Some users reported that can be unlocked with "Cydiaimpactor", but don't ask me what is or how it work, cause I really don't know. Search on google or on xda. Good luck

I managed to unlock one!! After rooting it with Cydia Impactor, I unlocked it with the Octoplus box. Had to run the unlock twice and after second unlock I reinserted the battery and input eight zeros to unlock and it worked!

Nice

No. The only way to root ATM is to unlock your bootloader

Why cant you root with HTCDev?
im not sure that the warranty will still be okay if we unlock it
plus the phone is from orange and it might not work

you will loose guarantee either way as the bootloader will show as tempered. More chance to keep it valid if you use the tools HTC provided.
Orange should work just fine. Just try...
On another note i sent 2 phones for repair to HTC "unlocked" and they never charge me for the repair.
yes, i was thinking of only gettin root and not unlocking bootloader

You can undo the root and unlocked bootloader, before you send it to HTC. If you cannot undo because you have too big problems with the phone (frozzen phone,...) they cannot controll it either.

Yes, it's been done. But if you flash back the T-Mobile firmware any time after using this method, the SIM will be locked again.
yeah I did it and it works like a champ what's so wrong with metro firmware
Don't you have to root to switch firmware though. I know it's still unknown, but it'd suck to lose samsung pay

[Q] Just Got My Nexus 6 From Google Store - IS IT UNLOCKED?

Hoping for some help here...
I ordered my nexus 6 from Google Store while it was on sale for the "Father's Day and Grads Sale". I saved $150! I haven't gotten my invite for Project Fi yet, but really wanted to save money on the phone.
Is this handset already UNLOCKED?
Is there a need to ROOT this handset?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you @simms22.
So, if it is unlocked already, can I still use the WugFresh Nexus Root Toolkit to ROOT?

You can but if you don't know how to use the official google fastboot method, we'd recommend doing it that way as fastboot knowledge is very handy
FYI, it will be sim unlocked, but the boot loader will be locked.

you can, but I'd recommend doing g it the right way the first time. anyways, bootloader needs to be unlocked, you flash a recovery, then flash SuperSU. when you boot up, you'll have root.
Nexus devices do not come with unlocked bootloaders, they come with unlockable bootloaders. You'll need to unlock it.

I didn't know that! I just bought mine from T-Mobile. Is it sim locked too or will I still have to wait the obligatory 40 days to ask for the unlock code?

My friend has a 910A At*T Note 4 - I unlocked it and her data, calls, pics, texts all work GREAT!

Thanks in advance - tried searching nothing much came up on this Topic.

To my knowledge there is no root nor anyway to unlock the bootloader.
The phone is locked down.
That is why people who wanted root bought the N910T from tmobile and use it on AT&T.
Sorry to burst your bubble.

I unlocked my AT&T Note 4 and am trying to use it with T-Mobile but it won't register on their network. I can't even make calls, I can only get numbers off of the sim card. Any ideas on what I could do?
