Both apps "Tablet Notifier" and "NotiSync" are working in galaxy gear. I tried and both apps can make gear to receive notification of SMS, whatsapps, etc from phone. However, they both have a serious problem that the battery drains seriously in the Gear.
Anyone tried other similiar apps of notifier without battery problem?
Thanks!
Interesting, I was unable to get notisync to work
Other than those two, i'm not sure that there are even any alternatives let along ones that use less batter :s
For me tablet notifier drains so much battery, only work less than a day. I don't use notisync, i have to try it (whitout notifications my gear seems to be only a very expensive watch hahaha)

Both apps drained my battery significantly. I am talking going from almost a day of battery on the Gear to around 4-6 hours of life.
Never again.
I can't execute notisync on my gear, when i execute it my gear says the display keeps white for 3 secondd and pop up one message annd sayd that the application has stopped.i tried to clear data of the application anf launch it with bluetooth disabled :S

I pair my gear with non Samsung phone. So, no gear manager and
No notification. I tried both tablet notifier and notisync which are both working
However, both apps drains battery seriously in resulting the gear only last 2hours
I consider some battery saving app and tried without successful
So, any good battery app recommend?
I really need notification app, I have installed tablet talk but I don't send
And receive sms
The final solution is to buy a note3, crazy decision?

not so crazy but you can buy a S4 too ^^
My gear is supposed to be delivered today. I downloaded everything i need to root and customize it. I was wondering if there was anyway to use an app lie juice defender to improve battery life. If so, which app is preferred?
Turn off the wrist watch gesture and your fine. A normal use for me drains about 15-20% / 24h..
That's right ! Just turning off the wrist gesture to wake the gear the battery is consuming between 1 5 / 20 % a day / . Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the info. I had one other question but I didn't want to start another thread. Does NFC need to be enable on the note 3 in order to pair with the gear?

Yes. I have the motion activated... the trick is to turn the screen brightness all the way down. I get about 30% / 24hrs with the motion activated and the screen brightness down.

Thanks for the tip. I had motion deactivated to conserve battery but didn't like having to press the button each time to wake up the watch. 30% a day is not bad at all. I would even take 50%. Anything is better than the 24 hour time I've been seeing posted by reviewers. That worried me a bit. The good thing too is it charges fairly fast. So that 30% drain will be quick to recover.

My battery life with updated US firmware Null_16 and the Freefalling theme. This is 90% standby time I don't have much time to mess with it at work!

Do you find that battery life on your connected phone suffers? I know keeping the BT radio on will have an impact, but I noticed I had to change some settings in JuiceDefender to allow the data connection to remain active so that S-Voice will work on the Gear. This, of course, means my phone's radio (data or wifi) is always on, when before I used to let JD turn it off while sleeping.
Haven't had the Gear long enough to tell whether or not this will have a serious impact but wondering if there are any tips? I tried finding a setting in JuiceDefender to only turn the radio on when the S-Voice is activated. Unfortunately, that doesn't work.
please help me.
after null_16 my battery life is short.
after 6 hour (only in watch mode without notify or other) my gear shut down.
could you give some tips for extend the battery life ?
thanks
If I turn off the motion wake feature my Gear will go three to four days easy but if I use motion it won't last longer than 12-14 hours. This is with moderate usage. I get probably a total of 30-40 emails and texts and other notifications a day and maybe 10 phone calls. (Most calls not answered on gear) maybe 3 a day. I would love to be able to use the watch without pushing the button. Even a tap on the screen to wake would be acceptable to me. The pebble uses a shake motion to wake which also is better than the Gear motion. I drive for a living and every turn of the steering wheel activates the screen. (Although battery life is not improved on days off.) if I side load apps will my battery life be severely shortened? And to the person who asked about the Bluetooth running all the time, it doesn't impact the battery life of my phone hardly at all.
Just to say I've never used the Gear with a Samsung device. I also updated it immediately to Tizen so have no idea what battery life would have been like on Android.
I'm using a Moto G LTE and the gear Manager and Stub apk. It's not rooted or modded in any way. It works fantastically but I'm finding that the battery doesn't even last a day. I have the Gear set up so it only lights up when I press the standby button so aside from incompatibilities or some problem with the flash I've no idea what the problem is. Just wanted to know if I should EXPECT poor battery life with a non-Samsung phone paired to the watch or if I should investigate re-flashing or going back to Android. The Gear is a lovely device but is a bit useless if I can't make it through the day. I'm already down to 91% and I only took it off charge two hours ago.
Does anyone have any advice? If I can expect the battery to be rubbish I might just order an Android Wear watch; though I actually prefer the extra functionality of the Gear.
Thanks in advance.

