Just to let everyone know that my Xperia TX LT29i is running nicely without any issue on Wind Mobile (Canada).
This phone will run on AWS (1700MHz and 2100MHz), but unfortunately Wind is not selling this model.
Device support for AWS is limited, message here if you have any questions.
Hi good evening to everyone, i have my xperia Z c6603 here in the philippines, i have a smart prepaid broadband LTE sim, i am registered to the LTE 995 prepaid 30 days LTE connection. So here's the thing, i can receive 3G,HSPA,HSPA+ but i can't get LTE signal to any location. I've tested in some locations here in Davao City, Philippines, in LTE locations. and worse comes to worst i have no luck in receiving an LTE signal. I have been researching on how to know what my device's band supports and here it is: GSM850 GSM900 GSM1800 GSM1900 UMTS_BC1 UMTS_BC5 UMTS_BC8 LTE_BC1 LTE_BC3 LTE_BC5 LTE_BC7 LTE_BC8 LTE_BC20. i've got this information by inputting this in the dial pad and type in "*#*#SERVICE#*#* without quotes. I really need your help. Anyone here in the philippines who is using smart lte prepaid broadband sim on an xperia z c6603?..
Help is really appreciated.
Hi Guys,
I'm new to this forum so hello to you all. I recently purchased the Xperia Z1 C6903 factory unlocked for use in Vancouver, BC Canada on the Fido network (same network as Rogers). For matters in which I'm unable to do so at the moment due to work and backing up my current phone, I'm unable to test my new unactivated lte micro-sim on the Xperia Z1 to see if it gets onto the LTE network. I currently have a standard sim (non micro-sim) in my Notes 2 which doesn't take the micro-sim and still need to use that phone for a few more days. So if I enable the micro-sim with Fido, this will terminante my current sim and I can't use the Notes 2. This is why I can't test it on the Z1 which is still sleeping in it's box for the meantime. The wait is killing me. My cousin works @ Rogers and has confirmed that LTE bands are 2100 and 2600Mhz. I called up Fido before purchasing the C6903 model and they told me that in order for the phone to be on the LTE network, ONLY 2100 and 2600 Mhz is required. However, I am quite worried seeing some people post that they only see the 4G symbol on their phone and not the LTE. Can somebody please confirm that they have a working C6903 Z1 working on either Rogers/Fido?
Thank you kindly

Not with fido or rogers but using a C6903 with Bell in Ontario just fine on the LTE network

I'm slightly confused - I went from the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to the XZ1 with the same SIM card - as both are using MicroSIM slots.
The Note 1 uses a full size SIM card however.
Using: *#*#7378423#*#* [Thx aridoasis] in your Sony Xperia Phone Dialer and then going into --> Service Info > Configuration - will give you full details on your phone - including the phones working GSM, UMTS and LTE bands. Which you can then use to look up and confirm compatibility. They should also be listed on the white sticker on your box.

Thanks ksoze. Actually you're right, I'm using a Note 1, not Note 2. I borrowed it from my cousin for a few months after my bb torch died (yeah go figure). I know what band frequency is listed for the C6903 and according to what Fido has told me (2100 & 2600), it should be compatible. What alarms me is the number of people who have the C6903 and cant seem to find the LTE symbol when their micr-sim (lte enabled) goes into the C6903 on either Fido/Rogers (Fido's website states that only 2100 & 2600 bands are necessary for LTE which the C6903 supports). They only see the 4G... I still am not able to make the switch into the Z1 to do a test so I'm worried.
Thanks
Hello,
I live in the USA and I bought the Xperia Z from T-Mobile a while ago. I do know that I have the C6606 variant, and it is only set to support LTE Band !V (1700 MHz). I was just wondering if all the variants of the Z have the same baseband chips because if so, I was thinking of flashing a firmware baseband from the C6603 so I can get more LTE bands for when I go to the Philippines in a couple of months. The carriers over there supports Band I (Smart Comm.) and Band III (Globe Telecom).. I will be staying there for a while so I would like to get the most out of my phone, so help please?
Thanks.
All Z may have the same baseband chip, but flashing other basebands won't work for you. It might be locked by either software or hardware.
hi everyone, i m from europe, and i m visiting usa, i have a c6603 xperia z and i need to enable t mobile or att bands. I was thiking of flashing the c6606 baseband, or replacing my motherboard with a c6606 one.
I also tried unlocking all bands (search xda all gsm bands) but i couldn t go throught the process all the way.
ps. i have 3g bands umts bc1 , 5, 8 and i need umts0/1/2/4/10
i also have lte 1/3/5/7/8/20and i need 2/4/13/17/12/25/26/41
Any suggestions?
