I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find it on the search.
I save HTML files on my PC and bluetooth send them to my tilt, but my problem is the tilt loads 80% of the file on internet explorer and then decides to turn on the internet connection to download the leftover 20%. I don't understand why it needs to use the internet if I already downloaded the whole html file. Is there any work around this without disabling the internet? I mean it kind of defeats the purpose of saving an html file if it is just going to connect me to the internet to view a file.
Also the .MHT file is too large and doesn't always work so I don't really find it a great alternative.
Save them as HTM with the accompanying folder instead of MHT?
There will often be a few links staying "online" like ads and such other things that change at every page load, so it tries to connect to get those.
yeah, the only real way to strip it of any 'online' links is to open them in an editor and do it manually. Things like ads will be coming from a sepearte http:// than the original site - removing any links should do the trick.
Another option is to use opera, and from inside that you can save the page to the device locally for later viewing (needs to use data on your phone though... are you trying to avoid this ?)
I have a few hundred text files in a folder on my SD card, and I need some way of searching across them. For instance, if I search for 'balloon', it needs to returns the names of the files that contain the word 'balloon', not in the filename, but in the text.
Bonus points if it would allow for wildcards, or allow me to open the result files in an editor or viewer.
Does anyone know of something like this? It's basically a frontend to 'grep' along with a simple GUI.
EDIT: Oh, and before someone mentions it...Aurora does NOT do this. It can search the filenames, but not within the text files.
An up from a dusty cupboard
Very old thread, up !
I'm looking for a command in Android shell, to do the same job as "grep" for Linux/UNIX ?
Someone got an alternative ?
Thanks
Hi there,
i searched the forum for a while now for a problem that every now and then pops up for me after reflashing. I'm searching for an automatic way to assign my own thumbnail graphics on the sense internet tab.
I use the manual way sometimes after flashing, but it is not satisfying me, because it takes lot of time to copy the files, rename my original files to the newly created ones and copy them back. So most of the time i don't use the icons...
Yes, i know that the pics have to be 512x512px PNG Files, and i also know that they are stored under Windows\Thumbnails .
I'm searching for where the information for the lookup of these pics (for example {2B1EE4E4-651F-D4DC-708B-DB1319CA381E}.png) is stored. I neither found it in the registry, nor in the filesystem as plain text. I copied the whole file system to my pc and did a in-file-search.
For me there are now to last possibilities where to find them:
Theyre stored as hex values in registry or in filesystem, so that a normal textsearch is useless or
theyre stored in a database file.
If someone has an idea which file it is or if theres another possibility i would be glad to hear it. It makes me crazy that we can change EVERYTHING on our wm-devices since years, but something like the bookmark icons (whch is significant for me) is so hard to find
best regards, Puckmeister
Are you looking for "Custom icons" or just a snapshot of the webpage? I know that if you save the favorite in opera 9/10 and open the favorite from inside opera (from the favorites menu) you will then see the screenshot of said favorite in sense.
I use for very long time SPB Shell and I am very happy with it, but what I was missing it was a direct link to a web site. For long time I used links on first page of Opera but they are only 9 and I need it more. Sow I start digging for a solution.
I find this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=490447 on my favorite site (xda-developers.com) but it doesn't say nothing about web links. So I just try a solution by myself and I find it. Please remember maybe somebody else find this solution to, but personally, I didn`t find noting about this subject in my searches.
How you to:
1. You create a new .lnk file or you just duplicate one already existent (you can do this in other programs to but i will explain only for resco)
2. Rename .lnk file with any name you desire.
3. At properties on second tab named "Shortcut" on "Target" field write "http://www.website.com" were www.website.com is you desired website. Please do not forget to write the "http://" part because without the link is not working.
4. Deselect if is need it "Hidden" option on "General" tab other ways backup program will ignore the link and you may lost it on next restore.
4. Whit a specialized program change icon of link with a icon of your choice. I created a icon (png file) with a snap shot for every page I use.
5. Enjoy.
Here is my page in SPB Shell dedicated to Web (for icon used here please visit my blog www.everydaymobiles.blogspot.com)
Hello everyone......if youre like me and just want to beat the crap out of a game that ticks you off sometimes then this is for you. This guide will explain how to edit the apk for fieldrunners hd. I will not supply or distribute the apk, so please do not ask.
First you will need the apk file you have purchased from android market. If you have an apk from amazon app store it will not work.
Start by changing the file extension from apk to .zip. Next, extract the contents of the file to a new folder on your desktop. (Folder can be named anything you like)
Open folder Assets>Data>HighResolution>Maps
Here you will find 4 folders....Cave, Crossroads, Drylands, Grasslands
Open the Folder for the level you wish to edit. (I will use grasslands as example for this guide)
Look for the files that have a ~map.mp3 extension. Open this file with a text editor like notepad. A few lines into the file will see this "startingHealth="20" startingResources="15". Change these values to anything you want them to be.
If you would like to modify the specs for the towers you can do this as well. I find it fun to make one weapon that just kills everything in one blow.
Open folder Assets>Data>HighResolution>Towers. Look for the tower you would like modify and open the file with a ~tower.mp3 extension in a text editor like notepad. Each tower will have one of these files for it. When opened look for <minDamage="129" maxDamage="129"> There will be a line like this for each level of tower, 1,2&3. Change he values to whatever you like, the higher the number the stronger the weapon.
Now that you have editied all maps and towers you want to it is time to button this up. Select all the files and folders you extracted from the zip file and create a new zip file. I use winzip with no compression. Name your new file whatever you like and save it to the desktop or a place you can find it. Now change the file extension of the new file from .zip to .apk. You will now need to sign the file, you will have to learn that in a different writeup. Once the file is signed it will install and you will see the changes in the game.
Good luck tinkering, do not post apk's here, and please act responsibly.
Could you please explain how to mod subway surfers for unlimited money ,they are found at many sites on net but i want how do they mod it
