Hello guys
As you know google play store sometimes have a problem called 492 and it says
Impossible to download app xxxxxxxxxxx for an error (492)
It happens on CM7 and sometimes on stock rom
Good
In this guide i will show you how to fix this problem with a simple app called cache fixer
Low cost phone,as you know, haven't a large internal storage and when we download something from playstore its cache go in cache folder of our phone that in our case it is too small and when it is full google play says this error
How to fix
First download cache fixer from here
http://www.mediafire.com/?vdvwxj2c2adaw75
You must have root permissions to use it
Then open it and tick tmpfs then choose move cache
Now if you try to download something from play store you can see that it works perfectly
THE END
hit thanks if i helped you
It costs nothing

Just open any file browser and open the ' .android_secure ' folder.
It's because the system isn't able to read the folder.
Doing that fixed the problem for me in JellyBread. Might as well work for others.

I don't think so. android_secure/"$package_id".asec image is bindmounted to /mnt/asec/"$package_id" folder. I don't know what dependency you see in it. Maybe it repaired bug for you, maybe it have repaired in this time. I don't know.

That's when you actually have the .asec files present in there.
.asec files are created by apps which don't come installed( in system/app/ ) with the rom.
What I'm trying to say is, the android_secure folder is empty after a fresh install of any ROM.
The .asec files would be mounted only when they actually exist in the folder.
I've tried this with 3 CM7 ROMs and worked everytime. So its not a one time coincidence.

I already tried removing .android_secure folder in sdcard, it did work 3/5 times, so you have a high chance that it works but it doesn't work every time. The best method is to flash like my guide so /system, /cache and /data can be formated to EXT4 with no error.

I experienced this too back then in CM7.2. Do you use link2sd or similar app? If so, try removing them and clean your init.d folder. And then clear dalvik cache.

I am using CM7.2 already! and yes I have created sd-ext of 1GB and moved all apps via S2E.
But, the problem with this is, clearing my dalvik-cache from CWM Recovery clears my whole sd-ext partition!

I have roughly 130 apps installed currently. I used Jusada's ICS Final before my current ROM - CM7.2 by FrozenAce Team. The reason I switch to this ROM is, I had uncertain bootloops in previous ROM. It was really unusual experience for me. I put the phone in my pocket and when I get it out, its in bootloop. Anyway, I'm thinking to switch on "Ace of Spades V2- performance".
What my questions are:
1) Are you using Link2SD? Is it really as effective as S2E?
2) When I run batch to restore all user apps + data from SDcard, Is it really fast in moving apps and creating soft links?

Well, to be honest that would be pointless. I have already restored Nandroid backup which doesn't have this problem. But what I'm concern about is, I restored it 3rd time in last 4 days cause of this problem. Now, sometimes I even hesitate while installing a new app.
By the way, I'm seriously doubting on S2E now. I suspect Dragonoid is right. Does anyone using S2E have similar problem?
I also face this problem sometimes... dont know why!!
Sent from my GT-S5830 using CyanogenMod 7.2 by FAT
Yes, I had this problem with S2E.
I never get Link2SD to work, but it's actually great if you can get it to work, because you can select which app should go to SD and which app in /data. Some app like launcher, social, and instant messaging apps usually performs better in internal memory

This problem started when I partitioned my sd card 8gb class2
So phone started lagging a lot
And reboots on app install and uninstall... I had used s2e
Only solution I came across is buy
A faster SD card or don't partition it
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
This problem is pretty common,
The way i did it:
If you partitioned using desktop remove the partition format the SD so its back to factory Then insert it into the phone so the phone recognizes it again, then after that partition the SD card again.
If you did it through CWM, Then Format the EXT and the sd card, but make sure you have backed it up first.
Hope this helped.

Believe me, I faced this problem before, this problem happens when you use the Lucky Patcher to remove license verification and if you fail data folder get the power amp odex file, just delete it and reinstall.
Works again

If your phone is rooted then install s2e from playstore (Make sure ur memory card is partitioned) and check all options except dalvik cache n restart ur mobile. Then check ur internal memory..!!
Yea if u use app2sd it would leave slme space on ur phone. Bt if u use s2e or darktremors script. Then the complete memory of ur apps wil on Sd card partition(Sd-Ext)

Youll like this Mod!!!!
Many of us keep on trying new roms every now and then and for that we know we have to always perform this "Pain In The A**" procedure of booting into recovery to make a BACKUP of our roms!!! . Which eats up a lot battery aswell. This mod will help you make a nandroid backup without booting into recovery.
I am not the developer of this MOD....I just helped the developer in making this mod compatible with our device. It works just fine. i have tested it myself. All credits goes to the developer himself.
Requirements:
1. Rooted android phone
2. A terminal emulator installed on phone
3. Latest version of Busybox
4. A working CWM based recovery installed ( Works even with the Temporary one)
5. Some patience
Installation:
1. Download and copy zip file to SD card
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Choose install zip from SD card, select zip and flash
4. Reboot
How to back up:
1. Open terminal emulator
2. Type su to obtain root
3. Type onandroid
4. Wait till it notifies you that the backup has been done :good:
5. You can restore it from the CWM recovery as you have always done.

As i said i am not the developer...just wanted to share this mod in our forum as it supports. Does it vibrates when the back up is finished? (The script from ameer's thread) . I think it has a add-on of vibration and led lights blinking as and when the backup is finished. ( We Dont have an Led light...(obvious) so that wont work.) I never ran the original script so i have no idea about the vibration thing at the end. This one does vibrate.

I did the onandroid backup with the files installed from the original thread.
2 remarks:
1) you need to install the extra zip file for s5830i referred to with a link in the thread otherwise you will get the error message that your boot partition is not found
2) while making the backup in the background it's better not to stress your phone to much otherwise you will get an automic reboot during the backup process even when the min frequency is set higher than 156 mhz. So I'm not sure if this will work if you will get an incoming call during this backup process

You need to keep your pics on one thing only either the internal or external SD and put a .nomedia file in the one that doesn't have pics. Never had a problem with duplicates when i used it

I wrote how it happens ... Most likely it twice scans the memory card ... What can I do with folder ext_sd?
Duplicate files that are on the memory card...
All I can tell you is to follow zero and my instructions...

MiuiHome bug
Hi everybody!
I installed MIUI 3.2.22 ICS on my HTC raider (Bell) and I have a problem with MIUIHome. I can't navigate on my ''desktop'' cause MIUIHome freeze and I keep getting "miui home not responding".
I don't understand why...
I wiped everything (data, cache and davlik cache) before and still bugging.
Can someone help me plz ???
Thanks!!!!
OK..
There is a problem with miui home needing something written to the kernel...
It was fixed at least once... no idea how...
The simple fix is install another launcher...
Get the miuihome from the market if you want a close replacement

If you can access a computer... you can download your launcher of choice to your computer and use adb to push it to your phone...
