Well you could try..
Buying the recovery disks
Recovery software (specific to hard drives)
If you have the boot disk, try installing Windows & download the drivers from Sony (or http://sonyvaiodrivers.org/), burn iso to CD-R with ImgBurn or something similar. Install Windows OS, then install the drivers.
I really want to buy the original one, but because I am in Mexico, they can't ship to me. Thats why I am offering a reward for the cd.
I already downloaded most of the drivers but the computer can't recognize wifi card. I don't really know why.
And also i would like to leave my pc like brand new with all the programs that came with it.

[Q] external storage cannot mount in recovery

I am having trouble in recovery with my external sd. I am using otg cable which is functioning since I can see files with it in es file explorer. when in recovery (cwm) it will not mount? I have a patriot 3.0 and sandisk cruiser 2.0 neither works. seems as if it is cwm issue but just a guess. both are formatted. im using viperrom s-on and 1.31. thx in advance!
I use twrp and it works just fine

I can also confirm working with TWRP without any issues.
Can I flash twrp 2.5 right over top, I bet that is it, thx man.
Edit. U can and I did and that worked out I like cwm but with this phone's limited memory and otg is essential. Thx for replies.

App for NTFS format ..

Hey ..
i want connect my hard drive 1TB WD to my HTC ONE ..
and its not read it ..
i connector it with OTG cable and in the setting is write its empty and can't read it ,,
its can work ? or i need root my device ?
im download Nexus Media Importer and its still not working ,,
some one can help me with this ?
Bump ..
Never heard about ntfs with android. If it should be possible, then there must be the ntfs-3g drivers in the kernel. I think that it isn't possible only with an app.

You will need to root and flash a custom kernel that has NTFS support. There are a few of them around and they offer plenty of other goodies too.

File Explorer Z3 compact

Does anyone knows how to get an alternative file explorer to work? I can't even cut-paste a file on the sd. Only the bloat pre-installed app does the trick.
Non-root!
Thanks.
Been using Solid Explorer for more then a year now. Highly recommended!

Well, than internal file manager is your only choice. This is an Android KitKat issue.
Gesendet von meinem D5803 mit Tapatalk
Why?
I downloaded from google play Free ES File Explorer
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
No problem with z3c and I have access to system partition. I have stock rom, without root.
The SD card is the problem...

hmm.. looking at solid explorer support forum, the developer saying it is kit kat issue and currently can't be solved. Are you sure you can copy, cut, paste from internal to sd and vice versa?
What's wrong with the included app? It works for me and offers access to DropBox, Drive, etc without charging you money and you can disable the "pls get premium ok" ad without any consequences, and there's no ads. Much like ES File Explorer in usage for file management so I can't complain it's an incomplete piece of crap.
Just wait for Android Lollipop to arrive and you'll get full access to your SD card again. This is Google/KitKat's fault.

N6, Pure Nexus latest ROM.

I attach an external SD card USB and I can see the files from settings --> storage. Root explorer and Clean Player does not see the file system. What gives?
Try this if you are using an otg cable

It's not a USB cable. It's SD, USB interface. Still no go...
