[Q] Converting to Stock from Carrier Version

I've got a HTC One from EE (UK), who are being retardedly slow in providing updates.
So I'd like to change to a stock HTC and still receive OTA updates. I'd prefer not to change to Google Play Edition if possible.
My bootloader currently says:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** LOCKED ***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-HTC__001
HBOOT-1.55.0000
RADIO-4A.21.3263.04
OpenDSP-V32.120.274.0909
OS-
eMMC-boot 2048MB
I've got TWRP installed v2.7.1.1
I've also changed my CID to HTC__0001 and also the MID to PC0710000 using the MID Change tool.
Its currently running Android v4.3, HTC Sense 5.5 and Software 3.63.61.1.
What do I need to do next? I *think* I need to install a RUU? but not sure.

You are right, you now need to run the .401 ruu. Just to be sure, you said you have changed your CID to HTC__0001 ? Its HTC__001 (only 8 characters)
stay s-off and bootloader unlocked after the conversion.
your twrp recovery will be overwritten with the stock recovery included in the RUU.
I did exactly the same thing with my Vodafone branded one, best move I ever made, I got the update a month before Vodafone started sharing it.
Just make sure you backup your current Rom and take note or remember your original cid should the worst happen and you need to return it for any reason, copy the backup , once created, to your pc before running the ruu.
I'm on EE too and in the process of grabbing all the files needed for this. My fone is 100% stock so need to unlock, root and S-Off yet.
I grabbed the RUU from here. 1.5GB. HTC Europe

Thanks, all done now.
Sweet. All go ok? No problems?
Might get time to do mine later this week.

[Q] One M7 - firewater doesn't work with my One & OS 6.09.401

Hi,
I have a One M7 with OS 6.09.401.5.
I unlocked a bootloader with a HTC Dev, and I rooted my device.
Next, i try S-OFF with Firewater, but i see a message "anti-firewater" locked kernel.
I try different ROMs (e.g. ARHD, ViperOne etc) and different kernels (e.g. ElementalX, Bulletproof), but firewater always open all 12 bottles, and show error message.
Can You help me try to s-off with my HTC One?
PS. Sorry for my bad english

If firewater fails, you might have to use Sunshine to S-off. Sunshine works with stock Rom and stock kernel.

Of course you do have to pay for sunshine. But it's only $25 and it is quick and easy

once you have RUU flash twrp as a recovery and install viper rom 7.0.1 and then choose sprint device and then use the option of gsm use in sprint device

[Q] Install T-mobile RUU on Verizon HTC one M7

I have the Verizon version of the HTC Once M7 and would like to get it fully compatible with T-mobile. Here's what the last few hours of research and reading through these forums has led me to believe. Can anyone verify if my understanding is correct? Or am I missing something?
All HTC One M7 phones have the same hardware, so there's no hardware limitation causing network incompatibility, rather carrier incompatibility is due to firmware/sofware.
To be able install the T-mobile RUU (htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news) on a Verizon version of the HTC One M7, I need to s-off the phone using sunshine (theroot.ninja/index.html)
To install the T-mobile RUU, I should follow the instructions on htc's website (htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news)
To be thorough, here's the details of the phone I have:
HTC One M7:
M7_WLV PVT SHIP S-ON FR
HBOOT-1.57.000
RADIO-1.13.41.0702
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
OS-5.28.605.2
eMMC-boot 2048MB
And the name of the RUU that I'd like to install:
RUU_M7_UL_K443_SENSE60_MR_TMOUS_6.10.531.10_Radio_4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01L_release_405711_signed_2
Thanks! Just want to make sure I have everything thought out before I begin.
