This is a port of an official build of PA 4.+ for the Samsung Galaxy S (aka i9000 aka galaxysmtd). You should consider this a Beta of Paranoid Android 4.0+!
Code:
#include

* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
Coming other ROM
1. You must be rooted!
2. You must have a custom recovery installed.
3. Wipe your device if you are not coming from PA 4.+ already.
4. Flash the ROM zip, it could appear a warning (all data will be wiped due different partition table)
5. Reflash the ROM zip, it will continue now.
6. Flash the GAPPS.
7. Reboot. (It can take up to 5 min.)
8. Enjoy
Coming from AOSPA 4.0+
NOTE: I'm not responsible of crashes due kernel changes.

So I just got PA to port from a i9000 port. I don't have a SIM card, so I can't test data... I can't test anything really, I can just flash a boot it the package is unsigned, but it will still flash. If this bothers you, feel free to sign it yourself using the ZipSigner app from the Play Store, or you can use the tools found in the port guide. Java won't install on my PC... So an actually OP will be uploaded later today along with a download link. Just wanted to let you all know that it is coming

Finally got a stupid OP up xD I am messing with other ROMs now. So if anyone wants to post screenies for me, feel free. Unfortunately, I didn't see an option to enable the TabletUI when I was messing with PA... Or any PA settings for that matter. But I expect them to come with time
Update coming this afternoon hopefully still no PA controls (dpi stuff) I think though...

UPDATE UP!
I am getting sick and tired of DevHost's slow upload speeds. I am going to use Google Drive for the time being. Anyone have sugestions as to what file hosting site is friendly for uploader and downloader? I hated MediaFire as a downloader But I want download counts as a uploader. I can't get a goo.im account until I get accepted as a RC.
you may have a bunch download's un accounted for with mf, it doesn't count download's if using a download manager such as idm. just a head's up...

Finally upgrading to 4.4+ and upon flashing this one, I notice the WIFI wouldn't cut on in setup. So I originally just went on to another rom (as I had flashed Supernexus right before and WIFI worked on that ROM).. the next rom I tried was CYANFox, but that STILL had the absent WIFI issue. I skipped setup to go into settings and, sure enough, WIFI was greyed out. That's a no-no lol. So, even though I flashed Fluid right before the Supernexus rom I tried, I'm back in Recovery right now trying to RE-flash this ROM after RE-flashing Fluid... in the event that I run into the same issue: Any tips for WIFI? Like, do I need to flash Fluid, then reboot, then flash rom, re-flash rom, then flash gapps or anything like that?
ROM's at the boot animation right now and I'm hoping the WIFI will work -__- cause I've always loved PA.... and I'll be upset if I have to go back to Supernexus (since that was the only 4.4 rom so far with working WIFI) because I left it due to lack of any customization...
Edit: ROM came up and the wifi STILL isn't working. -_______________________- Any suggestions before I chuck birds at 4.4 and go back to 4.3?
Edit 2: Nevermind? I went back to recovery and flashed Fluid after I flashed the ROM and it seems to have fixed it. But that just raises a new question for me....
During the times I'd flashed Fluid, after opting to reboot, Recovery would say "Root possibly lost! Fix?".. The first time, I answered yes, it rebooted, hung for a sec, went to Recovery and then the ROM I was already on would no longer run. Boot-loop, seen?
THIS time, I selected "no", pulled the battery to exit Recovery, and then turned the phone on, it worked.
So, should I always flash Fluid right before the ROM or right after? Also, my phone is working..ish.. Installs of apps just take foreeevvverrrrrr. I might have to try another ROM because I don't think this plays nice with my phone =(
@lam2Smooth just flash fluid. Nothing else xD you should be fine

Haha Just telling you what the build numbers are. My Vibrant is dying slowly... We have two of them and they are both being replaced with Moto Gs. I just don't have time to mess with ROMs and stuff though. I port, make sure they boot, then release. Glad you like it though
sorry to hear bout your vibrant, hows the moto g? ive been thinking of getting a new phone also but not sure what to get, seems like a lot of newer flagship phones are infested with ciq. im not trying to deal with that bs again.

