Like the title says, my nook (and computer for that matter) won't recognize the internal memory of it. If I go to settings, it tells me that there is no memory left, even though I had just did full restore of the system coming from cm7. I tried to make a cwm sd card, but that doesn't work anymore for some reason. To sum it all up, I'm in need of some real help.
OK, we need some info first.
What OS? SD or emmc? Dot on the box? What *exactly* fails? Installing an app? Downloading music? Sideloading an ebook?
I'd suggest using Root Explorer (well worth the $) to see what partitions you have and how full they are; look at the first line under the header. When I look at /emmc, I get
1.30GB used, 3.64GB free, r/w
Terminal Emulator might be easier; type df in the window and see what space is available in the partitions (/data, /system, /mnt/sdcard, /mnt/emmc, /cache).
Did you get the "Cannot mount SD card" notification? That happened to me when I was still booting off SD; the /emmc partition (stock /media) was corrupted and couldn't be mounted. I reformatted just that partition and all was well.
When going into terminal emulator and typing dtf, i get "dtf: permission denied". I was running cm7 on internal memory, but then went back to stock 1.0.1 (1.2 update file wouldn't work using cwm). Now, I just rooted stock 1.0.1, and if I go under nook color tools, then ad card settings, it says 4.63GB available space under internal phone storage, however, it still says 0.0B remaining under device info. I have the blue dot partitioning, but tried repartitioning to see if that would remedy the issue but it hasn't. Downloading apps from the market works, but any barnes & noble content will not download.
Ok, the problem has remedied itself. I found a working update file, and managed to update using cwm. I had to then do the three button factory reset, and all is good. Thanks for the help anyway!
I picked up my Touchpad today to play with it, and my Internal Storage seems to have disappeared in Android. I rebooted to WebOS, and everything seems to be OK there, but when I reboot back to CM10, there's no "SD Card". There aren't any errors or anything...I wouldn't have noticed except that I opened ES File Explorer and it said "SD Card empty, unmounted or not present". I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this...any ideas? I'm running [12/16] Unofficial CM10 Preview by Jcsullins.
Strangely the same thing happened to me today as well. I booted into WebOS and checked the filesystem and there were some corruptions and I fixed that but it didn't change anything so I just reflashed my rom and that fixed everything...for now. I did notice that somehow I suddenly had both superuser and supersu so I had to disable one of those, maybe check that too
I have Ubuntu (13.04 alpha, from the thread in the Dev forum) installed on the Touchpad, and I noticed in the dev thread that there was some kind of problem with mounting the "SD Card", that it was mounted with the wrong uid or something. Could that be connected to my problem? I can access the "SD Card" in WebOS and Ubuntu, just not in Android, which makes me think it's some kind of mounting issue. I'd prefer to troubleshoot the issue, maybe get a solution that will benefit others, as opposed to going with the WebOS Doctor nuclear option. Any thoughts?
All that worked for me is reflashing the ROM.

I had the same thing happen. I wiped/reset, wiped cache, formatted system and wiped dalvik cache. Reflashed ROM and gapps. So far so good.
Ok, so I tried reflashing my Android. I wiped cache/Dalvik, but nothing else. My internal storage was fine when I was done this, and I didn't lose any files or settings. Sounds great, right? Well, I rebooted into Ubuntu 13.04 Alpha, and everything seemed fine there, till I rebooted into Android, and lo and behold, internal storage not found. Just for laughs, I went into Terminal, and typed "mount -t vfat /dev/store/media /sdcard", and then I was able to access the files on the internal storage, but only through a file manager by going to /storage/sdcard0...none of the apps could see the internal storage the normal way. I still think this is some kind of mounting or permissions problem, and now that I can replicate the problem reliably, maybe we can put our heads together and find out why.
What recovery have you been using please?

I am currently using TWRP 2.4.3.0. I was using an earlier TWRP, in the 2.3 series, but I upgraded it today when I reflashed my rom.

Have a read of this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2177905.
You are not the only one, your files are probably in a folder called Lost.Dir but renamed to an unusable number.

