Had the same problem, only a hard reset worked for me. The problem was in combination with failed number recognition.
Just make a good back-up, hard reset and restore. Shouldnt take that long.

Yes it wil. The problem is created by a faulty install. Update and test, when its working, go ahead and install apps. If it isnt, try a hard reset to clean up the device.

Updating the rom erases all date on your mobile and has the same effect as an hard-reset. If you have the problem after updating the rom, it could be rom-related.
What you could try, is an different MSN-client like 'Slick'..

Turning off the proxy is the solution, you will need to delete the old 3G settings first and then input the settings manually so that the proxy doesn't get re-setup.

Ah, now I get it, sorry.
Turning it off should indeed be enough, if this is the solution.
Okay - If I use the Gear to dial out or from log, it seems to work okay. When I receive a call and slide control to answer, I get the first word, like "hello", and then nothing! Connecting still shows live, but I can't hear them and it doesn't look like they can hear me. Happens every single time. Anyone else run into this?
Are you using the latest version of gear manager?

Not really sure. I checked for updates and it seems to be up-to-date. What is the latest version?

I am running 1.4.102504 - Came out 10/28/2013
I had that problem once and a simple reboot of my phone and a reset of the watch fixed it.
hello all.
quick question ... why does my galaxy gear ask me to pair everytime i reboot it? it prompts for a code ... cant it auto - pair and just do it itself?

the thing is i am using a custom rom on my note3.
when i first got the gear yesterday and i scanned it via nfc it gave me a weird "new nfc scanned" dialog... because the custom firmware had removed the samsung apps store.
in the end in paired it manually and installed gear manager manually also.
it works but is annoying.
i think i'll look for the samsung apps and hopefully that'll fix my issue.
I'm rooted with null 7. Updated Gear Manager to version 1.5.111304. Now phone won't connect with watch. Funny thing is I'm still getting some notifications. I've restarted both devices. Still no luck. Should I go back to stock on my watch? My Gear has been demoted to just being a watch!
Help

I got it back, I had to do a full reset on the Gear. I'm not seeing any new apps in the notification center on the Gear Manager. Not sure why. I have the most up to date firmware. Thanks for your feedback

Guys,
Just got my one plus one phone and I cannot get the gear like WATCH to connect to it. Have already uninstalled the application from the phone and still doesn't work. Have rebooted the watch twice and still doesn't pair up with the app. Any other suggestions that I can try to make these to connect one another?
Ian. B
Fixed: reset Gear and all is working.

The Gear Live is an Android Wear device - it supports all Android phones with Android 4.3 and above. You probably have the Galaxy Gear or Gear 2 which is specifically for Samsung Android phones.

My Samsung Gear Live used to be paired with my Nexus 5 which got replaced by a OnePlus One.
Do I really need to reset the watch just to re-pair it with a different phone?
UPDATE:
I just found the answer @ Google's official Android Wear help page (https://support.google.com/androidwear/answer/6058799?hl=en-GB).
You can switch which phone or tablet your watch is paired with, but you need to reset your watch to factory settings first.
