Hi
I recently put an OMIN rom on my phone and it went into bootloop. So I decided to install a Stock Rom (using odin)(which I'd used before) and try a different rom after. When booting up the stock rom also went into bootloop and I am stuck on the 'Samsung' screen.
Starting to feel slightly concerned.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Stock rom? Which stock rom? JB? Factory reset from recovery. ICS? look for more info.
Thanks for your reply.
I got it fixed but I don't really no how.. I tried reinstalling omni rom and it froze ,so I rebooted my phone and it booted straight into stock.
Bit confused but thanks anyway
Be aware of the brick bug of ICS ... You are doing scary things.

Hi peeps,
I have a problem with my note.
I had installed firmware KJ1 for root and passed that nicely.
Then i wanted to install ics stunner.
first installed AbyssNotekernel42RedTouchCustomLogo.
Then i installed ICS StuNNeR - 1.4.19.
When i installed it al the phone worked perfect with ics.
I only lost my root...
So i tried to do it all over and first go back to stock gb rom.
I flashed it with odin and it succeded.
But now my phone doesnt start anymore.
I got a bootloop at samsung screen.
Tried a diffrent kernel speedmod-kernel-n7000-k2-10.
That didnt worked.
Then i thought will then no root and still have ics.
But i lost cwm as well so i cant go to external SD card where i had ics stunner.
Anyone knows what i can try to get my phone working again?
Do you still have stock Recovery? If yes, do a Factory Reset from there and see if the phone will boot up.

Yeah i have stock recovery and tried the factory recovery.
That didnt helped anything.
Then use PC Odin to flash one of the pre-rooted Roms from here, there's no other way.
So first i'll explain whats the problem.
I went from Slim ICS to stock android 2.3.5 XXJVT. After that I flashed the rooted kernel via Odin, including CWM.
So I got to the recovery and wiped everything and flashed the a cm9 nightly, this was in the instructions SlimICS If coming from stock GB. While installing it stopped after a few seconds and rebooted to recovery where a few lines came up amd rebooted again, alot of red letters flashed between the reboots and it kept rebooting.
I have tried other roms with a similar result:
-After install, comes to kernel loading screen reboots straight into recovery.
-Tried infinitum, succesfully installed actually started OS but got an error acreen in android itself, saying something about encryption or something (forgot it).
I know this is a long story but i've been trying to flash ics again for a lot of hours with a lot of fixes but nothing succesfull.
I hope you guys know more then me. If you need more info please ask, im pretty issed of by phone right now.
Thanks
On I9000
Pull out the battery.put back in.go to recovery and flash again.reboot.
It's does this because u need to be on an ics kernel for it to flash the rom properly.it's perfectly normal.don't worry
It only happens when upgrading the os or flashing cm9 the FIRST time

Hey guys,
Alright so, I flashed RocketROM ICS v1 perfertly fine from a GB rom on my Galaxy Note N7000 the other day but I decided I wanted to try out a new modem for the phone. LA4 I think it was.
Flashed that fine and made nandroid backups beforehand just in case. Now I didn't like it all that much, signal was abit choppy etc etc so I decided to restore back to my old backup I made before.
However, during that restore process, my phone just kept restarting itself in the middle of the store, whilst it was restoring the system folder. So I was like ???, and the phone wouldn't start up again, so I kept trying to restore but no luck. The restarts only happened during restores. (and from what I know now, when I'm trying to flash something big (like a new ROM) via CMW)
So I thought, I'll just flash stock LPY ICS rom using Odin and start over again. But during the flashing, it gets stuck at "NAND write start" at about 80% repeatedly. Obviously by now the phone won't start so...
I was just wondering my options here?
(I still have download mode and recovery to use, however I'm all out of ideas )

Hello,
I was using the Classic ROM v5 and decided to give the v6 a try. I didn't really like it, so I decided to get back to v5, that's when my problems started.
I did everything as usual, wipe data/cache/dalvik and flash rom, the problem is after I flashed the rom my phone it automatically reboots in recovery mod. I tried almost everything, I flashed the rom via Odin, I flashed a new kernel, I tried flashing via CWM (it gets stuck in installation). I don't really know what else to do
Some1?
Try flashing a stock Samsung Gingerbread rom like the N7000XXLC1. If it boots, do a full wipe in recovery. Then you have a clean slate to work with.

Ok, I feel like a retarded now LOL I tried flashing a stock ICS rom and it didn't work, didn't even think about the GB one. Thanks.
Unless you have a safe custom ICS kernel, you are risking bricking your Note with a full wipe. Without a custom, always wipe from GB. You are still booting into recovery so I you have not bricked the phone.

Yeah, I got that part covered (few months ago I bricked my phone, had to replace the board. I don't really know what happened, it just kept booting on recovery, but I got that fixed
Thanks.
Hey!
I've flashed kernel and firmware on my Note successfully several times, but now I encountered a problem:
I'm on Asylum_CM10.1_20130311_n7000 ROM and was using Asylum_CM10.1_20130311_n7000 kernel, all working fine.
Then I flashed a new kernel, HydraCoreNirvana Kernel for Galaxy Note GT-N7000. After this I've been in hell, every time I try to start/boot the phone, it jams on the Asylum startup animation. I tried both from the SD and when the phone wouldn't start, via Odin. Then I tried flashing back to the working kernel above, no help. Now I'm stuck with two non-working kernels and a useless phone. I hope I haven't ruined it already...
I was flashing with the instructions @ rootgalaxynote. com
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Please, I'm drunk and freaking out with this phone (I know 1st world problems).
Do a wipe data in recovery (if u can go to) or ODIN. Then try to see if the phone boots, if it doesn't you can do a clean install of Asylum ROM again. If nothing works(!) Go back to flash a stock ROM via ODIN and then use Philz kernel to re-root.

Tried all that (went straight to stock). No help, I guess somethings gone wrong with the boot sequence, I flashed Philz kernel and now it loops on the samsung animation. Before, it sometimes showed "Android is upgrading 1/83 (or something similar), the number would go up a while, then the start-up animation again and all over again from 1/83. It always seems to jam on the ****ing animation... Gonna jump off the roof.

I got the phone working again. Did a factory reset from recovery and after that the phone started up. After that installed the HydraCoreNirvana Kernel again and now it works just fine. Thanks very much for the help!
