[Q] Boot problem of rooted phone - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am using galaxy ACE s5830. I rooted my mobile way before. Now, i did factory restore from GUI (OS). But after that it's not rebooting. I tried many options in recovery mode but it's not working.

Then you have to install new firmware from scratch.

Yes, you can follow @aditya rathee steps or try to do the wipes before flashing Odin, maybe it's not necessary and you can boot your phone in this way

[Q] JELLYBLAST V3.0.3(Pop Plus) - Phone keeps restarting

I flashed JELLYBLAST V3.0.3 rom on my girl frind's S5570I(Galaxy Pop Plus) the other day and the phone kept restarting every 30sec and by entering the settings the phone goes to a black screen and halts,I tried a couple of times and the results were the same,I installed stock rom/kernel again and tried flashing only the kernel COR PLENUS KERNEL and again the phone kept restarting,so it made me stick to the stock rom.I was wondering if the problem persists without flashing the kernel and flashing only the rom?Or should i try another costume rom?Can anyone suggest some good roms for this phone?
Did u try this?
from CMW mode
wipe data/factory reset
then
wipe cache partition
then
reboot system ...
That action must be performed after u first time upgraded to JB.
I did that and my device is pretty running well without hitch...

[Q] downgrade from ICS to GB

here is my situation:
rooted galaxy mini with CM9 installed.
i remember when i installed this i first flashed my stock phone using odin. that process rooted it. then i installed CWM in recovery mode. then i installed the CM9 file again in recovery mode.
now i want to go back to GB. i am downloading the official rom for my country from sammobile. my query is that do i simply install that rom from recovery mode or do i again have to flash it using odin or something? also is there a way to UNROOT my mobile or not?
kindly give me a detailed procedure. i looked in the threads for this but did not find detailed info.
thanks in advance
flash the official rom with odin and there you go
Either flash any custom gb-based rom, or just flash stock with odin, the second option will also unroot your phone. Search on yagyagaire.blogspot.com for detailed instructions.
Flash the latest stock rom again..
But first wipe data/cache

what version of odin did you used? for galaxy mini it's recommended to use odin 4.38. here's instruction that i used to upgrade my phone to gingerbread http://yagyagaire.blogspot.ie/2011/12/how-to-upgrade-samsung-galaxy-pop-to.html#more just replace firmware with your region, for me it was europe
firmware is not important..any region is fine...
samsung is racist XD for dividing the same old AOSP gingerbread into different locales and simply adding new lockscreens in new builds XD
lol

Wipe data and cache before and after flashing. Or try using the firmware which has 4 files... use XWKTN.

[PDA]Rescue PDA Final

Recovery PDA. Why use it?
- You flashed to stock rom without wiping data/cache/dalvik
- Can't get into recovery
- Repair soft-bricks
- Messed Partitions
Recovery PDA. How to use it?
- Flash RescuePDA.tar.md5 with Odin 1.85+
- When rebooting phone start into CWM6 *
- Wipe Cache/Data/Dalvik
- Reboot into Download Mode
- Flash Stock ROM
- Voilà, Enjoy Rescued phone
* CWM ask you to install an untrusted zip, doesn't matter if you select yes or no
Download: RescuePDA (Androidfilehost)
Download: RescuePDA (MEGA)
that is my problem yesterday
but solve

Thank you, it works!
Note: I don't know is that specific just for me, but the phone didn't autostart in CWM after reboot (if that should be happen). It stops on Galaxy Mini 2 logo and doesn't go into CWM. Then I tried recovery key combination (VOLUP+VOLDOWN+HOME) immediately after rebooting and that worked for me. Everything else was as described.

[Q] S5830 getting stuck in Samsung splash screen at bootup

Hi All.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 that I was trying to flash with
a custom ROM.
The problem is that it's always getting soft-bricked.
It gets stuck at the Samsung splash screen.
I have tried 5 or more different ROMS for this, but the result is
always the same, although confirmation message always say that
"installation was succcessful".
Needed to flash with stock ROM via Odin, just to be able to recover
phone.
I believe that I'm doing the steps correctly, I have a rooted phone, I
always wipe data/cache/dalvik cache using CWM recovery before
installing the ROM from the SD root directory.
Is there something I am missing here? Any advice?

[Q] Bootloop + Recovery wont boot

So yeah i bricked my phone, its stuck in a damn bootloop and i cannot enter recovery no matter which one i install.
I even flashed stock rom via odin and tried both flashing twrp and cwm, none worked, whichever rom is installed i still get in a damn bootloop and i cannot boot into recovery (blank screen).
Is there anything i can do for my phone?
Thank you all in advance
Try to flash Dorimanx Kernel using Odin (v9.34 for JB Roms, v8. for Stock Roms)
I will upload a guide tomorrow for people facing problems with their recovery. I will edit this when its finished.

can you tell me what did you do to caused that ? or do you have download mode ?
anyway it seems to me a hard break . probably you messed your boot . you got two options:
1.use "RescuePDA" (you can find the thread and every thing in galaxy mini II development)
2.take it to a service center

Download mode is the only thing that works, as i said recovery wont boot and any rom i install is getting into a bootloop. ((
I used triangle away, the problems started after that. I had cwm and cm 10.1 08/18
Is there any way to factory reset using odin?
I have the same exact problem.
I follow the discussion with interest.

Zeruel, i seem to have somehow fixed the problem, however not entirely.
I downloaded some random recovery rom, flashed it with odin and wiped everything (cache, factory reset, dalvik cache), and reinstalled cm 10.1.
Then i flashed back the thewhisp's recovery and booted into cm with no problem.
However now i cannot boot into recovery using volume+- and home and power button, i have to boot to it from the cm.
That i dont know how to solve, but at least my phone works fine
Thank you, but I think to have solved the problem with RescuePDA.
A big thanks go to dlb4all, thank you a lot mate.
