Hello!
My query is dat how will i change a carrier (sim) in z1? Will i have to wait for d whole battery to drain out? Any other alternative?
Why would you have to wait for the battery to drain?
Just turn the phone off, swap sim cards and turn it back on

Hi,yesterday during a phone call,my kaiser switch off alone, the right led became red and the battery became very very hot . I remove it quickly but too late ! I test after my phone with another battery but nothing,my kaiser is really dead.I've got this pda since december and i think problems will arrive soon on this model.Everybody knows the problem with battery drain, for me it's a latent defect of manufacturing ... Of course i'll get a new one by Orange but it'll not resolve the problem ( remember the problem on the prophet with the speaker .... ) .
Did you try possible solution B in this post?

Thanks,i 'll try now
i use an extended battery(3000mah) and it consistently stats at 75 degrees,my stock battery which i only use for backup always gets hot therefore i use it sparingly
Hello everybody,i've receive a new one by Orange, but my Kaiser doesn't recognize my Sim card ( USIM 2006 ) . I've phoned to Orange and they said me to go in Orange shop to change the sim because they have new generation Sim card ,special for 3G,and better network reception.Since i have this new sim card the battery consumes less energy than before ( same thing, bluetooth, wifi, internet ) .I gained 25 % of autonomy in more with this new Usim card ...
hi , i m running cm7 and i previously had a sgs and sgs 2. on sgs i had 2 batteries and switching beetweens the two i remember that battery life indicator was not so accurate but usable. now i have 3 batteries on my lg dual but when i remove the discharged one to change it with nother one the phone shows me always 0% .... almost unusable. anyone has this prpblem? is there any way to solve it?
You must go to to recovery mode and in advance menu wipe the battery stats.
When removing the battery, wait a while before inserting the new one. That will fix it. If you insert the new one immediately the phone won't realize you've changed battery at all and show the old battery-percentage.
Hi, I just purchased a razr i and I am not sure if there's a problem with the battery or if what I am seeing is usual.
I charged the battery fully when I opened it, it then discharged fully within about 8 hours. I fully recharged it, and agaiin it fully discharged in about 10 hours. It is not connected to anything (I don't even have my sim card in it yet), so cannot understand why it is discharging so quickly , especially as it is not doing anything!
As I haven't put my sim in yet (I need to get a new smaller sim card to fit it), could this be causing an issue ? I don't know if maybe its constantly trying to find a network and this is causing the drain problem.
If anyone can shed any light on what's happening here it will be appreciated. I don't want to get a new sim card CID I still get this issue and the have to change back again, and I expected the battery to last a long time based on what I have read elsewhere.
Many thanks
I had the same problem on mine. Check your battery readings, I think cell standby eats up a lot of battery when you don't have a sim on it
Sent from my XT890 using xda app-developers app
Try it in Flight mode for comparison.
Thanks, I'll give that a try and see what happens
There doesn’t seem to be an awful lot out there regarding having no SIM card inserted and rapid battery drain so I think it’s worth a shot.
I think it would also be worthwhile to download BetterBatteryStats to find out exactly where and what is draining your battery, and also to turn off Google Now (with or without a SIM).

Yes, phone manufacturers say this, that your phone will constantly look for a network if one is missing, it does drain the battery significantly. So maybe try it in aeroplane mode and see how the battery goes. Also consider how many hours the screen is on. The screen is typically the biggest battery drain.
Hi,
I bought a dead Z3c with the intention of using it to replace the screen of my cracked Z3c. Using the 'hold every button down for 15sec whilst charging' technique I happily managed to get the phone charging and turned on, but there are two issues:
1. The battery drains quite fast, like 100 > 0 in 8 hours without use. Battery stats tell me it has 200h+ left and that 'Android OS' is the biggest drain, with 2h of keep awake when its more like 5min.
2. I tried my SIM card in it but it keeps saying 'network unavailable'. The network name shows up in manual cell networks settings ok, both 2g and 3g, but it will not register correctly and the indicator has the little 'R' for roaming. Data works fine, just not voice/SMS, does this mean its locked?
Its running Android 6.0.1 build 23.5.A.1.291.
So a few questions:
1. Can I unlock it by rooting it? Does this stop security concise apps like banking, android pay, NFC, etc from working? Maybe a custom ROM will resolve the battery drain?
2. How can I find out if it is locked if I don't know the locked network and don't have any other SIMs to test?
And if the worst comes to the worst, would it be easier to:
1. Swap the complete LCD & digitisor over to my old Z3
2. Or, swap the entire circuitry and battery from my old phone into the new one (plus the SD slot in my old phone is also broken, so I'd prefer this)
My phone is an unrooted SM N950F. For the last three days sim slot one is not working. A notification for "no sim card inserted" can be seen in the lock screen and in sim settings says the same. Since then i have big battery draining and overheating. I tried safe mode, uninstalling apps, using different sim. Any help would be appreciated.
