You might want to edit the imei out first.
Regarding the issue, i believe this might just be an issue that the bootloader is unlocked? Just lock back the bootloader and reinstall the RUU
Also, you may want to try flashing the boot.img if he had previously flashed a custom ROM and wishes to stay rooted or so.

Hi,
I have recently got my Incredible S stuck on Bootloader loop.
I was running ICS on my Incredible S which had S OFF. Recently installed Blackrose, then I am not sure why decided to Uninstall Blackrose.
This of course has remove S OFF on my incredible S and now it is stuck.
Running FASTBOOT GETVAR ALL returned the following details;

I have tried installing a ROM that I believe had a greater MAINVER RUU_VIVO_ICS_35_S_TWM_TW_4.10.921.1_Radio_20.74.30.0833U_3831.18.00.11_M_release_266252_signed but this returned an error of "CID Incorrect! Update Fail!"
If anyone can help, I have a feeling I may be using the incorrect ROM if they could point me towards a ROM that would work I would much appreciate it.

Hi Nathan,
I didn't think I would be able to use that ROM as the MAINVER is lower than what mine was.
Anyway I managed to use the ROM that I posted earlier but first creating a "Gold Card" with my SD card.
I used the following to create a Gold Card using another Android
Then copied the ROM to the SD Card and Flashed using Bootloader.
If you Google "guide-how-to-create-goldcard-sd-card-for-htc-android-phones-w-video" you can find the site for creating the Goldcard, I can't create links becuase I have under 10 posts.
Do u still have s off

The problem is that when you removed the BlackRose HBOOT, it replaced itself with HBOOT 1.13 which is incompatible with the stock ICS ROM. You need to use the WWE RUU 4.10.405.1 to flash to avoid the CID error you are getting with the 4.10.921.1 RUU.
Hello everyone, I just got S-OFF, and flashed the latest firmware 3.57.401.500 and installed stabled version of 10.1 CM, and noticed everything is extremely choppy. I thought it might be the firmware causing the issue, so I am trying to downgrade to 1.26.502.12 and installation process is failing everytime. (Error 155) I have relocked the bootloader and made sure CID is stock, but can't figure it out. Worse yet, I restored everything to 1.26.502.10 before attempting to downgrade and touch screen no longer works. I would appreciate any help from you guys, thanks.

1st. Delete your IMEI !!!!
2nd. Here is the development forum. Post your questions in general forum.
3rd. flash a custom recovery again in fastboot then flash a custom ROM. Your bootloader has gone lock probably, so you have to unlock it first.
Its been a while since flashing roms and I was going to sell my one x but needed stock software and unrooting. But I have ended up with my phone stuck in fast boot with it saying re locked at the top. I think i know where I went wrong but its too late. I dont have any backup because it was ages ago and I have tried various stock roms all returning errors. This is what I was following:
"fastboot oem Lock"
2) "fastboot oem rebootRUU"
3) "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip"
4) "fastboot reboot-bootloader"
5) "fastboot flash "unlocktoken Unlocktoken.bin"
6 "fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-4.18.401.2-endeavoru-JB.img
7) fastboot flash boot ( the boot.img from the custom rom)
8) go in to recovery and install the custom rom.
I got stuck at 6 giving me an error, I presume it was the wrong file.
Do I actually have to do fastboot oem Lock, because its relocked?
Could anybody help me out with what stock roms and file I need please? I know there are a lot of posts but each one is idividual and with different firmware.
Thanks Guys

this is the HTC One M7 forum ? Seems you have a One X you need to post in their forum
sprint HTC one M8, in a try to unlock it, SIM unlock helper app locked my device and after failing to perform the regular factory reset I had to use the recovery to wipe all data including system, as deleting user data only using fastboot failed. As I am trying to restore a stock rom after relocking bootloader I keep getting a less than 30% battery level while it is full.. please assist me on what to do.. the below info might help you!
