Erm
wat
If you're talking about a Nandroid, no, you can't backup your kernel. You can only backup your current ROM. Also it will not be saved in a .zip format, but rather other forms like .tar.gz.
If you want to make it a .zip, why not just download the kernel from the website and flash from recovery?
Sent from my CM7 GT-S5570I

Nop .. i dnt say abt rom.. i clear say abt kernel. Like firekernal and all that.
I want backup my recently kernel. So.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk 2

There is no reason to backup your kernel, lol..
Why you don't just save the zip into your sd card? Then you can flash it through CWM anytime you want.
Gesendet von meinem GT-S5830 mit Tapatalk 2

Yeah just download the kernel from the developer's thread and then you can flash it anytime you want.

I'm agree with Blackbox421...
What are you trying to do exactly?

I find my way ..

Where to place custom bootanimation?

Where do I have to place a custom bootanimation that it doesn't get overwritten if I flash a new CM10 build?
I know it's possible to replace my current bootanimation at /system/media, but there it gets overwritten every new flash. So, is there a possibility to solve that problem?
Thx!
Gesendet von meinem GT-I9000 mit Tapatalk 2
Hey
Thats the only place u can place a custom bootanimation...
Plus u can alter every rom u want to flash with this bootanimation...
Theres no other way...i guess...

Port SNote to P5110 Tab2 10.1 Wifi

Before I have to emphasize that it has only been tested in a GT-P5110, to understand in a Galaxy Tab2 10.1 Wifi. Of course, this is for advanced users. And I recommend backing up before starting the process.
The first thing is to get the latest official rom 4.0.4.
Then we need to be root.
Well, once we're on 4.0.4 and root with CWM also installed, the following is installing the libraries and of course the Snote.apk. Specific to the libraries are Note10.1 original.
I created a zip with everything to just flash it by CWM and reboot.
Also you can copy the libraries and then install the apk.
As you can see in the video, showed the model so you can see it's not a fake and also weather widget is not the Note 10.1 (I have not managed to port)
Apologizing for the quality of the video.

Flasheable zip
PD: If you have any problems once flashed the zip, the best solution is to restore default unformatted and install the apk included in the zip like a normal application.
Edit:
For completeness, mini_penmemo. It should be installed Snote, copy in System / app

Why root?
If i flash it straight to with stock recovery. What will happen?

Ok... Try installing the apk as a normal application. With rootexplorer can unzip the zip.

Have you 4.0.4? Is very important...
you check with rootexplorer the libs in system / lib. Have if they are copied and if not, copy and restarts.
Good luck!!

Thank you for providing S Note. I have a p5100 on 4.0.4 and I just installed it like a normal app/apk. It works 100%.

SNote from Galaxy Note 2 running on Galaxy Tab 2 P5110.
Doesn't really work as you can't save notes.

Ooo I'm going to try this on my gnote. Hope it works.
Why do it on a normal tab? Regular stylus suck for drawing. I tried it on my tab and it sucked.

Hanwriting recognition is not the only feature of SNote. In any case I have not yet seen anything better for handwriting than Windows 7 tablet with OneNote. It's too bad that Win7 tablets are not as good as Galaxy Tabs.

[Q] very strange stuff

Been playing around and flashing ROMS and Kernels until somthing got F***ked up.
I'm on ClassicRom V6 but the thing is that no matter what i'm trying to flash from recovery the same rom stays on the device. The flashing procedure seems to go like it should but nothing changes i still get back the ClassicRomV6.
Also flashed a stock rom using ODIN but it was buggy and didn't work at all.
Can somone tell what's going on here Please.
Restock gingerbread via odin then wipe all from settings security factory reset, check the option for format sd and get your external sd out before starting the process

[Q] downgrade

hey,
i'm running android 4.2.1. unfortunately i forgot which rom... anyways. i feel like jelly bean is too laggy for me so i thought about going back to ics. my question is: how do i do that? should i just flash an ics rom via cwm or do i have to run a specific protocoll?
thanks!
AW: [Q] downgrade
You can see what ROM you have in Settings --> About.
I think it's like a common clear/clean ROM flash, where you have to clear chache, data, dalvik, ...?
And always hit the "Thanks" button ;DD

right, thanks, i'm running c-rom mix v5
you should backup your whole sdcard
as while downgrading to ics usually the internal sdcard gets formatted
AW: [Q] downgrade
But I just flash it via cwm?
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 7 mit Tapatalk 2
Just take a look at your ICS Rom page
i agree that u should backp your internal sd card as there is a POSSIBILITY that your SD card gets formatted so as I advice dont take the risk and backup ALL your SD card

Good to know you got your phone running smoother now. I'm just wondering why you experienced lag in C-RoM Mix v5 which is also based on Hellybean sources.
I previously used this C-RoM Mix v5 and i found it very fast and smooth.
Anyway, enjoy with your new Rom.

Update recovery? Ok bro. can you please tell Which is latest recovery version is available for samsung galaxy note?
and can i just flash new recovery file directly from my old recovery ?
You can flash forest kernel afaik. Then reboot recovery. From that you should be able to flash your ROM... Always read first.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2739044
That kernel comes with Philz recovery.
Gets overwritten while flashing your ROM. Updates should be no problems from there. As always, I'm not responsible for any problems. Always have a working backup ready. [emoji6]
