go to settings > about > software information > more : hit Build number 7 times till you get message (you are now developer)
go back to the settings screen, scroll down, you will found new option called (Developer options)
hit it, new message will appear , hit (OK)
now in the (upper right ) hit the (off) icon to change to (on)
find (USB debugging) and mark it
now adb will detect your phone
about the UNLOCK_CODE.bin, re-send your phone "token code" to the HTCDev.com to receive the UNLOCK_CODE.bin again and try again

Cant unlock the bootloader

I have 20a firmware and that should be unlockable. Ive tried different solutions but none of them works.
Ive tried with script but it says permission denied.
Ive tried with the all in one tool but when it reboots it shows an error message at the top of the screen "ERROR : boot image signature".
Its just my fault or i just cant unlock my phone with anything?
If i try from terminal the adb reboot oem-unlock line reboots my phone but it also gives unlock permission denied error message.
So I cant unlock this... any ideas?

I did it by doing this you can give it a try!! to unlock bootloader ( so you can flash roms with kernels) go to this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2224020
and download the BL_unlock_new .rar file when its download copy it to your desktop on pc and then extract it to desktop on pc . now make sure your phone is not connected to your computer go to phone settings, then go to development options, and then select usb debugging on. once debugging is on now connect your phone to pc wait for it to connect you can keep your phone on charging mode. now open the BL_unlocking_new extracted folder on desktop on pc and double click on the BL_unlock file a box should open up on your desktop asking you to tap a key to continue so press a key now your phone should reboot and some white writing will appear on screen .on your desktop the bottom line should say please... now tap a key on computer it should say press any key to continue < waiting for device> now disconnect phone from computer look on phone screen it should say now ready! now hold power button for 10 secs and let phone reboot. to test if bootloader is unlocked on phone go to dail pad and dail this 3845#*880# you should get the hidden menu on your screen scroll down to bootloader unlock check and select then select bootloader unlock check and hopefully it should say unlock...
I had the same problem as you. Tried everything, but the only one that works is this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245415 it's also the simplest way.
Goodluck!

[Q] Reroot after 4.3.3 ota update?

Hi guys, first of all thanks to be there always, I was on insertcoin 6.0.4, then I just thought to grab ota, so I flash stock backup zip and stock recovery , grab ota installed it, now I can't reroot it, now I am s off with lock bootloader, please help, I tried to push custom recovery in fastboot but nothing happened, it just keep saying waiting for device.
First of all wrong thread, this should be in QnA. Secondly, make sure you connect your phone straight to the USB port on your computer (do not use external USB hub) if your phone is connected to the computer, in fastboot you should see fastboot USB. And make sure your phone is in fastboot mode in the boot loader.

Sorry to post at wrong place, I will try and get back to you, many thanks.
Right now I don't have access to my pc, so I will try it later, but is it possible to reroot, what is probability.
Unlock your bootloader first
There should be a adb command to unlock bootloader since your s off
So you should have debugging enable in developer option, but there is no developer option in my setting menu, though it says it is test device, is it fine if there is no developer option or it is not there natively in 4.3, could that be the reason.
Settings > About > Software information > More > Tap on build number about 10 times.
It should say something like"you are now a developer". Now go back out and developer options should be above the About options. Usb debugging is in there.

