what was the error code of the ruu?
downgrade your hboot then run the ruu again.

i think you should try re installing the drivers from the scratch or use cwm that supports OTG and install the rom.

Alternative 1: try revone
Alternative 2: try adb commands http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475914 (you'll need su privileges for that, maybe try the temproot exploit from firewater)
Alternative 3: you can use: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2527194
3A) obviously, you'll need a custom recovery for that, but if you're still on hboot 1.44 then you can use the command:
fastboot boot <name of recovery>.img
to get to custom recovery, without having to flash it.
3B) otherwise, you'll need to flash it:
fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
-> enter recovery and use bootloader reset tool
rerun RUU, to get back to stock (ie remove custom recovery)
PS: for alternative 3, you'll need an unlocked bootloader
(if you don't / can't unlock let me know, i can package a custom recovery as fw.zip for you which will work with relocked bootloader, and let you use the tool or adb commands, and then you'll need to run RUU again)

[Q] 4.4 GPE and Boot-Loop

Hi there everyone!
I unlocked and rooted my HTC One yesterday and installed a custom kernel which is bulletproof kernel.
I had someone who was helping me at another forum, so i could ask to him about the phone but today he doesnt respond for 4 hours.:silly:
I wanted to install Android Revolution hd 6.1 gpe rom, it was saying S-on or S-off device needed, and also saying s-off needed. So i asked it to my friend and he said it doesnt need s-off, he said s-on should be ok.
So i tried to install it on my own from custom recovery and it installed the rom without a problem.
But it stuck in boot loop.First htc logo comes then Google then it asks for language and then it re-boot everytime.
I can enter to the bootloader and recovery.I tried to search the forums but i am a newbie and i dont want to make things worse.
I made a search and i've seen worse situations than me.
And in these bootloop topics, pros asks for something, i'll put it below.(without imei and s/n)

Yeah well i guess you just found out the hard way it requires s-off
just sideload a different rom and you should be fine
TWRP / Advanced / Sideload
From PC adb /fastboot folder
you use
adb sideload <name of rom>.zip

Hey! Thanks for your reply!
I tried to do that but my computer don't read my device.
When i say adb devices on command prompt there is no devices.I tried to copy that but i couldnt.
My OS is Windows 7.
Bump and update!
I went to an internet cafe, the PC was running windows XP.I tried to adb sideload it, but it didnt read my device neither.
When i was rooting i had just HTC Sync manager.
Yesterday, this accident happened to me and i installed some extra drivers from somewhere, and i tried to adb sideload to my device it didnt read.
So i came back to home and i only installed HTC Sync Manager, when i say adb devices it reads my device! But i think my adb drivers(or whatever is it) out-dated.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559200
I try to do this but i cant find where this program installed the files.

RUU stuck at sending

I have an HTC One AT&T M7. I flashed a custom rom to try and get sense 6 but fell into a bootloop, long story short I desided to try and restore back to what I had before. So I downloaded RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_Cingular_US_4.18.502.7_R10_Radio_4T.24.3218.09_10.26.1718.01L_release_356565_signed_2.exe, but when I run it it get stuck at "(1/6) Sending.....". I have let is sit for an hour with no progress. Anyone know what's wrong? If not, is there any other method I can try and restore my phone?
One thing I see asked a lot is if usb debugging is enabled. I do not know, and can not check as I can not boot at the moment.

I have had lots of issue with running the 4.x RUUs. Your other option will be to push a rom to the sdcard using TWRP/adb sideload. Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2676986

Couple things ...when you pick a rom read the install instructions 2-3 times till you understand them.
For now you need to start over and follow this
Unlock the bootloader at HTCDEV
then from fastboot USB
Flash recovery TWRP 2.6.3.3
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then sideload this Rom to your phone
http://www.androidrevolution.org/downloader/download.php?file=Android_Revolution_HD-One_31.6.zip
TWRP / Advanced / ADB Sideload - swipe to sideload
From PC adb / fastboot folder
you use
adb sideload name-of-rom.zip
make sure the rom is in the same folder as adb / fastboot
Click to collapse
Now try and get S-Off with firewater, after that you can use the firmware and recovery in the file you have above

I tired to sideload before I tried the RUU and it didn't work, but I thought I'd try again. I flashed TWRP and sideloaded CyanogenMod (I already had it downloaded). It worked. I don't know what the problem was before.

[Q] Stock HTC m7 wont boot up and both recovery and hard rest wont work

Hi Guys,
I have been reading around the forum but cant seem to find the answer to my problem. Or the suggestions are going over my head, so hope you can help.
I have a stock htc one m7 that is unrooted but it is sim unlocked. Went to bed with the phone working and then woke up with it stuck on the htc boot screen.
Things I have tried:
- get into HBOOT (which i can), then try recovery. This just reboots the phone to the white htc screen or screen just goes off.
- try and hard reset from hboot, but this does the same and either turns the screen black or reboots.
Both times i have left the phone for a while to see if it is up to anything but nothing happens.
I read about clearing the cache, but I could not get my head around the guides I read, so is there an idiots guide (I usually pretty good with tech stuff but not done much to do with phones etc)
Or any other suggestions. I use my phone for work so would be nice to get it working again without wiping it but most of the stuff should be back up anyway.
Thanks
Tom
From what I have tried I guess I should now try and flash the RRU?
The phone is on UKs EE network, as it is not rooted do I need to flash it with their branded rom or not? If so where can I get that from.
Thanks

Yep that's what we wanted, unfortunately there's no ruu for your phone
If you've got warranty on the device I would send it in for repair.
If you don't have warranty you gonna need to unlock the bootloader to do anything with it. If your gonna do it go here www.htcdev.com register an account and go to the Unlock My Bootloader section of the site and follow the instructions to unlock :good:
Ok. I will do that.
So once the bootloader is unlocked, what is my solution? installing a different Ruu? Or installing a different Rom (or are they the same thing)
Thanks
Tom

Once your Unlocked you can flash a Custom or Unbranded Stock Rom. To be able to use RUU's you will need to go s-off. As your on hboot 1.57 the only way to s-off is Sunshine app. But this costs $25 to use. So I would just go with flashing a Custom Recovery and ROM for the time being. :good:
Unlocking the bootloader void warranty. If you have none, then proceed. In my opinion, your phone has suffered hardware failure and will not be recoverable, hence warranty.
Thanks
Thanks for the help guys. Turns out its still under warranty which is good news. I know with other custom roms you can use adb to retrive info off the device.
Any chance I can do the same, as most of the stuff is backed up except some photos ( last couple of months worth).
If not Ill get over it but just in case.
Thanks for your help so far.

Fix your windows 8.1 drivers
Check the FAQ or nkk71 back to stock thread
I think that the htc bootloader is broken
