Why Google wallet not compatible for galaxy s...is it for galaxy nexus....?

Hello community, i need to change the model number or the phone model of my new g5s plus. I need to get the dexcom g5 mobile to work (the developer of this diabetis software restricted the software to a small amoung of Smartphone -> Supported Smartphones
Android 5.0, 5.1.0 (LG G4 and Nexus 6 only)
Android 5.1.1, 6.0 (LG G4, Nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge)
Android 6.0.1 (LG G5, Nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge)
Android 7.0 (LG G5, LG G6, Nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 5)
Now we got a rooted One Plus One changed mdoel number to -> LG G5 after doing this last year it worked fine.
Now i bought the moto g5s Plus and hoped i can easy rout the device (i did it!) and then i can easyly change the model number like i did before with her One plus One.
I try to change the build.prop file in the system folder
the values from the One Plus One:
ro.build.product=LG G5
ro.build.model=LG-H830
ro.product.device=h1
ro.product.manufacturer=LGE
And it wont work! The Dexcom G5 app is resticted.
I also tryed this guide and it wont work google.de -> How to Change Android Device Model Number on Marshmallow and Nougat

I have a SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 SM-G900A AT&T
I like the phone but it does have the bootloader all locked up?
I'm thinking about one of these, both are unlocked as far as the carrier is concerned.
Can you recommend on or the other for custom roms?