My files are all there, not renamed, not in a lost directory. I can access each and every one in WebOS (same way as always), in TWRP (again, the same way I always could), and in Ubuntu...and in Android if I manually mount /dev/store/media (but they're in /storage/sdcard0 rather than /sdcard). I'm pretty sure I said this already.
The file "loss" happened from booting Ubuntu. Before I booted Ubuntu, the "SD Card" was present, and accessible in Android. I boot Ubuntu, just to see if it came up OK (it did), so I rebooted back to Android. Immediately, it says SD card unavailable or not mounted, until I remount manually, which made the files appear in /storage/sdcard0 until reboot, at which time I'd have to manually remount again to see them.
I installed CM10.1 on my HTC One (global).
After succesful installation, I noticed that the files that I transfer to my SD are not visible when I enter Recovery. After some digging around I noticed that
1) The virtual SD that is mounted is located at /sdcard
2) the 2nd virtual SD is mounted on /mnt/shell/emulated & only accessible with root privileges
does anybody also have this? How can I remove one of the virtual SD's?
I have tried installing ARHD 11.0, but the issue remained
I have switched from PA 4.0 beta 4.4.2 KK to CM11 nightlies. After restoring all of my apps, I noticed I had only 800 mb internal storage left. Then I scanned my internal storage with app "Disk usage"
It showed 1.8 GB taken by "system storage".I can't check what files are included in "system storage" with that program, it also doesn't give me an option to delete the system storage.I have checked several places for duplicated files using ES file explorer, also used a few apps to look for app leftovers. But nothing, I still have 1.8 GB taken by system somehow and I have faced this issue before.
I don't have enough space in external SD card to backup my internal storage and then format it.This issue gets quite annoying as I like trying different ROMs out.
I have wiped /system, /data and /cache before flashing CM11.The only solution to this issue I have found so far is formatting /data and /data/media.
This had happened to me before but it was back when CM 10.2 nightlies were released for first time.I had switched to CM 10.2 from CM 10.1 and had a low storage notification after using CM 10.2 for like a week.
It's really random and I don't really know what's causing it, has anybody faced the same issue?
Note : I'm aware some files can get stuck in /storage/ or similiar locations when switching between ROMs.But I'm pretty sure this isn't the case as I checked every folder that has some connection to internal sd card.
I also had the problem but i solved that with internal sd format in cwm recovery

Check /data/data and /data/media folders on root of storage with some explorer for apps and cwm backups took once 8gb of my s4 storage.

Hi there,
i guess something is wrong with my internal storage.
So i did unlock my boot loader, installed SU and reinstalled the image due to the boot loader unlocking.
several issues i encountered now, along with not possible to connect to play store on wifi (had to delete hosts file).
The main issue i now have is that my android shows about 500MB free internal space, but im not able to install apps (installed about 30-40 apps and had to move them in several steps onto the sd card), cant save screenshots or export files from dropbox to sd card (maybe it cant be buffered in internal storage). But i can send pictures through whatsapp which get saved on internal, i have no issues.
also when i take pictures with camera, the files get saved to internal\DCIM but i cant view them with gallery as it requires a reboot of app due to missing temp space.
any ideas whats wrong with my phone?
edit: ok, guess i messed up completely. thought this was maybe a permission issue so i tried the "fix permission" option from twrp and now im stuck in bootloop (seems to be a common issue on lollipop).
as i saved my whatsapp data to my sd card via twrp file explorer, i would likely to do a fresh install of my os (stock rom). how do i get a clean install of that? because when the image reinstalled itself, the internal storage seems not to got wiped as there was a twrp folder on it and i had SU (or maybe i have no idea and this is normal), but i wonder where the issues with host, file permission, (also some whats app issues), aswell as a file i could not delete from internal root (which i copied myself onto it) with root explorer or connected via usb with windows explorer, had to go into twrp and delete it with its explorer.
You did do a factory recovery before flashing and wiped the cache/dalvik before and after flashing didn't you?
