Nook HD+ CM 10.1.3 can't unlock - Nook HD, HD+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a nook hd+ running CM 10.1.3 stable and I am having issues with the unlock screen. I enter my pin and the screen goes black. i press the home button again and its still locked. enter pin and it goes black again. keeps doing this. If I shutdown or reboot, it lets me unlock.
Sometimes it even crashes the nook itself and reboots after I enter my pin.
Anyone else have this issue?

Do you by chance have a cover with a magnet in it to turn off and on the screen? If you do, the solution is to open the cover twice before entering your pin. It is a known bug.

Yes I do. Thanks for the info! Has that been fixed in 10.2.1?

Optimus black soft keys random clicks

My phone is now unusable, once you turn it on the soft keys will light up on their own, any idea how to fix? It will randomly click home button and will exit everything you're doing.
Could it be my screen digitizer? I'm running the ics leak.

Power and home is not a hard reset. That is supposed to boot you into stock recovery. Try holding the power button alone for like 15 seconds. That will totally power you off.
Hardware issue such as a bad chip or display device.

Had the same problem on my HD+. Hold down the n and the power button for 30 seconds or so and it will ask if you want to perform a factory reset. Hit power button to cancel and it should reboot just fine

Try turning off wifi while pairing. Once paired, turn it back on.

Many thanks for your quick reply.
I actually tried this last night but it didnt seem to work. I was trying to pair it with my Nexus S which is running Stock Android 4.1.2.
What I did I turned the wifi of Nook off, then paired it with my nexus s, it could find my nexus but didn't really connect properly (It did sort of paired as I got message from both devices saying that they would like to pair each other). When I then tried to send a file over bluetooth, it just never worked...

Pairing and connecting are two different things. You asked about pairing. I don't know how to help you with connecting.

Thank you for pointing this out, so once I can pair it doesn't necessarily mean that I can connect?

As far as I know, that is right. Connecting has a lot of variables like services offered, etc. I know very little about this so maybe someone else can help.

Bluetooth pairing on 10.2 has always been a little flaky for me. Cm11 seems to be in better shape where BT is concerned.

so there is currently no any fix for this bluetooth connection issue in CM10.2?
Is CM11 stable enough for daily use?? As I know it has not released a stable version yet.
Read up on making a backup of your 10.2 and then give cm11 a try. If you don't like it you can always go back. Small SD cards are cheap these days.
"Stable" is kind of meaningless imo.

Are you sure the battery is charged (using the stock charging cable and block)? Also make sure it is totally powered off by holding the power key for several seconds.

Obviously the Nokk HD+ has been charged fully, when I tried to turn it on. Does anything else make sense at all?

What I was suggesting was that the device was stuck in an on but screen off position and drained. That is why I asked if you hard powered off, charged and tried again.

[Q] MicroSD door or cover broke

I figured it was going to happen someday & it did yesterday.
I know there will be no easy fix, other covering it with a piece of tape like I did.
Will this cause any harm not having the dust over or whatever it is caused not on there?
I am more afraid of having the card pop out & lose it.
Any suggestions on a better fix than tape?
Thanks
Mark

You might be able to get a replacement from B&N. They just snap in with prongs. But keep the old one, it has your serial number on it. Otherwise, no reason why tape won't suffice.
