Supernexus is a pure AOSP build, and if I remember correctly in pure AOSP you can only have the Smiley key because the stock AOSP messaging app is the same
The Enter key in the Messaging app is a CM/custom rom feature and so you won't find it in Supernexus
Easiest solution though, just copy and paste the CM10.1 mms.apk into /system/app, set permissions rw-r-r, then reboot

Click to collapse
Two things:
1. You can edit posts with the "edit post" button (even on the app). Not a big deal, just wanted to save you from extra posts.
2. How did you install the swype? If it was the new beta, you have to uninstall the old one (usually with Tibu), delete the libswypecore.so file (or files, I can't remember), and then install the new one. That might be why you're getting FC's on it.
Okay I fixed it

Newbie here I'm on the latest onecosmic rc4.2 how can I check if my rom is odex or not?
The easiest way is, to look (via root explorer or something else) in system -> apps. There you can see apps with the ending odex or deodex ...

If you get a null keyboard just reflashed the rom.

Anyone have this? I want to use the stock rom, but have a 4.2 messaging app with the emojis and whatnot. I cant find a 4.2 Messaging app anywhere though, in roms or anything.
It might break mms though...look for mms.apk in cooked ROMs...backup and delete messaging.apk, then replace it with mms.apk.
Should I rename MMS?

I have found the app I wanted from Packman ROM. I replaced it and it crashes. By default its named Messaging.apk. would replacing it and wiping caches work possibly?

Is there any way to replace the messaging app with the cm10 app?

I have root access but not an unlocked boot loader

Back up stock messaging app, copy CM10 messaging app to /system, rename and change permissions, copy and replace stock messaging app?
Have you looked at 8sms? It's a version of the CM10 sms app that's installable from the play store. Using that would save you the trouble of having to replace files...
