I kinf of get the op idea, and both paranoid and aokp are cm9/cm7/jelly bean based
Be a lot easier if libaries and other nececities were updated for ARMv6 past GB on AOSP.
Lewa, its cm based, but heavily modded.

You seem to have took away other aftermarket ROMs like CyanMobile , GingerDX , AOKP and even Oxygen ROM

What is the difference between?

Hi I m coming from Motorola Atrix forum to here cause i ve changed my phone to N7000 I wonder what is the difference between Original n7000 developement and n7000 developement? There was no another original developement topic in Atrix's

Good question!
The original android dev is about android as it was intended by google. (Aosp).
The other one is mainly for samsung based roms (with touchwiz and all that nonsense ;#)

See the sticky post in the Original Android Development forum.

Thank you so much for your answer. I have a little question. Does it mean that roms in original developement doesnt have multiview and other cool samsung features? And last, which rom you prefer? I m planning to flash the Ultimate rom

Thats right, multiview is a feature developed by samsung and is part of touchwiz, both those things arent available in AOSP (Android Open Source Project) roms.
If you prefer a samsung/touchwiz based rom then I reckon Ultimate is alright.
I myself however have am more comfortable with an AOSP rom, currently and for the last year or so ive been using Paranoid Android, which can be found in the Original Android Development section of the forum.
It has alot of nice features such as the Pie menu, DPI Mods (which is awesome on the big screen of the G-Note).
None of the touchwiz features are available on that rom, I prefer it that way.
I suggest you make a backup and just try both : )
Have fun, and good luck!

[Q] 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 stock ROM w/tweeks

So I was wondering if any dev would take my proposal on building a mod sense ROM with some minor tweaks....
I know I know then it won't be stock it would be a custom ROM but here it goes....
Basically all the stock features with only few things like a dark theme and a tablet/phablet mode and if you like the halo/pie things. Or minor customizations on the key pads/dialer settings.

True but none of rhe stock have any of the features that the custom rom have.... I for instant wouldn't mind having the option of a dark theme like slim bean for instance table/phablet from aosp ROMs and minor tweaks from CM... I come from a nexus phone and jbsourcery was the best ROM I tried cuz it had so many things to choose feom

[Q] Touchwiz apps top bar

Hi guys, just a curiosity, how to edit the bar at the top of the screen that is present across most of TW apps? I want to make a custom rom based on Samsung's JB 4.1.2 the most possible faithful to AOSP. I don't know file's name and if it's present in framework-res or in twframework-res. Thanks in advance.
We already have two AOSP themeing roms (Pure Vallian and Jelly Mod). Can u try something different? Just a suggestion. I likes your work on ChameleonOS

I'm still working on it, it's one of the best roms that I've seen and for this reason I've compiled it for S Advance. Going back to my question, I have tried both roms but I want something more particular and make all TW apps' graphics the most similar and faithful to AOSP, as I said first

4.4 ROMs

Can somebody please explain the differences between carbon ROM & CM? All the 4.4 ROMs look/feel the same to me apart from the awful sounds in carbon ROM.
I appreciate all the hard work the devs put in to making the ROMs. Iv been using maclaws 4.4 since initial release & its perfect for my needs.

if its comparision sorry buddy cant help [forum rules] why cant u check out videos in youtube about carbon rom and cm
Yeah I've googled it. They "sound" very different but in practice they feel the same.
I'm only asking for the main differences between them.
Back in the days of 4.1 ROMs dmod etc all the ROMs were very different. Now they don't seem that way.

I think that they are very different in the settings but their interface is the same cause they are all basedon the aosp project. If you want to see the differences search videos read the Rom posts or just download them and try them both....

i can't compare them but i can tell you both are different from system as other roms are different from scripts, smoothness etc, etc. This is the same case if you want to know wich rom is better we can't help you with that but we can recommend you one
