URGENT phone doesn't start - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I have the i9001 and it is with the CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM and the TWRP. Everything was going right.
A few minutes ago I tried to update the TWRP. I restart the phone and tried to enter on recovery mode, I couldn't get it and suddenly the phone just blocked on the CyanogenMod Simbol. I restart and restart and restart, and nothing changes, it justo block in that circumstance,
I don't know about a solution because I can't enter on recovery mode.
I'm sorry if my english isn't good.
Greetings and thanks
EDIT: Finally I can get in recovery mode, update it, but the phone continues blocking at the same way.

If you are still having a stuck on CyanogenMod rotating logo, you have to wipe data from recovery and restart the phone.
No other way will work.
Regards
Stefano

First, not the right place to ask for support.
Take a look at this post, if doesn't help, try flashing stock ROM.

Thank you Stefano.
That tip was the right one!
It was a problem with SIM Card and after the wipe data, I had to put the PUK instead PIN.
Now everything is allright, thank you all.

when i try to get into recovery all i get is a scrambled screen, it used to be ok before i installed a new rom, will it be a case of un root then re root or is there an easier fix?

Could you upload any image/photo about it?
I think is the bootloader. What is your actual rom? And what rom before flash?
---------
Well, I'm sure your. Problem is whit de bootloader, just flash gingerbread whit bootloader via Odin. look in the forum for gingerbread whit sbl, when you flash them you could install any cooked/modify rom shutout problems whit the screen

What rom are you trying to flash via recovery?
First. You need to enter in recovery and make wippe data and wippe cache, after that, You need to flash via Odin a clear rom.

Now it's stucked on SAMSUNG logo. I've tried to reboot a few times but nothing changes. ANy help would be apreciated.

Thank you for your help and patience ;-)
When I do the combo home+power+volume down I can only volume up to enter downloading mode or cancel. I go to download but what to do next?
It says downloading...do not turn off target but nothing about factory reset.
Thank you so much!!!
Sorry I'm new here
I had same problem.. Boot into CWM, not download mode, and factory reset worked for me.

Thanks but how do you get in CWM mode if you can't get into the phone?
Any other button combo I don't know?
The only thing I ca do is reboot in download mode
CWM = Vol UP + Home + Power

Did you update this way to official ICS?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25947847&postcount=4
If you already did above, then try this:
0. Disconnect USB
1. Power off
2. Hold vol+ & home & power, let go of power once you see Samsung logo
3. You'll be in a special recovery mode. From here you can choose factory reset.

Yeah, I thought maybe you skipped something. I had CheckROM v6 on mine, it's was gingerbread rom. I did a PC Odin upgrade using the stock ICS, and everything was still there working. I did do another factory reset tonight from the settings and not in the recovery menu. Could it be a corrupted download of stock ICS? Some people were saying if you had a custom ICS before, this method won't work. Are you able to put back stock gingerbread?
I have this same problem. Cant get past samsung logo. I tried flashing several times, did factory reset, just wont work. I flashed using heimdall, not odin, would that make a difference?
Flashed back to 2.3.6, that works fine. Tried reflashing official ics, same problem, stuck at samsung logo. Factory reset in cwm does not work. Any ideas?
Hey buddy, I had the same problem tonight when I tried to restart my phone after a build.prop update - changing the wifi interval from 15 to 120... doh!
Got stuck at the boot screen and so out of desperation I decided to wipe, it didnt work. I was still stuck.
So I flashed XXLC1 (Open Euro) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997 with PC Odin and it came back ok . I lost root though but thats no biggie, at least I have a working phone now.
Hope that helps you. Good Luck!

I Know.. but if you are able to flash a custom recovery like CWM i think you can wipe data and\or flash a custom rom instead a stock

you dont need root to flash 2.3.6 via ODIN. if only download mode works for u you only have few options. 1 if u have warranty send it back to samsung. 2 install clockworkmod recovery via odin multi downloader or reflash gingerbread 2.3.6 via odin while your phone is in download mode thats it!. easily sorted when u know how if download mode still works.
strange for a new phone to have bootloop.
hi there after coming home tried to flash the phone
but only thing i get is i hear on my pc that it is connected but not to be seen on my pc.
when i put it in download mode odin doesn't recognize the phone what is to be done with this.
can't get into recovery mode either
happend only once did recovery wipe data but then i got e:
can't mount data?
please help getting desperete to after flashing my sgs2 for over 20 times without any problem
i think the problem is yhat it's not in debug mopde but there is no way for me to get it there becaus cant get into the damn thing
please again how to solve before taking it back for warranty because its a long drive for me to get to the shop

[Q] Bootloop and can't recover with KDZ

Hi,
After flashing the EternityProject's CyanogenMod 10.1 and install Boot Recovery from CWM Touch recovery v6.0.1.1, it went into bootloop animation after reboot.
Did data wipe/factory reset in Android Recovery Mode still went into bootloop.
So tried to recover using original firmware but getting black and white lines on the screen during KDZ software update. Now, I'm stuck.
Anyone has resolution?

Do data wipe/factory reset in Android Recovery Mode still produce bootloop
Now tried to recover but getting black and white lines on the screen during KDZ software update to flash original firmware.

Did you try with battery inside or without? I once was in your situation, putting my phone in sw mode but I got that empty screen. Turned out I inserting the battery solved the problem.

Updated with my post below.
Great! It worked with battery insert before booting into SW Upgrade mode and before the KDZ software upgrade.

SIII Mini rebooting every 3 seconds! Please help!

Hi there,
My phone has started trying to reboot every 3 seconds. Where can I download an Android OS and how do I flash it onto my phone?
First time threader, not a techie. Be gentle.
I have also just started having this issue! Would be great if someone has some advice.
weird, mine started to have this issue 2 days ago as well : o
i smell conspiracy
however, i think you should just read up on some tutorials, there are tons of them out there
What rom? Stock 4.1 or cyanogenmod?

didnt work for me, also bought a new battery, because other sources said this might be the cause of the bootloop. didnt work either. i have the stockrom 4.1.x
that i rooted a long time ago. so i will try to flash a custom rom on it, see if it works
---------- Post added at 01:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:01 PM ----------
i have one question left though: do i need odin to flash the rom, or is it enough to select the corresponding option in cwm? i did read several tutorial about that, most are with odin. my head hurts from the information overload, since i barely have any knowledge about modding android.
a brief answer is appreciated
edit: found the answer x)
So i tried installing cyanogenmod 11 with cwm, but my device keeps booting (half an hour so far) -> apparently i screwed up.
i attempted to restore my backup, but the problem is that the boot error is even present in recovery mode, so i didnt manage to restore it yet. any ideas on how to proceed`?

i forgot to update the thread, sorry about that x).
actually i managed to resolve my problem already and successfully installed cyanogenmod 11. also, the booting error is hardware-based. i realized that it occasionally occured after pressing the power button. apparently the button "presses itself" for longer after using it and this causes the restart. a lot of samsung-users seem to have this problem.
thank you nevertheless for your reply
