Hi all.
I installed Cyanogenmod 10.1 (4.2.2) Maclaw Studio the other day. I saw some of the problems. From the handset volume is too low. When you take a phone call, the voice on the call hear very little. Do not have a solution for this? Because I like this rom.
Regards..

Sorry about my english
I've flashed his ROM on 3 different Minis (excluding mine that makes 4) and all of them were fine when volume down then up again is pressed. Try flashing it again then wipe your data, cache and dalvik.

My active screen saver is Black Hole, just to remind me of where my time is going in flashing, re-flashing, logging onto the XDA site and looking for solutions and work arounds to this 10.1.3 "stable" beta OS.

For those running cognition 3.04, does anyone else notice sometimes when you press the side volume rocker, it only controls the media volume. I would exit apps and wait a while but it doesn't seem to do anything. I can access ring volume by manually changing it in the sound settings panel. I would then have to restart my phone in order for the rocker to control ring volume again. I've tried locking and unlocking phone, but seems only a reboot will reset the rocker's control. Does anyone else have this issue?
Sorry, I don't seem to have the problem. Maybe reflash?

hmm I followed the instructions on how to flash from this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884364. i was coming from eclair so i didn't wipe with odin. so if i were to reflash, does it mean running clockwork again and choosing to install from sd card again, and selecting wipe data and cache as well? I've read in some threads you should use odin to go back to 2.1 then flash again with clockwork. Others have skipped that step altogether and used clockwork directly. sorry i am noob to the flashing scene, didn't want to wait for an AT&T update that probably won't come for a while. glad i found a way with users here to empower my own device
i followed there youtube vid to the t, it worked like a champ no troubles with anything.
Could be a bad flash +1
Hi folks,
While this morning my Samsung Galaxy S i9000 was installing an (auto) update from an app (unfortunately I do not know which one), the phone rebooted. But it got caught in the start up screen (Samsung S animation logo). After a while the phone vibrates like there is an app which crashes...
I don't know how to solve this problem, as a factory reset (startup with volume button pressed etc.) did not work out...
Does this issue sound familiar to anyone of you? Thanks for any help...
Regards,
EJ
"as a factory reset (startup with volume button pressed etc.)"? i haven't heard of that one... do you have clocworkmod recovery? Try Volume Up+Home key+Power when/if you get into recovery try a factory reset wipe cache dalvik cache. Try to flash a new rom using odin... to bad that this happened from an app update...
Done that, didnt work.
now fixed though after using the Video Guide of Darky's Resurrection Edition v9.2 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940671.
My SGS is back into business, seems to be working even better then before I bricked it. Thanks Darky!

So you had cm10 installed? If yes push power + volume down and hold it. Otherwise use smartflash to unbrick. Only kernel 3.0.8 includes this reboot to recovery option. Older ones dont have it...

thats the problem i had CM10 installed but does it have anybody to do with it since i wiped my phone? im trying the power+volume down method but doesnt seem to work...downloading smartflash
just for sure do I press them simultaneously or one by one?
thanks for the quick answer by the way :good:
Plug in your charger and when you come to the charging screen hold vol- and power. (or maby on lg logo works to)
If you can't come to the charging screen use smartflashtool.
ok i seem to have a problem here. i use smartflashtool and everything works ok i enter recovery and install supeuser but my phone keeps looping, any idea?

Hi,
I downloaded a JB 4.2.2 CyanogenMod ROM from the original development's thread. I tried a couple of similar ROMs previously, but my home button doesn't work correctly on apparently any Ice Cream Sandwich + ROM. Essentially what happens is, when the screen is on, the home button is completely useless. Pressing it down, waiting for a few seconds - it just doesn't respond to any command. There are almost no options in the phone related to hardware buttons, and if I, for example, select an option to make holding down the hme button bring up the multitasking window, it still doesn't do anything. The only situation where I observed it doing anything is when the phone's screen is off - pressing the button instantly wakes the device up. I tried flashing the badass kernel, though it didn't really do much. Other hardware buttons seem to be working just fine. I had no such problem on CyanogenMod 7.2 and when I restore a backup with this system, it still works correctly. I don't have problems with getting into recovery either.
Another thing with this ROM is, the lockscreen doesn't appear, no matter if I set a security pattern, set it to slide or whatever else. Pressing the wake button or home button instantly wakes the device up.
I'm not sure whether it's a ROM-specific problem or what, but regardless, as a new user, this is the only forum I can post this problem to. If anyone knows a solution or if such a problem was solved previously, I'd be happy to learn the fix.

Yes. Wipe data, reflash, wait until boot, then go to recovery and then flash gapps.

Edit: Home button does not wake up when it is in deep sleep. So, it is useless. I am sorry We need another fix.

vol down takes me to the software upgrade screen.
vol up does take me to a screen that says recovery mode but that says its data back up for a service center.

Unplug and Power on your phone together by vol down + power button. AFAIK,only if you plug in and press vol down, you will go into software mode.

there's a solution that worked for me when I had my LG p990 and it happens the same issue that you are experiencing
1. Connect phone by USB
2. Enter 3845#*880# in dialer
3. Select Port Settings -> Select CP USB
4. Start hyperterminal, in COM settings select same port like in devide manager -> LGE mobile USB Serial Port, 115200
5. Type AT if response is not OK, change port number
6. Type at%imei, it should display your current IMEI
7. Type at%imei=x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x , where x,x,x... is your orginal IMEI number
8. Reset
only works on stock based rom, maybe you should try, you need a pc with hyperterimal
