Hi guys, I couldn't find anything related on the forums. Downgrading to 6.14.4 hasn't been an issue on sense roms but since I'm on Sinless Rom it just doesn't happen. I have tried uninstalling the 7 version through system, titanium backup and root Explorer, but when trying to flash the old one in TWRP I'm getting the same "failed" error.
Apologies if it's been asked before but I couldn't find anything.
Cheers, Stef.

Hello All,
I used to be on RoDrIgUeZsTyLe MUIU rom and bunch of other custom roms. Every rom has its ones pros and cons but were not very stable. So, I thought I will go back to stock. So, I flash stock rom and stock recovery and received OTA update and installed the updates. Now my phone is on the below version.
Android Version 2.2.1
Build Number - FRG83D
Market Version - 2.12
Baseband Version - 32.26.00.28U_4.06.00.12_7
I was able to successfully download and install many apps but whenever I try to download YouTube I always get "Installation of Youtube unsuccessfull" message. Also, I researched and saw that some people in Europe on Vodafone rom are having this issue. How do I know if my android version is totally stock?
Do you guys have any ideas on how I can successfully install this app without having to root my phone again? I would like to stay stock and unrooted if possible.
Thanks.
use titanium or manually uninstall the current youtube app, reboot then try to install again. Its because its a system app currently. youll probably have to do the same for car home, street view and a few others
I am un rooted, so I won't be able to use titanium. how do I uninstall manually though? I didn't have any issues installing other apps like street view etc.
Make sure the app is installed on your phone, and unmount the SD before updating...

I tried un mounting SD card and installing and still that didn't work. Thanks for trying to help though.
Try uninstalling the old version of YouTube first.

....if you do not have root access how were you flashing an miui rom?
I was getting the exact same thing as you were, all you need to do is remove the old youtube app
good luck
Thanks for the responses. Like I said in my post I was rooted before but un rooted and went to complete stock 2.2.1. I know uninstalling youtube would resolve this issue but I am trying to find a way to uninstall the app without being rooted.

Hello and thanks in advance for any help, that will fix my problem.
I unlocked the bootloader of my One yesterday via htcdev.com, used fastboot to flash the cwm-recovery and the right boot.img for the custom rom.
After installing the custom rom (I tried Android Revolution and Maximus with the right boot.img), I am able to do almost everything, except downloading purchased apps from the android play store.
For example, I purchased AppMonster Pro, which gets an error, after downloading from the market, which says, that it was unable to install it on my sd-card. Sometimes it says "play service" has ended. This happens to all purchased apps and games.
When I try to install AppMonster Free, it works. I downloaded about 20-30 free games and apps with no problems.
I searched the Internet for this error, where most of the people say, that I have to format the internal sd-card, but I haven´t found out, how to do that and I´m not sure, if that would help because the folder(which includes the file that might be the problem) .android_secure has been wiped before every custom rom installation.
Any ideas?
Have you tried a different version of play store?

I reinstalled the play store, with no effect.
I tried a workaround which worked for me, but the problem isn´t solved.
I installed *.apk of the purchased app from a backup, after moving it to a folder of my internal sd-card.
Now the purchased apps are installed and usable, but an update won´t work, with the same error (can´t be installed on the sd-card...)
I don´t know why and hope, that someone can help me to fix my problem.

The problem has been found in the custom rom from the devs. Installing a newer rom will fix the problem.
Ive installed custom rom with 4.2.1 same as my stock rom
though custom rom has change build type etc
now none of asec files in .android_secure are detected
is there a way to manually install them?
Hi everyone,
I've owned a HTC One since 3 months now, and I started trying to customize it a little. So, I followed the different guides I found on this site, and successfully managed to unlock my bootloader, install TWRP and finally flash a custom rom.
I flashed the Android Revolution HD v12.1 , and everything worked fine. Then, I made a backup with Titanium Backup Pro, no problem again. So I decided to push a little further by installing the CM 10.1 nightly version for the One; indeed, that's a nightly, for sure. I then got back to my previous custom rom and used my TB's backup to restore my datas.
I did not notice the problem immediately, but it was obviously present from the beginning : it appears that I'm not receiving anymore any notifications coming from any app I installed from the Store. I tried to uninstall then install the apps again, did not work. I looked a little bit in TB's option and I found one called "Manage Android ID", TB told me my One had a different Android ID from the previous one; I tried to restore the previous one, but still, I don't receive any notification from my apps !
I have no problem with message, call, missed call... notifications.
So, how can I fix this quite annoying problem ?
Thanks a lot.
A little bump, I need you guys!
try formatting your phone and installing an app, then check for notifications.
Ideally before changing from ARHD to CM, you should format the phone. Also titanium backup tends to have issues when you restore across different implementations.
Currently, I have ARHD. I just tried CM but TB tends to bug the entire system while restoring, anyway that's not the problem.
Of course, even though I didn't mention it, I made a FULL Wipe with TWRP each time I installed a new ROM.
I think -obviously I'd say- that the problem is caused by TB, but I'd like to know if there is any possibility to fix it without wiping the phone and installing ARHD, without using TB; Doing it this way would solve the problem I guess, but if I could avoid to lose quite a lot of data, I'd be glad !
Thanks for trying to help me.
Ok so I started dabbling in rooting my HTC one got the boot unlocked and everything and was working on installing CMod. With CMod you require the Googleapps.zip too but I foolishly put Googleapps.zip on top of the load list and the Rom didn't install but the Googleapps did. So when I loaded up my phone after none of my google services are working now and it keeps giving me error messages.
Obviously this is my own fault for not doing a backup also before I tried this but is there any way at all I can fix this?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Have you tried to flash the gapps now?
I thought I would search for help on XDA but there does not appear to be anyone who has the problem I am facing.
I want to update Android Revolution HD, or go back to stock or whatever, BUT, I have just noticed that TWRP seems to have gone.
The M7 is unlocked and running ARHD 71.1 with TWRP and SuperSU.
Having decided to update I was making some backups and doing a clear out and I tried to open SuperSU.
SuperSU said it wanted to update, so I wentb through the steps to update SuperSU using TWRP.
Trying to update SuperSU using TWRP tells me 'No apps configured'
Now I am worried about the best procedure.
Should I go back to stock and start again or re-install TWRP or what?
I thought I would ask for some expert help before flying off half cocked and getting everything to go tits up!
Expert advice would be most appeciated.
Regards
p.s. The TWRP folder and backup remains although the app has pushed off.
