Do Wiimotes and Xbox controllers work on non-sense roms like CM7 or AOKP? I don't really want to switch but if I can't use any of my controllers that are perfectly capable of being used I may have to. With HDMI out + Wiimote function any phone is a beast of a ROM machine, really want this to work.
Thanks!

Another suggestion if that's ok?
I had remembered that with the IOS vers. of the SNES emulator, that you could use you're iPod touch or iPhone as the controller.
Anyone know of any way to do that with an android phone? ie: use my android phone as a bluetooth gamepad to play emulators with.
I have searched google the past few days and have only seen the Wiimote apk. While that does work, it just seems more convenient to have a phone that is already with you able to do it, that and it only has a limited number of buttons.
Anyone else share the interest? Thanks! =)
+1 to this
I would definitely be interested in this as well, using your phone as the remote would be killer and extremely convenient!
That would be pretty cool. I hope someone develops something.
Yeah it would.
one up for this!
does a project like this exist (even under development) ? i just googled for an hour but i could not find anything useful.
Something that maps wifi signals from my phone to key press on my pc would be great to use with emulators
//edit
hehe... just after posting i found something
http://code.google.com/p/agamepad/
sadly its not under active development
oh and could somebody please move this thread to a more general android section? i just found it via google and then realized its in the xoom forums (where it does not belong imo)
This would be really cool.
Neat idea to contribute: Make it skinnable. So, you could maybe lay it out like the controller of whatever you're playing. (When using Nesoid, you could use an NES controller skin, when using Snesoid, you could use an SNES controller skin, etc.)
I'm more interested in using my phone as a bluetooth keyboard, but I suppose that could be part of it.
I have been looking for an app that will make my android phone into a remote control. I want to have my Xoom connected to my tv and use my phone to control the various media players that I use..
about android phone into gamepad/ keyboard
Hi, do have any news about this apps now? THANKS
try this
i use unified remote<full version> on a daily basis. it is my portable blue-tooth keyboard, media remote, mouse, etc... i even use it on my laptop. it comes with alot of preloaded remotes for various setups.i have never done it, but it does have a custom settings menu to make your own remote setup.. idk if this can control games, but as far as everything else, hellz yeah.
This is a great idea, skinnable would definitely be hot. Of course I got my PS3 controller working on my Xoom already....
I don't wanna root my device just to use my PS3 controller and I also dont have a OTG cable Im getting one in Nov though
well, i was looking for something like that as well. for weeks, but i found something great here at xda-developers its called "blueputdroid" https://market.android.com/details?id=berserker.android.apps.blueputdroid and its doing a great job even if the gamepad does not work this good .. but 4 example the psx4droid emulator made it possible to control via this app. its just need to be configured correctly.
oh thanks`, But "blueputdroid" is not suppot for my darky v10.2 Rom _ _!! and i also find some as similar as it " droidmote client" but it's support through WIFI only...
you can use DroidMote Server / Client in the android market.
look this video and search for other:

I'm not a great player and I am very tired after having developed a lot but this is a small example of the new features:

Hi mate ...
Bt Controller does the job beautifully ... free in the market
'https://market.android.com/details?id=droidbean.btcontroller'
So can you hook up the Wiimote/classic wii controller to the gTab and use it on the emulators? I love the games but I think a controller would help alot!
I'm not sure of the current emulators support Bluetooth connectivity. Its also interesting to mention that there are USB SNES and NES controller's being sold online and at urban outfitters. I wonder if the tablet would be able to detect those.
You can use a Wii Mote with the Classic Controller Attachment.
If you don't like the idea of tethering to the Wii Mote, I've used the following with Success on my EVO 4g (haven't tested on GTablet yet, but should work fine):
http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/Wii-Wireless-Retro-Controller__EF000622.aspx
Tested wiimote works find with free app from market... just search for it
do you need tools to use the wiimote? Is there any lag
Works Solidly, No lag. Setup is very straightforward, set the Key mappings in each of the Emulators, as well as enable 'Use Input Method' under Other settings, enjoy
Sixaxis Controller app lets play games on your phone with your dual shock or sixaxis controller
your cappy needs to be rooted and have a supporting rom with the needed bluetooth protocol
I have tested this app on 2 roms
roms that have the protocol
cynogenmod 7.1 7.0
rom that dont work
apex v9.0
darkys rom v10.2 cappy extreme

you can even connect to tv or a projector and play in HD with a HDMI port on most phones (saddly no HDMI port on cappy)
also the controls are premapped or totally customizable
just uses to see if it works on your phone Sixaxis Compatibility Checker
PLEASE TEST THE Sixaxis Controller APP ON YOUR ROM TO HELP BUILD THE LIST
AND HELP DEVS ADD THE CORRECT PROTOCOL INTO THERE ROMS.
JUST RESPOND AND TELL ME IF IT WORKS ON YOUR ROMMMM
I don't think it will work on any roms but aosp ones. I could be wrong?

