Hello.
I Installed the Android 2.2.2 on my HTC Touch Diamond (from connect utb forum). This is a DIAM100 version. And There is a problem with sim card. When I Start Android without sim card, system is normally started all is okey, but when i put the sim card to my phone, system is loading, i see clock and unlock zone than telephone is suspend and one thing what i can do is soft reset.
Without sim card phone work good - normal
With sim card phone doesn't work - on "home screen" is suspend/frozen.
Please HELP MEE ! I want android on my diamond because this is beautiful system with a big big big marketplace and a lot of aplications.
On Windows Mobile all its okay (text messages, 3g, phone call etc.)

Hi Everybody.
Well, i bought my Samsung Galaxy 6 months ago and it's a awesome phone, but now I've got some issues.
4 Months ago - My phone comes with froyo 2.2.1 so I decided to update it using kies to Gingerbread 2.3.3, after that, My phone starts to had some issues, first when I press the home button the phone didn't response, the screen was in black but I could get calls, messages and lisening to music, this was solved after reboot the phone but in any time could happen again.
Now - because the issue before, I decided to use Darky's rom 10.1 and the issue suddenly dissapear.
After 1 moth and a half I decided to flash Gingerbread 2.3.4 stock rom and a new issue appears and since there, I can't solve it.
Sometimes, my phone get lost its signal and when to "Network Selection" a message comes out "Insert Sim Card to access network services", I can't do any call o use 3g, the only way to solve it temporarily is rebooting the phone.
I use many versions (JVP, JVQ, JVR, even MIUI) but the issue still happen.
Please, I'd aprecciate if you can give some help to solve my problem.

Yes, right now my phone has another sim card and everything is fine, but this SIM hasn't got any plan with internet, maybe the problem is when the phone use 3G.

That's what I thought, but I changed my sim card when the problem began.
Should I change my sim card again?

ok, I'm going to chanche my NEW SIM CARD (becase it's new) for another one.
I hope this will solve my problem, I'll let you know if everything is ok or not.

I have just solved a similar problem with my Samsung Galaxy S I9003.
The reason was software unrelated but seemed to be a hardware connection problem. The phone was unable to access the mobile network showing a "No Service" status, also the IMEI number was unknown on the phone settings. The mobile wasn't even requesting the SIM Card code when it was turned on. But the rest of the services were working properly (wifi, bluetooth, etc).
Although i tried everything such as re-flashing, re-rooting and even IMEI restoration techniques such as in youtube "Samsung Galaxy S (IMEI Restoration Techniques)", I was unable to fix it.
The solution was to open the phone and just adjust the sim card slot connectors. I will keep the phone on testing to see if that happens again.
Anyone like to me, I have test , same sim card , same the location , but my other device Xperia z have the 2-3 signal, but the z1 (257) is no signal , too poor,,,,
Anyone can help me?

I'm using Xperia Z c6603. I face a different type of problem. My phone shows all the signal bars yet I'm not able to recieve any phone calls or dial them. I replaced my sim card, yet tit didnt help. Can you guys help me out. I have also flashed my phone.

Flash full stock ftf and try again
I tried but it didn't help. Any other suggestions
guys please help me out with this, it is very irritating
Try to keep your phone in 2g only mode. When i keep 3g only only mode i sometimes can't receive call from other party. But 2g only mode solved my problem....

How do I shift it to 2g mode?
menu->settings->more..->cellular network->network mode-> Only GSM
PS. type: *#*#4636#*#* and check in "phone info"

In old galaxy spica I had similar problem and I had disabled GSM(dunno why) and after second full flash of fresh stock ROM It was working again.

1. When those problem started?
2. After what? did you flash custom rom or Kernel ?
3. You had any app/script that could modify your phone?
4. You had ANY hardware problem before?
5. Your phone fall to the ground?
6. Did it have any contact with water?
7. What system do you have now.
8. did you check sim slot?
9. do you have signal strength in this menu that i post earlier?
1. This problem started a month back
2. It all started suddenly, I am on the stock rom without root
3. No I dont have any app that can modify my phone
4. Yes I had a faulty battery problem which was fixed
5. NYes once it had but it was a long time back before the problem started.
6. No it did not have contact with water
7 I use the stock android 4.4.4 kitkat
8 Yes I have checked my sim card slot, I have also replaced my sim a couple of times
9. Yes I have signal strength -79dbm and 25 asu
My sim works well with my other phones. Is it a hardware issue?
I think Im getting a clear view of the problem, my phone isnt able to shift from 3g to 2g I guess. I came to this place where only 2g works, I had my network mode setting as Wcdma(preffered)/gsm, its reluctant to shift. Is it a hardware problem?
Hmm.... If you have signal and phone see network its not hardware problem. To be honest its more like system or more specific kernel problem in 4.4.4 I say this because you ares sixth person who i know that have network problem in 4.4.4
For examle after flashing kk on my phone i have looooooots of reboots if i have 3g network on, and my phone swith to 2g if its in sleep mode.
My friend also have problem similar to yours but it cant use phone function if its have LTE enabled.
Best part is that when he flashed 4.3 problem is still there, but he didnt had it before when he had 4.3
I cant flash any other system now(i use phone too often )so i dont know if i also would had this problem...
So if you can, you could flash even 4.2/4.3 full clean rom and check, just to be sure. Its a bit "extream" downgrade but flashing it and checking its max 1h...
Probably like always its small weird bug or specific system setting problem, maybe different region rom...
So for now you could check other rom, even branded and downgrade to your old 4.3 to see if you still have such problem.
Seriously its a relif that its not a hardware problem yet.
I also flashed the lower version of the kernel. I am facing the same problem . I use the local region ROM only,

You are not alone, I am also facing this issue and do not know how to resolve it too.
Sometimes when I try to call (full bars on) it makes a bipbip then Call not possible...
Same issue while switching from GSM to H... Most of the time I have to reboot and let it settle for a while.
I am suspecting my network provider

I called up the service provider, it seem to get fixed for a day but again the same problem continues

I'm in spain,having a virtual operator sim called ono,is using vodafone infrastructure.Is needed to have roamin allways activated for data and call to work properly.When stucks to connect,i put in flight mode 1min.With orange sim no problems.With ono sim in a windows phone i had no problem.Now i demanded a sim 4g,will see if are changes.
Woahh happend to me as well , but it happend after turning on mobile data in 15 minutes my network stopped .

hey guys i just an xperia sp to use for music and things but i havnt got a simcard for it so is there a way to disable the auto shut off feature when there is no simcard inserted?
