Bootloop FIXED - Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've managed to get myself into a bootloop. Coming from the Honami Flavored Stock rom I flashed the 4.3 leaked rom from Doomlord rom with recovery, so before flashing the Doom kernel. Now stuck in a bootloop .
Can anyone give me directions how to go from here? Thanks.

Reflash kernel first and then the ROM.

when i try to reboot into fastboot the flashtool gives an error: this action needs a connected device in ADB mode so flashing the kernel doens't work?

it means you're not in fastboot mode, cause of the bootloop. Use the force-off button on the back of the phone. Now you'll be able to enter fastbootmode

did something like that. Phone shows blue light now and i choose to hotboot the kernel for the 4.3 leak. Flashtool now says hotbooting selected kernel, but nothing seems to be happenig? Is that correct, or how long should it take?
Edit: somehow got fastboot working again and flashed the kernel. Now flashing the rom again with recovery. Hope all goes well this time. Thans for the help!

I have no experience with flashing kernels, but sometimes you just have to reconnect into fastboot and it'll immediately start flashing

don't know, haven't tried, but fastboot is really simple and fast, and you'll have to set it up to unlock bootloader anyway.
-fastboot devices
your phone is there
-fastboot flash boot .. or what you need
-fastboot reboot
and you'll have to use it only few times, after you install cm10 first time, back to normal routine

I guess you've hard bricked your device and it's possible that you can't recover it...... You should've read BEFORE you flashed that rom, it clearly states that it is for UNLOCKED bootloader ONLY!!!
Anyways, is it possible to get into the recovery? Or doesn't even the sony logo show up?
If you can't get into recovery, try to flash a stock kernel via flashtool, but idk though if that's possible at your phone anymore
Yep, i know it was stupid.
Im not possible to get into the recovery.
The Sony Logo doesnt show up, but when i try to turn it on, it vibrates, like it normal does.
Ive already written that when i try to flash a kernal it says debugging is off.
(See the Flashtool log)

No you tried to flash the stock ftf file, I meant that you should try to flash the stock kernel. Simply extract it from the file, or search for it here on xda, I'm pretty sure it is somewhere
Which file?
And how do i flash stock kernal, please explain im really new in android.
Please give me some more advice
Try searching development forums, there are some ftf files that can be downloaded for you to try. Do not cross flash by the way, just a reminder, be sure its for your model.

Assuming that you are running windows.
1. Download android sdk to get fastboot and adb
2. Put your phone into the fastboot mode and install drivers. Your notification diod should be blue when connected to the PC.
3. Download stockkernel.zip from this post and extract it in the same folder as fastboot.exe is located.
4. Open command line in that folder.
5. Type: fastboot.exe flash boot kernel.sin.
6. Flash the ftf
This should fix it

[Q] Xperia Z1 is recognized as "togari", Z Ultra

As the title suggests, I rooted my phone, unlocked BL and was about to flash CM for Honami, which is Z1, but the flashing of the ROM was stopped because it recognizes my device, a Z1, as a "togari", a Z Ultra. I find this quite odd as I have practically no idea why it does that.
I also tried flashing "togari" CM ROM, but that also fails.
Any fixes for this?

if you are sure that you have an z1... then just remove the device check in the updater script (within the zip...) it is in the beginning... cant really remember how it looks but ... search google perhaps.. then it will flash weird enough ... my s also identifies as an sl... but that is from the build prop

Haha, yes. I google for it and tried to simply delete the device check in update-script, but it didn't work for me. I believe the issue is in my recovery, which is not a 4.4 kitkat recovery. The CWM-recovery I have at the moment is 6.0.3.6 and I believe that is the reason for my issues. I have had no luck trying to find a 4.4 kitkat recovery... any tips here?

I tried this recovery too, without any luck: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49966299
To begin with I got Status 7 error, which is now gone.. I found a tutorial to flash SlimRom for Z1, which is android 4.4.2: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/android-4-4-2-kitkat-sony-xperia-z1-available-via-slimkat-rom-1432702
However, I was only able to make emergency calls, no cellular at all. I flashed CM through the same method and everything I tried worked, except cellular. Thus, I had to wipe it and install stock Sony firmware.
After that I tried flashing CM the "normal" way through recovery and everything installed as usual, but when I push reboot to reboot the system, the phone simply shuts off. Even if I press the powerbutton to turn it on, it only vibrates and nothing else happens. Again, I flashed stock firmware to be able to use the phone again...
I am very confused about this, because it does not give any errors. It simply does not work :l

just copied from the CM11 dev fora...
Install instructions:
first time
- power off the phone:
- hold vol+ and plug usb to boot into fastboot (blu led)
- fastboot flash boot boot.img (from cm10 zip)
- fastboot reboot
- enter recovery, on boot led will be violet for 3'', during this period press vol+
- flash rom zip
- flash gapps zip
- wipe
- reboot
for update just flash rom zip from recovery
Google Apps are not included in this ROM. You'll need to find those yourself if you want them.

[Help] Infinite CM11 launching

Hi guys!
I've wanted to install CM11 on my Xperia SP. I unlocked bootloader, flashed kernel and installed a zip from sd, but when I'm rebooting there's only CM logo. I was patient, but it didn't turned on after 7 hours. I made full wipe and format before installing. Could you help me?
Same problem here. I also unlocked the bootloader, did the wipe & format, then installed the zip. (I didn't flash a kernel.) If I remember correctly, there were some error messages during the wipe & format stage. I'll look it up when I'm home, haven't got the phone with me right now.
Come on guys, I know some of you can help me

Well if you are coming from stock directly, I would advise you to flash the kernel first and then flash the rom from the recovery.
Its about some mounts and partitions.

Wait for Flashtool to notify you that you must connect your device.
HOLD DOWN the Vol DOWN button and connect the phone(DONT RELEASE THE VOL DOWN BUTTON UNTIL FLASHTOOL STARTS FLASHING/DETECTS YOUR DEVICE AND READS ITS INFO)

YES! Thank you! Flashing a kernel first (I used WilliamsKernel) solved this for me.

Yes, it was a stupid mistake.
Locked bootloader. Couple of minutes ago, I just flashed in the XZDualRecovery and then flashed the kernel of TrinityVengeanceRaptorX™ HD 1.3 . After that, I made a serious mistake: I FORGOT TO FLASH THE ROM AND PRESSED "Reboot System".
So now, when I press the power button, my Z1 merely vibrates for once, sometimes with the red light blinking for a while. Yeah, it bricked. Not even show the bootlogo.
Before I flash that kernel, I had backed up my whole system, every partition, so is it possible that I could re-flash the recovery and then restore everything?
Or I have to use a ftf to wipe out everything entirely?

Just flash stock kernel via flashtool (fastboot) then xz recovery and restore your backup
