Opti 4x vs HTC One M7 - LG Optimus 4X HD

So my brother got a HTC One (M7) today
So far it looks and feels fantastic
The dual front speakers sound good
and pumps out some mean benchmark figures!
Battery life havent been able to test its life.
One limitation I found - no stock DLNA streaming function. Need to find an app to do that.
With my LG 4x i can link to my home media server and watch videos/music etc. The LG smartshare feature rocks.

Name suggestions for HTC concepts

I have a graphics project coming up and I've decided to do a concept for an HTC device. This project will include the device and the packaging. So I need a suitable name. I've decided to go with a music themed name (although others will be considered) to keep with the current flow of devices, HTC Mozart and HTC Aria. Here are a few that I have found to be appealing but please post up what you think might be a good name.
- HTC Brilliante
- HTC Forte
- HTC Primo
- HTC Presto
- HTC Vivo
I will post up the final device when I'm finished!
HTC Jackson
HTC Storm
HTC Falcon
HTC Swift
HTC Arc
HTC Sidewinder
HTC Sidearm
HTC Shotgun
HTC Sho-gun
HTC Ninja
HTC Phantom
HTC Ghost
I can do this all day! I love my incredible!

I'm just thought of HTC Duet. The marketing aspect of this is going to be that it can dual boot Android and WP7 so it might be well suited.

LMAO. Great sales pitch. But I might go with Illuminate. There are capacitive buttons at the front that are an extension to the display. Might support the "Illuminate" term.
The one.. The only..

These are specs from hell.
"The Htc Optic"
I don't care about grammer for this post.
HTC Quantum
8.0 MP W/ dual led flash and a big sensor so pictures come out good
1.5ghz dual core
latest and greatest gpu
1gb ram
1gb rom(separate chip)
16gb on board(true and non diminished by rom) + expansion slot
4.0 in screen
capacitive buttons
deticated camera key
deticated silent/vibrate key
wireless n
has a brother that has a keyboard named Quantum X, it had to loose the good camera for a decent 5 megapixel with single led flash, it also had to loose on board 16gb, only has expansion slot
Has similar design's to the HTC Legend, mixed with the desire HD and its non removable back. The back looks like a slim camera with the lens being pretty big
You can't use Swift
LG GT540 Swift
iPhone
Or have I missed the point
HTC equilibrium sounds good to me.
HTC villain
Eliminates devices nearby
- every time it gets out of sleep mode an iPhone is destroyed
- specs change when ever an iPhone tries to overcome it
Perfect for the villain inside of you, presenting HTC villain

I think Power(A)MP is the best music app if you need the best sound. I tried a lot of music apps but with PAMP I got the best result.
Contra: It costs around 5$
Cyanogenmod 9 music player for ics for me
But I like sense one the best
The newest Google Musik an UCam, it's the best for me.
Camera360 is the best!
+1 PlayerPro
+1 poweramp throw the eq on phone speaker and it boosts the output volume 50%

Not possible to use htcs app you will need htcs framework AND the image processing chip built into the device. If you want it you will have to buy a HTC one x

What about the option on the HTC One/One Max camera where you can "slowmo" only a portion of the captures video instead of the whole video, is that possible on our Galaxy devices?

[Q] Potential buyer has a questions

Hello
I'm about to buy some mid/high-end phone. LG Optimus 4X HD has really a tempting price. I actually have XPERIA X8 so anything will be better than this. I going to use this phone to play games mostly and browsing internet. And I have heard that there is a lot of issues with games on this kernel/rom right now.
The most strange thing in this one is that some of people with same rom CAN'T PLAY asphalt 7 and others are running it perfectly fine.
In which games you had low FPS or you couldn't play it at all?
Also I heard that this phone has terrible sound quality Is that ture? I use my Sennheiser CX150 for music with PowerAMP atm.
I'm interested in NOVA3, NFSMW, Asphalt 7, MC4, Minecraft, Shadowgun, Samurai II: vengeance, The Dark Knight Rises games.
Hey mate! I also came from the x8
I seem to be in the group of lag-free and better battery, so I can't speak for those unlucky who aren't
But I can tell that I don't regret on getting this phone

same here,i dont experience lag issues and i play a lot of the more demanding games, battery isnt really bad but isnt really good,if your into custom roms and lg do as they have stated and unlock the bootloader then the 4x is good choice
No issues with games however I have underclocked cpu to 1.2ghz to over heating issue as i play high end games a lot and battery life has also increased.
Its realy best buy

How do you find 4.2.2

Hi guys,
I've been reading up on some nexus 7 stuff but I'm pretty new to it and was running 4.1.2 until recently, I see 4.2.2 was released but couldn't see any concrete feedback on how it compares to say custom roms like smoothrom based on 4.2.1. Do you guys find it better than say smooth rom in UI performance and battery? I'm not sure if I should change to 4.2.2 or stick with 4.2.1 custom roms with performance/smoothness tweaks for now.
Thanks
Smoother here.
I found my N7 sped up with 4.2.1 anyway when I cleared up some space. Havn't loaded it down since, so that may be the reason.
The main reason I want back to 4.1, was the broken Bluetooth Audio, but that also seems to be much improved in 4.2.
Will give rooted 4.2.2 stock a shot then, thanks
I've been on 4.2.2 for a few hours and I must say the wireless appears to be erratic! I'm sitting between 2 APs with same SSID so I don't know if the roaming settings are too aggresive...but seems worse than 4.2 was
I'm hoping Bluetooth is better than it was as my creative headset would constantly go out of sync on 4.2!

I'm running the latest Paranoid Android 4.2.2 nightly and it's running perfect. The Bluetooth works with the flashable zip fix just fine. I use my sixaxis controller with it and it's flawless. Benchmarks are about the same as before, but I don't really pay attention to them. I would recommend updating, I regret not doing it sooner.

I am actually noticing better WiFi performance with 4.2.2. I don't have to use better WiFi anymore, it switches seamlessly between my 2 routers with the same ssid. 4.2.2 made my nexus 7 run a lot smoother and faster, all around it was a good decision to upgrade.

Bluetooth was pretty much screwed on all devices by 4.2.x. I have a Nexus 7 and a HTC One XL, which I used to tether via bluetooth. This worked perfectly when both devices were on 4.1.2. Now the devices pair and the Nexus 7 claims to be using the One XL for internet connectivity, but it doesn't work and says network unreachable when I ping from terminal.
I never use bluetooth audio on my Nexus, but I do use it on my One XL. That's pretty much screwed since 4.2.x as well, with poor quality and crackling. There's a massive google bug report thread on it, which actually looks like I've not got it as bad as a lot of people!
Where do you find the flashable bluetooth fix? Is it just for Nexus 7?
cyanogenmod 10.1/ 4.2.2 my nexus 7 is now a lot smoother than on 4.2.1!

Hi there,
I use stock 4.2.2 with apex launcher and its the most fluent and rapid thing. Scrolling feels so good. I am new to nexus 7 and JB, but from what i have seen so far im loving it.
In terms of web browsing and performance in general its quite good. I had galaxy tab 2 7" before nexus and it just not match the smotherness and performance of the N7. Its impressive.

Aside from almost having a stroke every time I rotate the screen, specifically on the lockscreen, mine is doing just fine.

Funny, i never use landscape. Only for media play, or some games that come landed by default.
Apart of that, i always use it 'phone-wise'.
