Hi, first of all thank you for the fantastic work of this forum and apologize for my bad English.
Recently, I bought a Galaxy Tab. The wireless model, GT-P1010.
I have a problem with a bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard works perfectly with my HTC HD2 with "Typhoon CM7 ROM" in this forum, but I can not connect to the Galaxy Tab.
Any suggestions? I'm desperate.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
your model doesn't support the bluetooth human interface device (HID) stack. so it won't connect to mice, or keyboards.

What boodafli said is correct, unfortunately you won't be able to use HID devices with the Galaxy Tab. However, it does support the Serial Port Profile, which means it should work with a bluetooth keyboard that supports SPP, such as the Freedom Pro. Of course, that does have the downside of you having to buy another keyboard :-\
Thank you very much for your answers.
Really appreciate it all the help you can give me. I followed the steps in this manual:
http://i-miss-erin.blogspot.com/2009/09/connect-bluetooth-keyboard-in-android.html
to add the function of HID, but do not get it to work.
Can anyone support me how to do this?
Thanks!
so i find it has a different way of how to work compared to bluetooth keyboard

i know this is a bit of an old thread but I stumbled on to it while using google. I was having problems pairing bluetooth HID with my p1000.
I wanted to let you know as well as any other googlers that happen upon this thread that to solve the issue I upgraded to ICS CM9 stable.
I was originally using overcome rom 4.1.0 and my understanding is that there was some sort of issue with the overcome kernal and bluetooth hid.
I also learned many carriers disabled bluetooth hid either out of the box or with updates.
So to fix the problem I would suggest upgrading to ICS it has worked beautiful for my needs and fixed the problem I was having.
I have paired a bluetooth keyboard bluetooth mouse and ps3 controller.

Having some problem with connecting keyboard via wired or wireless to Galaxy note. it's working perfectly fine with Galaxy S II, so it can't be the keyboard's fault..It can only be Galaxy Note's own issue. Anyone else facing similar issue?
I have the same problem..mice work fine but not keyboards..
what rom and kernel you using? helps if you tell us this information
I have connected two different BT keyboards and they have worked just fine. What kind of keyboard are you trying to connect? Have you made them available in Settings-->Languages & Keyboards?
Hi, I bought a bluetooth Keyboard with integrated touchpad from Itek. Everything works, but the mouse is a bit slow and I can't change the keyboard layout! I'm using a cm7 rom. Does anybody have a solution?
Hi!
I am currently using a bluetooth keyboard for my hp touchpad. However, when i punch the keys, sometimes, more than 1 characters would appear. The bluetooth keyboard works fine on webos but i have difficulty using it on the android o.s. I am currently using SGA's CM 9 Remix with Webos Rom. Is there any solution for this?
Thanks!
Yesterday I installed CM10.1 VJ Jelly Bean 4.2.2 v5.0 for N1 and have found it to be quite stable and fast. Maybe even smoother than the ICS rom I had been using! But I can't seem to get it to pair with the car dock.
/sys/devices/virtual/switch/dock/bt_addr does populate with the dock's MAC address correctly
/sys/devices/virtual/switch/dock/state reads as 2
From what I can tell it seems it never puts the dock into a pairable state?
Does anyone know if there's a trick to getting this to work?
I found this post where someone seems to have done most of the legwork on how the automatic pairing process works http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=643610&page=3 but I can't even pair it manually since it doesn't show up in the list of available bluetooth devices.
I've verified the my bluetooth is working fine in other capacities.
Thanks!
works with my galaxy s 4 / hacks
