HI Guys,
I came from cm10.0 to install Velox Nameless Rom 1.0.6.2 and I am stuck at the boot animation.
Checked just about everything. I have re-flashed several times and checked OC settings, just can't get pass the boot animation.
Is there anything that I am missing? or should do to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Agmad
Edit:
Hi Guys,
Tried to install a few roms, and they all stuck at the boot animation?
Do you have any idea what it could be?
Tried Velox Nameless, Avatar ROM and Mackay.
CM 10.0 installs fine without any issues.
If you could point me into the right direction, that would be awesome.
Thanks,
Agmad

Managed to install this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1932553.

Hey guys,
I've already tried twice to install a theme on my I9000, but it doesn't seem to work. after installing it using recovery the phone won't load (it just got stuck in the I9000 screen). The only way out was to reinstall the rom (Darky's v8.0 slim).
Does any of you has any idea what did I do wrong?
Here's the post of the theme I tried to install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898892
Hve you tried to clear dalvik cache in cwm and flash the theme again? Works for me.

How did you try to install it? I've used Darky's ROMs since v6 and have always flashed themes over it without any problems.
I've been trying to get ICS on my Galaxy S but every single ICS rom I install causes my phone to bootloop.
I'm on JVU firmware in combination with:
This is the December 29, 2011 / Android 2.3.6 / JVU / Value Pack ? build:
CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS.zip
So far I've tried to flash CM9, Slim ICS and Team ICSSGS RC4.2.
What happens when I try to flash any of these roms:
Progress bar show up, it starts installing
At 5% phone reboots
Boot logos show up
Phone enters recover again and some lines of text show up (not long enough to be able to read but looks like error messages)
After less than 1 second the phone reboots again and the process repeats itself
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Would be much appreciated because this issue has left me frustrated and I just want to have working ICS on my phone.
Thanks in advance.
When installing ICS over the top of Gingerbread there is a requirement to Flash the ROM twice.
Once to upgrade the bootloader to ICSSGS 4.2 version and second for the ROM to fully install.
I did this and was able to successfully upgrade to ICS.
Searching the thread for ICSSGS 4.2 would have provided the answer for this issue.
If this is unsuccessfull flash back to a gingerbread ROM using Odin Darky's 10.2 worked for me. allow the phone to fully boot. then retry you ICS ROM
Before flashing ICS you also must disable anny lagfix that is applied.
I tried flashing twice already, didn't work. I'm flashing darky 10.2 atm and will try flashing an ics rom again when it's done. Thanks for the tip.
I had kind of the same problem, although my boot loop was a little different i think. I Odin'd Darky's 10.1 a few times, but in the end also tried 9.2. That worked. No idea of that made the difference, you could give it a try.

Allright flashing Darky's 10.2 first and then ICS twice was the solution, so weird. Thanks for the help
Hi everyone !
I got a serious problem with my i9000.
Until today, I used first CM9 nighthly build + ICY Glitch kernel and everything worked fine.
After that, I just updated my ROM to the 20120416 nightly, it successfully booted and also worked until i pushed "Reboot to recovery"
After the reboot, it won't load recovery, even the normal rom, it's stuck on a boot loop with Samsung mobile on it.
Can you suggest me what to do, please?
Could be a reason that glitch kernel was replaced again with old CM9 kernel?
Need help !
Thank you

Go do to where it says "Phone is in boot loop can't get to Recovery (I9000)"
So first i'll explain whats the problem.
I went from Slim ICS to stock android 2.3.5 XXJVT. After that I flashed the rooted kernel via Odin, including CWM.
So I got to the recovery and wiped everything and flashed the a cm9 nightly, this was in the instructions SlimICS If coming from stock GB. While installing it stopped after a few seconds and rebooted to recovery where a few lines came up amd rebooted again, alot of red letters flashed between the reboots and it kept rebooting.
I have tried other roms with a similar result:
-After install, comes to kernel loading screen reboots straight into recovery.
-Tried infinitum, succesfully installed actually started OS but got an error acreen in android itself, saying something about encryption or something (forgot it).
I know this is a long story but i've been trying to flash ics again for a lot of hours with a lot of fixes but nothing succesfull.
I hope you guys know more then me. If you need more info please ask, im pretty issed of by phone right now.
Thanks
On I9000
Pull out the battery.put back in.go to recovery and flash again.reboot.
It's does this because u need to be on an ics kernel for it to flash the rom properly.it's perfectly normal.don't worry
It only happens when upgrading the os or flashing cm9 the FIRST time

Hi
I recently put an OMIN rom on my phone and it went into bootloop. So I decided to install a Stock Rom (using odin)(which I'd used before) and try a different rom after. When booting up the stock rom also went into bootloop and I am stuck on the 'Samsung' screen.
Starting to feel slightly concerned.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Stock rom? Which stock rom? JB? Factory reset from recovery. ICS? look for more info.
Thanks for your reply.
I got it fixed but I don't really no how.. I tried reinstalling omni rom and it froze ,so I rebooted my phone and it booted straight into stock.
Bit confused but thanks anyway
Be aware of the brick bug of ICS ... You are doing scary things.
