So if I'm getting this right, your saying on a public forum you stole some ones tablet and are bragging about it? If I meet you I'd punch you dead in the jaw and call the cops. This is why the world is going to **** in a hand basket.

If this is a joke, yes that is a bad one to say. Seriously, who in their right mind would joke about stealing stuff.
Not cool to joke about something like this, not to mention filling the board full of junk threads.

I lost my nexus 7 in a house fire.. Nov 18, 3am. :'(
Everybody got out.
People... store your important data in 2 different physical places..or encrypted (aes256 or better) on the cloud. or you may lose it all like me.
All I got grabbed from my house was my phone.
I will probably buy a nexus 7 once we get a place to live and I can afford one again.

yeah, thanks everyone..in the event I found it, maybe I'll post a pic.
my brother found his, but the screen was cracked and was a little damp/smoky/sooty. but my room's whole floor halfway fell down to the next story. I found my laptop but it was burn to a crisp. I pulled the hdd, and am hoping that it might just work.
Man, that really sucks. The nexus 7 can be replaced. Thank god everyone got out safely.

Some people would say that unless data exists in at least three separate places it doesn't exist at all.
Living things only ever exist in one at once. Glad you all still do.

Thanks everyone.
Our house was over 100 years old and had some problems and we couldn't afford insurance or to get it up to code so that we could get it insured.. we heated with wood, but that was not the cause!
it was electrical, started in the front basement and burned up, then over, until the firemen got it out finally. It was 5 stories tall, built on a hill, so the back part of the house didn't burn.
Sadly my room was in the top attic floor in the front of the house and my whole floor collapsed. I have my phone and motorcycle, but I'll have to get a new key.
But we have been showed kindness by friends and neighbors, the salvation army and the red cross. We're staying at a friend's place for the time being.
The good news is we bought a foreclosed house like a year ago, so once we get it fixed up we will have a place to call our own again.

Sometimes the intelligence services bring me in to sing to detainees. It's a measure of last resort after fingernail pulling and electrocution have failed. Some call it cruel and unusual punishment and that my rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody is quite possibly the most godawful thing they've ever heard.
Even worse than Vogon poetry!

Her mother, Janet, said her daughter has only a matter of weeks to live.

I think you are on the wrong forum dude, this is XDA Developers, not a charity organization. Also, check your facts before you repost stuff like this, as most of the time, these stories aren't true.

How are would they put an adult's lung inside a 10 year old girl?
I realize that this is not a charity org site, which is why I'm not asking for monetary donations. All I'm asking for is a couple of minutes out of everyone's busy schedule to just sign a petition that could possibly help the child from my post above or any other child that may face the same situation in the near future.
Besides, the last I checked, this is an off topic forum.
Also for those that feel this is fake...that's why I posted the link to abcnews site. This was also on the news broadcast this afternoon. Check all the news sources online or offline and let me know if you find that this is a scam.

Even when petitions "succeed" they typically do absolutely nothing and the people who sign them go back to their lives feeling like they made a difference. If you really care about something then you need to call or write your representative and encourage others to do the same.
Also for those that are skeptical, the petition to Make Unlocking Cell Phones Legal received 114,322 signatures(including mine) and resulted in an official White House response:
OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE RESPONSE TOMake Unlocking Cell Phones Legal. said:
The White House agrees with the 114,000+ of you who believe that consumers should be able to unlock their cell phones without risking criminal or other penalties. In fact, we believe the same principle should also apply to tablets, which are increasingly similar to smart phones. And if you have paid for your mobile device, and aren't bound by a service agreement or other obligation, you should be able to use it on another network. It's common sense, crucial for protecting consumer choice, and important for ensuring we continue to have the vibrant, competitive wireless market that delivers innovative products and solid service to meet consumers' needs.

Match the imei number on the sticker that was on the phone with the phone if you took it off not sure if the imei is on the box or not

I'd call the cops and go to wherever it is with them just in case the person is dangerous and get it back.
