[Q] 3rd Party Battery Covers?

Is there any store that sells third party battery covers for the Samsun Focus? Something that maintains the same shape/contours but made of a different more durable and less fingerprint-magnet material. How hard can it be to create a mold of the current battery cover? Wouldn’t it also be nice to have a battery cover without the “Samsung” insignia on the back too? It’s already plastered on the front of the phone, why do I need the same logo on the back too?
This is exactly what i'm looking for, anyone find anything?
It would be nice to find a white cover. Then I could have a "White Samsung Focus".
Hmm... I switched to the Focus from an Xperia, and one thing I *really* liked about the Xperia was the soft-touch rubber back.
Anybody think about plasti-dip spraying the battery cover of the Focus to get this same effect?

[Q] Black smudges on white camera

Got my camera Christmas and purchased a $20 black camera bag. After a few days camera had black smudges.
Tried to wipe off but was not successful. Has anyone else experience the same and were they successful in cleaning?
I did contact at&t store but have not heard back from manager.
Update: Finally heard back from AT&T, they gave me a new replacement part (free). After removing five screws part was replaced. Now i will have to baby camera or somehow get all dark covers from T-Mobile (fat chance).
I have this on rubber handle, it looks like it is amortized and colored very quickly. White color was not good idea to buy due to low quality of that rubber.

Beginner tips for Gear VR

I'll try to collect them up top:
Remember to take plastic off of both sides of the lenses
Make the top strap shorter and the side straps longer so that the side straps don't cover your ears, but the fit is still tight (allows for better headphone immersion)
Adjusting the headset up and down on your face can help a lot with the sharpness of the image
Put it on your lap or wear it backwards several minutes before using it to warm up the lenses so that they don't steam up while you're using it
Exynos versions of the Note 4 are not yet compatible with the Gear
The gray plastic cover is not needed, and is best left off if you want the passthrough camera to look better

Note 4 - Annoying quirks

When I first got a N910F, I immediately noticed the top right corner of the screen was lifting up, which seemed like the adhesive on that side was not sticking. The top left corner had a yellowish tint, and the camera was faulty, becuase when I'm taking a video, the video jumps when I pan to the right. So I returned it and got a N910C as a replacement. This particular unit, also had lifting, but it is on the bottom right. When I put pressure on it, it sticks right back in, but after a few minutes, it lifts up again. What makes it worse is there is light bleed on that corner when the back button lights up. Under direct sunlight, and when the screen is off, I can see "brushed effect" under the main screen (the whole viewing screen) at a certain angle.
I seem to be very lucky with samsung, that I get defective units no matter what I buy. Or is samsung lacking quality control?
================================
These are some of the problems I encountered with each device as far as I can remember:
1. S3 i9300 = I had to go through 5 units, reasons are the Sudden Death Syndrome, and the Ink blotch effect. Then after three moths, my lovely 3-year old daughter poured milk on it which damaged the screen, it is now prepped and tested and ready for a new screen, just waiting for replacement screens to go lower...
2. Note 2 N7100 = again Sudden Death Syndrome, and Ink blotch effect (I had to go through 3 units till I got a good one)
Note 2 N7105 = Ink blotch effect and LTE was erratic (first unit returned, and good second unit sold)
3. Note 3 (N9005) - pinkish tint on lower half of screen
Note 3 (N900T) - first and only unit I had, had a faulty ear piece. When the phone was on, even I wasn't doing anything, I can hear a 56k modem-like noise coming from it. Tmobile people confirmed this.
4. S4 (i9505) - first unit had very strong pink tint on lower 1/4 of screen, second unit had a small piece of dirt on the center of screen, third unit is awesome, but I sold it on swappa because I got a Tmobile (M919) version which I am still using today.
5. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 = the bezel next to the sd card slot came apart out of the box.
6. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 = Buzzing sound coming from the screen (not speaker), I still have this unit now, look at my signature to see video.
7. Note 4 (N910F) = yellow tint of top left corner, faulty camera
Note 4 (N910C) = lifting bottom right corner, light bleed on same side, brushed effect under viewing screen, when the screen is off and under direct sunlight.

Could be either of them, neither of them or both.
In any case, I'd definitely return the second unit ASAP if I were you.
Or you buy from a store always who has B grade items or refurbished that it sells as new

Nope, I almost always never buy second hand. This is why I buy from amazon, or Fulfilled by amazon, or from best buy, I don't mind paying a few extra $, as long as there is no problem in returning a faulty item.
the only "issue" I've had on mine so far(not counting bad design decisions, like a protruding front-facing wake button for "convenient" pocket-dialing) is the incomplete application of the oleophobic coating.
there are 2 small spots with no coating, so there will be 2 small smudges if i hold my phone in direct sunlight without using a cleaning cloth first.
it's still better than having the entire screen covered in smudges though.

Galaxy Watch 3 arrived with seal broken

Received the watch 3 today after finally ordering late last week. Was planning to trade in my S3 Frontier (I also have the Galaxy Watch).
However the Watch 3 box looks to have been opened on 1 end as the tape is completely separated. Anyone else have this problem?
Also I'm used to seeing perfectly clear tape on the box but this tape is already yellowing which could mean it was exposed to heat. This box can't be that old.
I haven't turned it in yet or even taken it out of the box. Still trying to decide if it's worth $350 after trade in especially after it arrived open.
There is 2 seals (one on each side) normally.
This one is simple rubber, but the top one is white with some stuff written on it. Was it also cut ?
The rubber on your pics seems damaged and dirty...
Not acceptable at this price point, did you buy directly from samsung shop ?

Yes, ordered directly from Samsung.
The first pic is the bottom seal, it was definitely cut. The other pic is the top seal. It wasn't cut but is definitely yellow.
I agree on the price point. I requested a return this morning and dropped it off to FedEx this afternoon. I'm getting a refund. Maybe I'll look to upgrade in a few months but receiving a package like that left a bad taste in my mouth.
Bummer, but wise move to get it replaced!
