Audio Mods - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I'm in the process of tweaking my phone to perfection, just curious which audio mod is the best? PureXAudio, Viper4Android, or Beats? not much experience with the PureXAudio or Viper4Android

I have been using purexaudio (now called project ERA) for months and have not needed to try any other mods, I am still blown away by the difference it makes. I have tried using the mod with Beats turned off but for me sounds much better with it on. Viper4android let's you tweak your audio settings regardless of what mod (or stock) audio your using, I use it with project ERA. Viper is great for lowering the min volume setting (speaker optimization, I can't use the alarm without this being on) or raising the maximum (extra loud xtreme). Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Google Music: Best EQ Settings

Hiyas! I made this thread so people can post their equalizer settings . What are you favorite settings for listening to music?
Here are mine...

Don't use---
Edit: I was getting a static sound with that... here is a slightly better one
Don't use---
One last one. After turning off the "3D" effect I am having a better experience.
Awesomeness---
The bass is really nice and lyrics are clear and more 'real' with this set up. If you close your eyes its like the artist is right there . Also there are good volumes pronounced by other instruments (most notably guitar and piano). If you're into a bassy instrumental feel check this setting out! And again the vocals are very pronounced
If you can figure it out you can push these settings into DSP Manager. It isn't too hard, just guesstimate some approximate positions. And set bass to moderate then you're good to go
Only problem is that these settings are pretty quiet.... If you want louder volumes while still keeping some of the bassy feel try this one.
Louder---
To make it more bassy push the first "slide" up.
In the end I chose these settings.
Latest---
They offer good bass and volume pretty much.
Alright now what about you guys? What setting do you prefer and did you like mine?
Nexus S (GSM i9020a)
Kangy - Haka (11)
Eugene's Kernel (Speedey-7)
OC 1100/100 (ondemandx)
Here is mine.

Good settings
Nexus S (GSM i9020a)
CM9 Nightly Kang (Build 1 of v2.1)
Eugene's Kernel (Speedy-7)
OC 1100/100 (ondemmandx)
Cool thread
Nice 3d, however EQ settings are very personal... you must strike a balance between the music you hear, your earphones and your ears, of course.
Not to mention the fact that many of us are currently using voodoo sound, which has an integrated control for bass tones and dynamics, so another variable comes in game...
It would be nice if everyone could post at least the music they usually play.
The only fixed point I'd state is that the "3D expander" sucks a lot as well as the bass booster boosts frequencies in the "mud", so I think it is not that useful
No equalizer
Hi, Recently I installed Google Music in my Sony LWW, but I am unable to find equalizer option.
I installed this because of equalizer option only. Help me please.
You need the musicfx.apk
Besides personal taste its very much depending on the headset you use I think.

This was my settings so far. I used this while listening to Macklemore - Can't Hold us and Childish Gambino - Heartbeat and Skrillex - Bangarang. All of these tracks sounded really clean and good. Listening on Bose TP-1. Let me know what you think.

I am looking for new desktop speakers

Hey people as I said in the title I am looking for some new speakers for my desktop. However, thanks to my current dual monitor setup I need either really short speakers or something like laptop sound bar so the speakers don't get hidden behind the monitors. So if someone has any suggestions that be great.

No I do not unfortunately, here is a pic to show how much space I have, as you can see I currently already have a speaker hidden behind them.

Bump I'd still like to hear some suggestions, preferably for speakers under 100 dollars and I only need 2 speakers since I wouldn't be able to spread out surround sound speakers properly in the room I have my computer in.
Under your budget are the m-audio av30 speakers.

At $149, I'd definitely recommend the av40.

Question about ROM/KERNEL battery life suggestions.

My Nexus 5 is coming in the mail on friday, and I was wondering if anybody found a good kernel/rom + settings to achieve the best possible battery life? Ive been doing research, and CM nightly + chaos kernel seems like that might work.. any better recommendations?
maybe a certain kernel + stock rooted??
anything? my main concern is battery life... but I also need performance.. not extreme performance but i dont want a laggy interface just for better battery life.
maybe also some undervoltage settings?
please people give me some recommendations or even your personal favorite and why.. thank you.

heres exactly what you are looking for http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477889
experiment a little, try out different combos, thats the only way that you will find the perfect combo for your phone, and for your needs. everyone uses their devices differently, has differing needs, and each device reacts differently to every rom and kernel. whats perfect for me can be terrible for you.
Just passing thru....see the post above mine. Thanks

[Question] DAC/Amp for S7 Edge (Exynos)

Hi fellas,
Just want to ask some advice on what particular DAC/Headset Amp is best for our device.
Is Fiio K1 a good fit? By the way, I'm using a SkullCandy Ink'd 2.0.
Tia for the reply.

Any FiiO will work really, I have the E18 and that's been working out great, I've recently upgraded to an iFi amp/dac combo so am interested to see/hear the difference, I currently have/use the E18 on the PC and with Tidal HiFi...wow, sonic bliss.

I concur. I have an old skool FiiO E11. Small footprint and works well.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/usb-audio-t3336776
In all honesty with skull candy headphones, pretty much pick anything supported and use it (audio snob and despise skull candy as an FYI)
I have used the Soundblaster E3 https://www.amazon.com/Creative-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier-Bluetooth/dp/B00J79KNPM
for the Past 8 months works very well for running my Etymotic ER4 earphones. Has the Bluetooth as well as plugging in to my Galaxy S7E via USB as a DAC/Amp.... I use Neutron
http://neutronmp.com/ as my music player on the phone which has a direct USB driver for a pure audio experience. Pictured are the setting screens for Neutron that show the hardware options while using the E3 as the external DAC... Hope you find the perfect audio experience.
James

I'm using the Fiio Q1 and love it, I use it for my PC, my laptop and my phone. The battery life is great as well as delivering a stellar amplification (IMO). Can't recommend it enough!
Some times used my ifi DSD Nano (original Without Bluetooth) with my havi b3 pro 1 and the S7 edge. But most of the Time i use the havi with the xduuo x2 DAP on the Go.

[Q] speaker volum too law

Hi guys, I have two problems I do not know how to solve:
1-level audio speaker is too low when I listen to music or I watch netflix, is there a way to increase audio power?
I read somewhere about media volum limiter but I can not find it on my notes even if I'm looking for it I do not find this option
2- if I block a phone number from the call log using pull-down menus, the number appears blocked but it is not, to block it I really have to use phone settings / block numbers, is it a bug?
Regarding your first question, yes the volume in note 8 is not loud, but you can enhace it in settings>sonds and vibrations>sound quality and effects>equalizer, custom, and there put all freqs to max, besides, you can adjust the performance mode to entertainment

Thanks, I've tried both ways that you have advised me but it does not change much, there is no other way? sure that the sound of this note is really disgusting.

I tried this way, but if I cover the speaker with my hand I hear the sound lower, very strange.
