.

I think what he 'is looking for is a USB Host feature. I don't think that the 4xHD can do that out of the box...

Yes, I have an application (Handy Safe, password/info secure storage) I used on symbian and on my 2x before.
You have a mobile apk and a desktop one, and you can sync the datas between them.
Normally I had no problem on changing phone (or ROM), just because I could sync back all my data from my desktop.
Now, on 4x, the desktop application can't sync data because he is not able to find the drive where the mobile database is!
I'm quite desperate about this, I had many many infos on that program, and I'll hate to digit those infos again on the phone...
I found a solution from the net if you still have problem, just copy the 3 files from epocware directory from pc to phones internal card where it is installed .Your data is transferred.

[Q] Access SD card as Windows drive

Good morning guys!
After buying one for my personal use months ago (best purchase ever) my department here at work just bought 150 P880's.
We have a small issue with our technicians who are trying to sync documents directly to the SD card, so my question is:
Is there any way to force the SD card to appear as a normal Windows drive? Rather then another 'Portable Media Player' with folders?
I've considered a few ways to do the sync (FTP server etc) but seems way to complicated. The company frowns on the use of cloud services like dropbox with good reason so that's not an option at the moment.
(All are running JB 4.2.1)

Nope. At this time is not workaround to appear <Internal Memory> and <External Sdcard> as disks on Windows PC.
Only appear at subdisks of device <P880>.

You would need an option to mount the sd card as external storage, and not via MTP. But this is currently not supported from our kernels
Try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32885144

[Q] Best way to sync over usb?

So I am still using Win7 mtp mount with explorer to copy files to and from device. Huge pain in the arse to transfer folders containing a larger than usual amount of files, such as dcim, titanium backups, etc. for some reason the merge feature in explorer doesn't work with mtp..
I have searched for a windows pc synchronization solution, no luck so far.
always sync doesn't even see the mtp. create synchronicity, my favorite, sees the mtp but doesn't seem to work. puresync works for a while then stops with some device timeout error which kinda defeats its batch purpose..
Do you know of a functional over the usb merge/sync method or tool?
thanks!

Is there a WiFi folder sync to SD card app?

Hi
Is there a folder sync app to SD card say from a ftp server?
Keen to sync apps from a nas to my wife's Nokia windows 8 phone?
Thanks
I'd normally put this in the Q&A forum, but whatever... So far as I know, there's no app to do a really proper sync, but you could probably get close enough for specific use cases. Apps are only allowed to see files on the SD card if those files have extensions that the app has registered to handle, and apps are limited to 20 such registrations. Consequently, it's not possible (with an official, third-party store-published app) to build a truly general-purpose syncing app. However, you might find one that can do the formats you care about in particular.
By the way, yes, this is total BS. Not sure what the heck MS was thinking with these restrictions... they are decidedly unhelpful to users