How do you mean? The only thing I use Bluetooth for is the watch, other than the odd occasion at home when I connect a Bluetooth speaker.
The only notifications I have it set to send to the device are Robird and Hangouts. Nothing else is set to notify me. Not even Gmail.
It's not tethered to the internet via my phone if that's what you mean. Not even sure that's possible on Tizen. It just is set to send notifications from two ticked third party apps and for phone calls. Brightness is set to 3 and auto wake with hand movement is switched off. Battery now down to 82% with basically no use whatsoever other than being connected.

Yes, I was talking about Bluetooth tethering to the internet which can really affect battery. On Android (not Tizen), I would expect battery usage to be about 2% per hour with very light usage.

OK, I did a hard reset via the recovery menu on the Gear and it seems to have improved things. Currently on 96% after over 4 hours. Still only have two apps set to give notifications - SMS and WhatsApp - and only when phone screen is off. Also still have auto screen activate switched off. Not really sure what sort of battery life to expect but this is better at least!
My P9 with B378 is eating my battery like a hungry monster see atached screenshot what can cause this?
Already did factory reset not working.
I suggest you to show us also the apps consumption... But tell us more details... Are you using SD... As external or internal ...Try to format from phone as sometimes excessive consumption is due to old android files on SD ... Also try to locate which apps is draining more gsam battery monitor may help... And you can reflash from zero but this important you read carefully all threads to document yourself... Other cracks here will help you better than me I am quite new on Huawei...

Here ya go
Have you chosed apps to be closed when locking the phone? Only apps i have running when locking is Snapchat and Messenger.
Facebook is a battery killer, maybe you should try Friendly instead?
Also, have you turned off 4G for any apps? Its probably a good idea to disable 4G for the apps you dont use.
I lose about 10% every hour with medium to heavy use (surfing, instagram, friendly, Messenger and so on).

Apart from androidOS the app that consumes more is email... Could be sync problems?.. regarding Snapchat I cant say nothing as I do not use.. as with muviz... Disable Google backup and check on accounts is someone is getting sync errors...These are fist things to check or try to use the phone without those two/three apps to see if are not properly adapted to nougat for some reason... Or boot in safe mode to monitor how it goes

On B361 my P9 had a bigger battery drain than it had before on B182.
Now on N378 battery life is as good as it was on B182. I'm happy again.
So maybe it's an app that sucks your battery.
Thanks everyone problem seems to be solved now, i disabled or removed all huawei or google related apps now battery life is fine

Resetting your phone over and over does not solve anything.
If after 5 days you still have drain then it must be some app or config.
hi, my huawei p9 also have battery problem but its kinda different. today before i restart my phone, my battery was left at 42% but after the restart the battery was at 1% and the phone switched off. when i charge it, it starts charging from the previous 42% percent. the battery is also very unstable. sometimes it lasts for long and then suddenly drops very fast with the same usage. is it the battery problem or the hardware. should i change the battery?
Yes thats a known bug. Im waiting for a better nougat version to be honest.

Beter to have a Oreo one on P9, becuase I think that Huawei will not provide to us better version of nougat.
HI everyone.
I have exactly the same issue as here, "SystemAndroid" (with multiple applications) is taking much battery. Some time ago it was more than screen took, however I was able to identify couple of things which were charming battery:
1. SD card was used on Samsung phone and then swapped to P9, formatting it helped a bit.
2. I disabled "Ok google function" as it seems it was keeping microphone always on - few percentage less on SystemAndroid.
3. I have turned off history of location - it helped significantly, now SystemAndroid is on around 17-18% while screen is around 26%.
What also I did:
4. Scanning for BT and Wifi is off.
5. Network data always on is disabled.
6. Wifi is set to do not keep it in sleep.
7. Only 3 applications has unchecked cleaning while screen is locked.
8. Removing of messanger, whatsupp etc did not bring any results.
9. Removing SD card also didn't help.
10. Factory reset didn't help.
11. Clear partition cache also didn't help
But still.. most of people has SystemAndroid very low, around 6-9%. I have no idea what to do next to get rid of it. What is strange I set all settings 1:1 comparing with my second phone (P10 Lite) and on P10 lite there is no issue with this. Same apps, same setting, different usage for SystemAndroid. I had this with B397 and now with B398. Any ideas what could be the reason?
Hi Guys, i need help. After updating my Huawei P9 to EVA-L19C636B381, it takes too much battery to my Phone even though its on idle mode. After checking the battery consumption level, Android OS is the main reason for my battery drain. I've done calibrating my battery and factory reset. How can i minimize this consumption? Is it the new Update problem?
thanks!

With my p9 i get 1h of on screen time! ?
It doesn't last 10h of the charger...
I already did 2 factory resets, and it keeps coming back!
Almost 50% of the battery drain is made by Google account manager (28%), android system (9%) and android os (8%).
For me as it is now, the phone is useless...
Tomorrow i call the service...