well cynogen mod 7 works. i havent done tuns of testing.
It becomes annyoing having to flash and test every single cappy rom.
That is the main reason why im also asking people to test it using the test app on thier roms post a reply so i can post it in the forum
https://market.android.com/details?...patibilitychecker&feature=more_from_developer
BUT asop or not it doent matter it is just a bluetooth protocol that any custum rom can have.
This looks super cool. I wish I had a playstation. Xbox controllers don't use bluetooth, do they?

im almost certian they use infared. I THINK it would be possible to play with the 360 controller with an ir dongle. sort of like how you can connect your phone and tv and use your phone as a remote. It would need a special app and dongle.

The 360 Control is not IR based. It is RF based, however it is not Bluetooth based, it is proprietary. There is a USB receiver for the controllers but it can not work directly through Bluetooth.
FYI, this has been digested and discussed on many a thread, and just to save everyone a lot of trouble: yes, you must be on CM7 or MIUI to use this. It requires a corrected Bluez bluetooth stack, which only AOSP ROMs have. For Samsung ROMs, the only controller you can use is iControlPad (which you can buy here: http://icontrolpad.com/) to use with the Bluez IME app (from the market).
Hi all,
For people who dont know what it is, SixAxis Controller allows you to play games on Android with your PS3 controller. In the latest versions developers included touch emulation, which allow to play games like PES2012 with virtual keyboards.
So yesterday I tried SixAxis Controller 0.3.7...this is the resume of that experiment:
Install. OK
Check Compatibility. OK
Pair Controller. OK
Create a profile to PES2012. OK
Playing. FAILED (No response to controller inputs)
Does anyone tried SixAxis Controller on Nexus S?
Which OS version are you running?
Do you have this problem?
Best Regards
I've tried version 0.3.9 on my galaxy s and it works fine except for the touch profiles which don't seem to work at all!
Btw, I'm on teamhacksung building 12 of ics 4.0.3

Yep, tested 0.3.9 version and the touch profiles still dont work on nexus s 4.0.3 stock rom...
Same thing happened to me when playing gta
playing GTA3 from NS4G ics only gave me analog stick & d-pad control...I even downloaded premade controller maps that people claim work flawlessly and it still wouldn't work for me.
Doesn't work for me!!
I'm using teamhacksung build 15 on Samsung Galaxy S (GT-i9000).
I manage to connect the gamepads but there's no response in the games... any idea??
Worked ok on GTA III
It was a little unresponsive but I think its cause I only have like a gig left...slow....phone...
I'm having problems too.
My Dualshock can connect to my Nexus S, it works on my homescreen with moving, but when I want to play a game (Age of zombies, Nova 3) it doesn't work..
So, recently i bought a ipega pg 9078 gamepad just to play call of duty mobile. The reason i bought it because it was cheap ($20) and i didn't want to invest much for Android gaming. But after i brought it home it didn't connect with codm as codm only supports ps4 and Xbox one controller.
Then, I told the developers of codm to add a wide range of controller support in the future update of the game on their official forum , but they told me to stick up with the native touch controls.
The reason i want a gamepad to play codm because it brings the game to a whole new level.
Plus, i can use upto 8 fingers to play , which is pretty sick.
So, my question is ,
1. is it possible to make a Xbox one/ps4 controller emulator on android, which will emulate the input of any Bluetooth gamepad and make the android device think its a ps4/ Xbox one controllers input?
2. Can any humble developers in this forum make such magisk module/ app / xposed module?
If you can, it will be much appreciated.
There is a Xbox 360 controller emulator called x360ce but it is only available for pc.
P.S. I tried Octopus Gamepad and Panda Gamepad pro but it really sucks (the aiming is really bad)