I tried the fascinate build 6 for the 4way buttons. It worked but ended up messing up more than it did work. It was giving me an error such as "%13 cannot perform the requested actions".....or something along those lines.
Not sure what the deal was?? I ended up having to restore back from a ROM backup i had
I have ICS build 5

Then you should have flashed the four way lock screen for build 5 if you have build 5. Build 6 version works great with build 6 I can personally vouch for that. You can't use build 5 themes and mods with build 6 and vice versa it'll work but as you experienced it'll mess up other stuff.

Ooh ok I understand! I was confused on the build name you had. Is there a teamhacksung ics build 6 out already? I just flashed build 5 a few days ago and it was the newest on rootzwiki

I would say so build 6 seems snappier and all around really solid. And don't quote me on this but you should be able to get away with going from build 5 to 6 only clearing cache and dalvik cache so that you won't have to worry about setting things up again.

I might give that a shot later on in the day and let you know how it goes. Worst case scenario I just restore from my build 5 backup
I'm also curious as to what fix they are trying to implement in build 6 to try and get mms working because it still says it's a little flaky. Setdns works wonderful to fix it

Yes the lock screens are build specific...you must have either ics build 5 or build 6. If you try installing these without having either build it well mess your system up

So I downloaded build 6 and only cleared the cache and yes it worked and I still have all my settings and apps. I can confirm that the upgrade from build 5 to 6 wont delete user apps or settings because it's basically an upgrade ROM.

Answered, but: These will work on cm9 only, and as you can see above are very build specific.
That alone should answer that they will not work on other roms.
TLDR; nope.

Is the issue of Bootloop when turning on the GPS resolved in this ROM?
Also, in the Screenshots above the ROM version shows as 4.2.2. Is this the correct screenshot?
Installed However......
Install went ok. Got stuck in boot screen the first time around then reinstalled a second time and it booted fine. Did not install gapps yet. Right now I see no access to system settings via icon in apps drawer or via menu. Ech install I've done full wipes.

As for all the tests I have been able to do with gps, if it doesn't bootloop when turned on, it does tend to try to run in in the background. So I recommend that you just turn it off then reboot. That way it doesn't even try to run (take up resources).

I tested them with dzee's port but it was the same one as yours. Buts its that way with all phones. Its a specific type of gapp that has to be used to use art. I think its like odexed or deodexed. Cyanaosp works for that but these gaps didn't the last time I chrcked

Sorry I really wanted to try this ROM for a while, so I just ported it xD Sadly after using a newer phone, the Vibrant is just too laggy for me so I just ported it, booted it, and moved on to the next ROM I am going to port I think I will maintain 3-5 ROMs for us. As in porting them when they update, because I do not have to know how on how to fix any bugs yet

Ported this rom to the i9500.. settings fc. Anyone had the same error with the port?

its all good man no harm no foul. i wasn't even close to being satisfied with it so i just toyed around with ideas and see what else can be done about the lag during the first few hours after boot, but could never figure it out lol. maybe i can pick it up when or if you ever drop support for it?

I plan to support my ports until the Moto G sources are out and I can build for them. If the Moto G has enough devs though, I will let you have this project and replace it with something else but keep the rest of my ports updated.

Edit: this was a Kernel issue - flashing Fluid fixed it.
No sence...
I see no sense in this assembly. It is largely inferior Slim, Mokee and Omni!

I know you didn't just come to somebody else's thread and put them down because it is not your ROM. This is not the way the vibrant section works and if you think that's the way it works then you are sadly mistaken

Vibe is an old phone with plenty of ram issues (just 3xx MB!?) so as much as I'm happy that many roms are still coming out in support of it my personal experience with many/most of them is that in the long run (not very long at that) are slowing down to an unusable crawl. They're fine to be flashed for flashing's sake, but they're more like exhibitional pieces just showing (to us vibe users) how android *could* be if we had enough ram.
Sadly 1gb is the minimum of what Android needs to function properly anymore and I haven't found a single KitKat rom which can remain usable for more than a week (slowness builds up really fast). I mean nothing wrong with the rom in this thread, I haven't tried it even, but I'm afraid it's the curse of most kitkat roms, maybe we don't have a proper kernel yet, I dunno ... :/
To OP, it seems like a fine piece of "machinery" (your port/rom) I may well give it a whirl...
Your correct I understand the vibe is slow. I've had it for over three years now. At first this ROM is very sluggish but after a fee hours it calms down settled into place and with art on its not half bad. My point was that you (not you specifically other users) can't come into a thread and bash to ops work. Because you don't think its as good as youra

