[Q][CM 7.2] [Port] Vivo ROM | 2.0 | Cooper | - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Very good ROM, I just noticed the same bug with root explorer white text on white background, and root access does not appear, either by running Link2SD. thank you for this fantastic work.

I'll check it...

Thank you very much, awesome job. Today I installed the rom, any failure to note the comment in this thread. Currently works perfectly, very fast and stable, and has good links to the executed app folders, app-private, dalvik-cache and data from root explorer despite not appearing root access.

I find that when you clear the cache from Link2SD indicates operation completed successfully, but it is not correct, the cache is not cleared.
I have also noticed that not connect to KIES, the message: The device is not responding restart the device. Disabling USB debugging just does not connect.
sorry for mi bad english. (google translator is to blame)

I've been checked the issues...
Root access is working Perfectly...

If the titanium backup also says there is root access, but try clearing the cache with Link2SD says operation completed successfully, but does not erase, THE APP NO ROOT ACCESS REQUIRED, if the phone has root access.¿? I flashed the root cooper and the result is the same. The apps do not request root access, Link2SD does not clear the cache.
Also to request the upgrade superuser binary, fails.....

I'll flash the stock, then the living rom, to designate a results. if you keep failing buscare another ROM, is a shame as this is very fluid and the battery lasts much recommend me ... what? need to install about 30 apks and I like that the battery lasts more than one day something with permanent Connection wifi, 3g only about 2 hours ...

I'm back to stock rom (S5830XWKTQ_S5830OXXKT4_S5830XWKT8), and I have tried to root, not succeeding in root_cooper. if I could with Acegingeroot.
But after flashing from CWM 5.0.2.6-Cooper vivorom and upgrade, starts but begins to forced closures.
I give up, I must have done something wrong. I'll try the CM7.2-RC3-DroidACEv3-end that looks good .... thanks for this work nonetheless.

Done everything as u said but while installing I got the message "E: Error in storage/sdcard0/vivo.cooper.2.0.zip

It is best to follow the letter of the installation used brijeshep:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701849
•Flash a stock ROM, installation will be cleaner.
•Flash ClockworkMod Recovery.
•Enter CWM & Wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
•(IMPORTANT) Go to mounts and storage, and make sure system is mounted
(will show unmounted) mount it 2 times!
•Go to install zip from SD Card, choose zip from SD card and install this ROM.
(MAKE SURE installation last more than 5 seconds, if is less than 5 seconds,
your system is unmounted!).
•After installation, it auto reboot the system, if you made it good, ROM boots,
so no problem on it

backup and restore are working fine with the latest release. good work
md5 mismatch
i am having a problem on 6.0.2.7 i flashed it over many times and it gives me md5 mismatch when restoring from freshly made backups with this version with a 8gb sd card however if i backup on a 2gb an restore from it, it does not give me any error. note that 5.0.2.7 shows no sign of this problem as i used this version previosuly and it makes and restores backup fine without any error on any size of sd card regardless of the system format.

CM 10 Settings>Security Not Working

Hi just installed CM10 from this topic:

And when I chose Settings>Security or Settings>Lock screen>Screen Security it displays me an error:
Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.

What can I do about it?
Which Version?
Hi, I am currently using CM10 too but that error does not occur to me. It might be an app that's interfering with the settings itself, or that it's just damaged. Either way, try rebooting your phone. If the problem persists, then I would suggest you re-flash the rom again.
By the way, may I know which release are you using?

Wipe data & cache, or ReFlash the ROM.
Im using cm-10-20120907-UNOFFICIAL-tass version.
Unfortunately after reflashing and after wiping data and cache error still occur.
Try re flashing to the nightly 09/02 version, instead of the 09/07 release. I've tried the 0907 one it appears to have more bugs than 0902 and somehow I managed to get in a boot loop with that release
I'm currently using 0902 lol.

Do you have sd-ext on your sd card?
Sure I partitioned my micro sd with recovery.
Edit:
I've made breakthru with installing 09/10. In dev forum in main CM10 rom topic someone posted method to solve boot loop problem with 09/07 by deleting 05ad2sdx and 06mountext files from rom.
I never had problem with boot loop on that version but I made opposite and copied those 2 files and put to same folder on 09/10 version.
It worked! Now im on 09/10 version.
But guess what... Security still not working
I wish I could ask about it on devs forum right now...

Sorry typo....thanks for correcting
Sounds interesting, I look forward new developments
FYI,
Coming from Epinter's cm10 11/5, I factory wiped data and cache, followed by wiping the system and dalvic cache as well. Then I flashed webtop first followed by this ROM at 1:20am est using TWRP 2.2.2.0 which resulted in my phone stating there was no operating system installed when I attempted to reboot. I then flashed cwm 5.0.2.7, rebooted recovery, wiped all again and installed web top and this ROM, which gave the same results. I tried wiping all files again and flashing my backup zip made with ROM factory but this was unsuccessful as well. I noticed during the install of the rom, it stated a script was running during the installation process and that same message was appearing during the flash of the backup I made. I had to flash Epinters cm 10 from scratch to recover.

Which rom are you using ?
since you tried : reinstall, delete and install and clear data issue seems to be rom specific.
Asking question in that rom thread will give quick answer..
AnywaysTry this:
Go to recovery :
Wipe Dalive
Wipe Dalive Cache
Reboot
If it doesnt work after above steps. This is rom specific problem.Either you have to change rom or Request fix for rom developer or live up with this issue or change app.

[Q] Problems with CM 10.1.2 to stock ROM downgrading

I did go back from CM 10.1.2 to a stock 4.0.4 ROM. But now I'm unable to 'browse for a zip file' on the sdcard in the stock recovery.
-I did a factory reset + \data & \system format in the CWM recovery
-I installed the Samsung P7310XXLPP_P7310PHNLP1_PHN stock rom with Odin 3.0.7
-In the stock recovery when I try to "apply update from external storage" I got an error
Does somebody know what is causing the error and how I can fix it?

There is no possibility to install zips with stock recovery on any 4.0.4. It worked only on 3.x. You need to flash CWM/TWRP to install updates. After you've done with root/updates, you can restore stock recovery back, but it still won't be able to flash anything.

I´ve used Safarikings version for a while, but it got laggier and laggier the more I used it.
So now I´m using [ROM][4.3][P7300/P7310][UNOFFICIAL] AOKP
Sure some bugs, but it´s smooth as hell
