Nexus 7

I was wondering if anyone is getting the new nexus 7 but is it worth it? I was thinking if I should wait for the nexus 10 are you guys getting the new nexus 7?

The nexus 10 and the 7 are complete different products to me.
The 7 is actually fits in my pockets and is a portable device. The ten inch tabs don't.
Also 10 inch app support still flat out sucks on android on top of that. A 7 inch tablet you can actually get away with a phone app on it. Even apps that are optimized for the 7 often have a different layout than the larger 10 inch.
I used to bluetooth tether to my 7 and use it basically in place of my phone when I had it with me.
Depends on what you want. The 7 may be to close to a phone for some and so on.
I'll be getting the nexus 7. I've been waiting, and I can finally buy it!

Key Lime Pie spotted on the Nexus 4 and 7

Although the newly released Nexus 7 is already running the latest version of Android in the form of 4.3 Jelly Bean, a build number — KRS36B — for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 has been spotted on the Chromium bug tracker.

I personally can't wait to see what changes it brings. The fact it's already being tested means we should hopefully see it this October
Use the search button as there was already a thread on this. Or visually.

What happens after next years Nexus 6?

So, the Nexus 5 is out
And next year the Nexus 6 will be out, I guess...
but what will happen then? Google can't release a Nexus 7, since they already have it...
What do you think will be their solution?

It won't be Nexus 6, just like this year's Nexus 7 wasn't called Nexus 8. We are going to be looking at a Nexus 5 2014 or "the New Nexus 5".
i think it is named NEXUS 5 because of the nearly 5" Screen.
The next NEXUS will probably be named the NEW NEXUS 5

The number is an indicator of it's screen size, not generation. There has already been 2 Nexus 7s. It's called Nexus 7 (2013).
Nexus5V2
At some point I think it'd just be "Nexus."
My guess is that it will either be called Nexus 5 (2014) or they will just come up with a new name.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Well a bunch of people already said it but I'll say it again.
Its based on screen size. We will most likely get 'The New Nexus 4/5" or "Nexus 4/5 20xx Edition" they might make a nexus 6 depending on how well people like the Galaxy Note line up and other 5.5in+ screened phones.

Nexus prime. They should use that name officially for the next nexus.
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
Or they might go to letters though that's less likely. Like maybe they say the nexus g or nexus z, etc. Maybe they'll say something like nexus x like the moto x though none have the same ring to them. I like what you said about nexus prime though I think that's too flashy for them

Roman numerals.
this crap again? nobody knows for sure if the N5 was named such because of the 5th gen Nexus phone, or the 5" screen size (although the N4's 4.7" was much closer to 5" than 4")
lets all just enjoy the Nexus 5 for what it is and stop this retarded speculation of a phone that is a year away from being produced (if it gets made at all, since there is no guarantee in the first place)
They cannot use the "Nexus 6" name whatsoever.
Blade Runner and co. own the rights.

Pull a Final Fantasy. Obviously the best idea.
Nexus V-2.
They could name it after the major Android release. Like they could have called the Nexus 5 "The Nexus KitKat" and then next year could be "The Nexus Licorice, or Lemondrop, or whatever they are going to call it." Or so it doesn't sound so silly, they could just use the letter. Nexus K, Nexus L, etc...
They'll start calling it Google 1

What!, not #1, bye bye Nexus 5 Fire the judges immediately.
The XDA cheerleaders disagree with that ranking!!
Well, i don't know if phablets should be on the same list with smartphones, i mean they have a bigger case which allows a bigger battery and overclock.
Nexus 5 is always number 1!

Agreed! The article's number one choice is too large for a smart phone. I am sure there will be fans of it though.
I would put the Z1 at #1, maybe the yotaphone at #2, nexus 5 at #3.

The nexus 5 is amazing, i just wish LG had better Quality control... 3 faulty devices (faulty sim slot (no sims would work at all), mutliple dead pixels and more even more dead pixels). I may just be super unlucky....
TBH, if the nexus was exactly the same except that oppo or some other manufacturer known for quality, I would easily go around recommending it to people.
Some may disagree, but just remember that this is my opinion.
Samsung is bad too, sony is good and htc is decent (But not the best). Oppo seems to be #1 in terms of build quality and quality control.