Simple, Stable, Smooth...
I am not a developer, I have learnt (and am still learning) many things from the immensely talented developers on this Forum.
This Rom has been created with the thought that there are many people who wish to continue with Samsung Stock Rom to give them a hassle-free use of their Smartphone, yet they need their Rom to be bloatfree, efficient and Smooth.
This ROM is rooted and odexed for my daily use. Will try to keep the version updated as and when a new stock firmware (with higher/better changelog) is released for the Galaxy Tab 3 (T211) version.
Please do not expect me to customise this ROM any more than what it is. As I said I am not a Developer. Thanks for Understanding.
Only for T211

Hi, I've a question:
after installing this ROM (4.4.2) it is still possible to come back to a Jelly Bean ROM (4.1.2)?
Thanks

Backup your existing rom. Try this one. I don't think you will go back to JB. And I see no reason why you can't go back to JB either. Worst case scenario you will have to flash stock firmware using odin. I have not tried going back and am still waiting for feedback from you guys.

I can confirm that, it is VERY buggy.
After you start the tablet, wait for a couple of sec, you'd be greeted by nothing but a black screen.
You could tap the power on button twice to get it to work, but you'd only see the status bar, nothing else.
Sometimes tapping the back button and menu button randomly could get the Samsung setup wizard out, but even the wizard appears to be buggy.
First being during the Wi-Fi setup, when you're prompted to type in the Wi-Fi password, the keyboard would pop-up for a brief second and then go off again, making it impossible to type in anything.
Second is even if you skip all those, alright, the system appears to be working, the system, mobile data, yeah, those are fine.
However, the glitchiness continues, the power menu sometimes appears to be invisible, some of the pop-up option menu appears to be invisible, installing a third-party keyboard the UI element does not work properly either.
Also, the tablet hung up after installing some APKs through ADB, the status bar became distorted, I suspect that to be a system UI issue too.
All in all, all the rendered UI element appears to be buggy. That's the only thing that needs to be fixed.
All in all..waiting for a bugless rom..thank you for the efforts..all the best for your future projects

Well, since XDA is being a douche and not letting all people to reply on dev board, I can only report the bug here.
To me, the ROM was completely unusable, some UI elements aren't being rendered correctly.
For instance, keyboards aren't showing, sometimes the power menu won't show up, some option menus won't show up.
Most issues are related to the UI.

Okay wow, you're really stubborn, here's a pic to prove it, why the heck would I want to lie about this?
http://puu.sh/b5mMN/62144fbbbd.png
And what do you mean "getting old"?
Everyone's device is the same, you know I wouldn't be mad if your statement was a little less ridiculous, say regional differences, obviously that still wouldn't be the case but it's a lot less ridiculous than "getting old".
FYI, my tab's mobo was replaced about a month ago.

I had no vested interest in making this ROM because I cant use the it without the phone, lol. It was by request. Think about that as you gloss over the "Donation" button. Maybe I will be able to afford the phone and and do more later! For now, I hope you enjoy what I made!
Also keep in mind, this was a "blind" build. There could be possible bugs but... usually not. If you see any let me know and I will do my best to fix them. Although it can be rather hard when you dont have the device.

Yes, we discovered in the Regular S6 thread that you have to be on 5.1 or later to completely flash the ROM. Worst case scenario is you have to odin to stock and try again with the later version.

Yes, unless I broke something it should be fine. Let me know if you see any issues. I did this pretty "blind" but its a lot like the S6 Straight so it should work!

Yep, I kinda miss my Nexus 6 but it was a slug compared to S6 Straight. I would assume the Edge is the same thing.
Love your roms! Left you a little something in your donation box... :good:

You keep this up and people will start to donate to you like this as well. I'm shocked (in a good way) how many post you do in a day, in my eyes that's a great dev/xda member
