Galaxy Tab SEC-SHWM180W

I have a galaxy tab wifi only from korea with only korean and english language.
There a way to install european language? (italian)

nope !!!! if you want to do so . you have to flash european rom . but for sure will lose the korean language ... no more ideas ..

its depend about if you want custom rom or stock rom .. if you want stock rom so perhaps you flash this stock rom Gingerbread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073854 easy to flash .... if you followed the steps carefully
and if you want custom rom perhaps go for this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074759
or if you want rom support all the language and its good but only 1 problem got . can't record video yet , the dev is working for it

perhaps you better check the Dev section sure you'll find what you looking for

You can try flashing a stock from a euro wifi tab, but I'm not too sure if that's possible, I think that's what you should investigate

I have a gsm p1000 and use the overcome 4.0 gingerbread rom by alterbridge86 on xda developers site. It's quite stable, smooth and fast. No problems after a month of use.
Site is down atm but the alternridge forum has mirror sites with the appropriate files.

Hello you didnt tell how to flash the rom
And please can u tell me that y in SGT we use odin to flash the rom y cant we flash directly from recovery like we do in other andtoid phones. Using odin is too complex for me.

you surely can install rom from CWM Recovery just head to overcome thread in dev section or any gsm rom thread in dev section and read in.
if you already have CWM then its easy.

I think i have cwm i have rooted my tab and when i restart my phone i press some key and several options comes like reboot flash advanced and all that is it CWM????

Overcome is down for now. Here's a mirror = guide... In the event of preferring zips to install ; take a look at AF974's recent ROM.
As for theming, use the Kitchen and build a theme to measure.

You can do this for GB stock'ish or just go with full_overcome4.0 rom which is an all in one rom+kernel
Go here and download gbsafe_v5. Zip. It has everything you need including drivers and odin files

Also download overcome-kernel_4. 0.tar file as well.
Once you downloaded these two files plug in your tab to usb and wait for that phone and pc screen or download mode screen.
Go here and follow steps up to 10.

Your phone is now stock'ish GB with OC'ed kernel including custom clockwork recovery. This version also comes with phone capabilities unlocked so you can use it like a real phone. All you have to do is load tmobile. Modem file. If not then use as wifi only.

Hi,
Loosing the TouchWiz depends on the ROM you choose to flash, most (if not all) custom Rom's don't include it and stay as close as possible to stock/AOSP...

not sure if anybody know what could've caused my P1000 to
reboot whenever i turn off Flight Mode with sim card inserted.
i'm a proud OverCome user since OverCome 3.1.
wiped off my tab after system slowed down cos i wrongly forced
move app to SD.
i install it 100% using the guide with wipe option,
my tab got rebooted whenever phone calls coming in or after phone calls.
flashed with stock rom from samfirmware, tried DXJPC, JPJPC.. all same results.
pit file is gt-p1000_mr.pit
not sure what problem..
i'm using P1000, Malaysia (GSM)
thank you in advanced for any advices

Not a hundred percent sure but I think the device needs the reboot to register the sim.

another annoying question , my phone has calling feature , 3g 2g nd wifi i have image attached at first page for device information you need but plz tell me what is the difference in my stock rooted rom and overcome 4.0 . and whats the deal about modems ? i dont know about mine ..... i would really appreciate a simple asnwer man ...... thanx btw ....

The deal about modems is the differences in supported bands. You seem to be originally on modem DDJPA (baseband) If you flashed the OC 4 you should still be on it as OC doesn't include modems. Your best guess is to take a look at the modem thread and pick JPZ or JQ2, as I did
BTW, OC 4.1 is out with a more up to date kernel based on GB 2.3.6...

You might want to check the Overcome 4.1.0 thread... they have several packages of 'removed' apps, you may get lucky there.

[HELP] Root Ace 2.3.6

I am gonna root my friend's ace but i was unable to find exact procedure to root, I did search alot in this matter but got no luck.
Many threads prerequire you to have CWM flashed and then root/unroot,
But the question is HOW??
I am new to this thread, and if somebody can please tell how to do it with ODIN

No work both. 2.3.6 XWKT8 still unrooted.

My suggestion : Never try to root someone else's phone
Lord Buddha was the first guy who rooted his soul & gained super user access to his mind What busy box version did he use ? Any idea guys ?! Coz it was ENLIGHTENING !!!

i would like to do UN-branded that handset via any custom rom or any model conversation.
Please Let me know.. is it possible to remove korean apps, language and install UN-branded things.

Of course it's possible to unbrand this phone. You can flash Oh.Yeah ROM. Google it. Easy to find. Remember to wipe before you flash or you might face booting/stability problems.

I have already checked with google, there is no any custom rom and CWM available.
Would appreciate if you can share some custom rom for SHW-M100S

You must have the driver for the phone to do this.
Factory reset your phone first (you will face serious problems including fail to boot without this step)
Then put the phone into download mode.
1. Press and hold vol up and vol down while the phone is off.
2. Turn phone on while still holding those buttons.
Next connect the phone to your PC.
Run the included Odin
Select the TAR file in PDA
Start
Wait patiently for your phone to boot up.
Factory reset again

I did same thing.evrything is ok,not much cook rom to choose,but anyway it is ok for me. Only one thing i can not, somebody know to to get stk in this phone,i really need it but almost korean phone hve no this funtion.
If some body know,let me know, i m hightly appreciated

I own a galaxy note n7000...and i just realized that i have an old facion android version the 4.0.4 of android.So i want to chance it to the 4.2.1 version that i found on this forum.Well i found this one ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051904 but i preaty much dont understand so much cose i am a begener.So the help i am asking is to help me undersatnd the speps an the how to do the most safe rom istallation...Plz help!!!

In exactly this thread Chasmodo described the installation procedure very good. If I give you a step-by-step help it wouldn't be different from Chasmodo's.
And if this is too complicated or you do not have the energy or time to concentrate on it, you should stay on 4.0.4 and wait for the next official update to Jelly Bean.
As beginner who doesn't want to read you are in real danger to hard brick your device.
But maybe you don't even know the "speciality" of the N7000 with it's bricking danger.

well first thank you very much for your quick reply.i read the speps but there was steps only for cn users ! i dont now how to install a cm thats the poit.I show the video also but there was not so much setting on my recovery mode as on his.Also i know the dangers of this prosigure... and thats why i made a post for learning corectly the steps.But if u say that it would be better to wait for the jelly bean official update i trast u but i have the time to learn how to hack my rom...so in the end what u say i will do?
And the steps are not very compicated for me i juts what to learn the from top to the botom.

Do I have to unroot my device ???And I just downloaded CM from rom manager to have more options on the recovery mode... Is that an issue???

First u must root your phone. To do that go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
Search for your rom.
It will automaticly root your phone and phil touch recovery.

your next q will be where are the s-apps, video calling etc, then you know

now as u r in stock ics 4.0.4 kernel,which is unsafe, flash a safe philz kernel
why philz kernel...because
1.its safe
2.can be flashed via stocked recovery
3.it gives you root+touch based cwm recovery+safe kernel.