Tutorial: Root LeEco S3

After seeing people not being able to root their S3 and rooting mine successfully, I have decided to make this tutorial to help those out there. This tutorial covers the procedures I took to successfully root my LeEco S3 US edition with EUI 5.8.018S and Snapdragon 652 processor. My phone is permantly rooted and has permanent TWRP recovery.
Make sure your phone has developer options and has usb debugging as well as the option to unlock the bootloader enabled
First off, download the AIO Toolkit created by Rishabh Rao here
Secondly, open the toolkit. Make sure to turn off your antivirus to avoid any interruptions. Once in the toolkit, select item 6 and allow the program to download necessary files. After the files have downloaded, select item 1 to install ADB/Fastboot USB drivers. During this process, PDA Net will prompt you to connect your phone to the computer. It will download the client onto your computer and install the PDA Net application onto your phone. When the drivers are fully installed, close the toolkit.
Open command prompt and run ADB. With your phone plugged in and in recovery mode, type fastboot oem unlock-go and you should see it attempting to unlock the bootloader. If you get a successful message of unlocking your bootloader, you are ready to move on to the next step as this is a temporary unlock. Close the command prompt.
Open the toolkit again, select item 6 and then select item 3 to unlock bootloader completely. When it has finished, go back to select item 4 to check and see if the bootloader has been unlocked. If so, move on to selecting item 5 to flash the latest TWRP recovery.
When the TWRP recovery has installed, if it has not booted into recovery by itself, hold down power + volume up to enter it. You will see the recovery all in the chinese language. Simply swipe the unlock to proceed and from the menu, select the box to the right and three down (which is settings). There, select the globe icon and scroll down to select the english language. Now that you can read what is there, go back to the main menu and select wipe to completely wipe the phone back to factory defaults. When it has finished, go back and select Advanced > Tools > Root Device. Your phone will now be rooted when you reboot and will have the latest TWRP recovery installed.
- If you receive the error message saying the device is locked while you are trying to unlock the bootloader from the toolkit, you need to run ADB again to temporary unlock the bootloader.
Quick question - will this only work on 18s and is it possible to update the firmware and keep root after doing this? Or would it work after updating to I think 21s which is the latest?
Thank you!
Hi
Can you break this down further with pictures too? How do I do the command prompt ABD thing?
Root
was this the easiest way? I'm going to try it in two days. Scared to mess my phone up though..
This method does not work on the 23s ROM. Does nothing
What's the best way? Simple way I mean?
Worked for anyone?
these instructions are for the le s3 with SNAPDRAGON processor, not for the MEDIATEK x20 that is where we have the problem
Just got this phone and gonna try this out, thanks ;p

Actually Ima wait...I've never rooted using TWRP Recovery so not quite familiar with it after the phone's been rooted. I've only used a couple of the one-click root apps, KingRoot and KingoRoot, for a couple phones.
Rooted it fine, now I need to figure out what I can do ;P <--- noob
How were you able to successfully root the phone?

Hi Everyone. I recently got a new le s3 x522. Its great only that sim 2 slot doesn't connect to mobile data. I have tried rooting so that I can use build prop editor to fix this, but rooting has become a real problem. I used Kingo root, framaroot but not successful. I have downloaded AIO toolkit on pc but installng is a problem. Please guide me on how to install AOI toolkit on pc. I pretty new to this things you know. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You're on Nougat?
Marshmallow
Just follow this to lock bootloader
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/themes/antic-theme-t3664356
I tried it and it's come up saying device has failed verification, it attempts the update and fails then reboots

try this, i got from emui website
Note: to re-lock the bootloader after unlocking it, restore the device’s software to the Huawei official version using a microSD card then switch the device to fastboot mode and enter “fastboot oem unlock ****************” in the computer’s command prompt, where * refers to the 16-digit unlock password. The device will then restart, and the bootloader lock status will change to “Bootloader Lock State: RELOCKED”.
Well I tried, I've not got a clue what I am doing, it's still unlocked so I will leave it as it is, I have a working phone don't want to mess around with it and end up totally ruining it
Try installing the update via dload
... (3 dot option) and then, download latest full build inside updater setings, thry that need to be around 2gb file
Ok so I managed to sort this out...... finally, just one thing else how can I change the lock screen picture, it gives me the option to do so but I select the picture but remains the same as it was, any ideas?

Help a noob out please!

Hey guys,
I have recentley purchased a used Lenovo ZUK Z2 PRO from someone on Ebay, Later I found out that the original rom of this phone only supports English (mixed with chinese) and Chinese language, the whole Software looks too Iphoney for my taste so I rather have clean Stock android, prefferbly 7.1 8.0 or 8.1 as long as its stable and doesnt drain the battery too much, will someone be kind enough to help me out step by step? prefferbly via KIK messenger or something?
I've downloaded root checker to see if the phone has been rooted already it says root access is not properly installed on this device? see image below.

Hi, you have unlock bootloader . Maybe you have twrp . Just restart your phone and when you see start menu , press volume button and choose recovery . If you have twrp , just read Aex or RR threads , how to install the latest roms . It is bit difficult because of treble project . There are all informations about "how to install"

It isn't available in Zui 3.1 . You needn't unlock bootloader . When you restart your phone and see menu start ( for 5 sec ) use vol button to choose fastboot or recovery . Check it , maybe you have already had a Twrp .

for the 1st method the instructions aren't very clear, i see not 1 but different recovery images where can i get both? do i need both? and where can i get the txt file with all the commands? and the video ends at the 3rd or 4th command, does it mean the remaining commands are not important or what? and will this method help me get pass the OEM lock on my current ZUI 1.9 ?
for the 2nd method, do i have to unzip the zip file after i download it or no? and should i put it anywhere on the storage or does it have to be a specific map in the root or something>?
