Any problems with this phone? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

As in are there any SIM/ holding cell service problems? My HTC one M8 stopped reading sim/ no service after 2 weeks, got a new one last night and doing same thing no service.. ANy problems like that with this phone? Going back to att tonight to hopefully switch over.

None whatsoebwr and I've had mine since the day after release. Actually signal appears to be better on my S5 than originally on my S4 in same areas.

At&t signal loss?

Happened four times now. Pick up phone, screen says emergency calls only. Toggled airplane mode to restart radios, then its okay again. This never happened with my other phones in the past. Anyone else?

I had this issue with the Atrix 2 and never found a solution. One customer service rep advised to try a new sim card. They are free to exchange at any corporate owned ATT store.

Same issue here but I've watched the bars dissapear, go to the ! EmUse only icon, and then come back. Seems to be sporadic though as the phones been fine for the past few weeks. Figured it was just a bug or an issue with the towers around here.

Preorder with number porting?

This is more of a service/sprint question I think. I just pre-ordered the HTC one with a new contract. I had them port my number from my current T-Mobile account. I will supposedly get the phone on the 19th or close to it. Anyone know when exactly my current T-Mobile phone will stop working and when my service start date might be?

if it's anything like at&t, sprint will handle everything for you. they start the porting process a few days before you get the phone so once you receive your new phone and activate it, the number will start working. last time i ported a number, it took around an hour for the new phone to start working and the old line automatically stopped working.
Yeah I knew they take care of cancelling the old service. Im just wondering if.my T-Mobile service will be cancelled before I receive my sprint phone. Then I'd have to go phone-less for a time.

Your existing phone will be fine until you activate the new One.

[Q] Htc One M8 complete signal loss

Please help! I bought a Tmobile Htc One M8 and I was using it with a Simple Mobile sim. Everything worked fine for a week. Two days ago I was driving and went into a large "dead zone" with zero reception. After I came out signal never came back. I have tried everything from factory reset,new sim card,changing apns,network operator option,etc. I can not get a single signal bar. Can someone help me?

htc one m8 HK edition and sprint airrave issues

I recently traded my note 3 for a m8 hk edition. Service is horrible at my house in southwest baltimore county. But the weird thing is if you walk 4 blocks up to the main road service is fine. My note 3 and my fiances s4 connect to the airrave fine. We get all of our calls and text. Now this m8 will connect to the airrave and make calls but i cant send or recieve messages. If i disconnect it from the airrave it litetally wont call out but then i can get messages. Sprint wants me to take it to a tech but i already installed a zagg screen protector so if they replace it im out $20. Also ill have to pay the $30 deductible. Does anyone know what i could do to fix this. I was gona trade it for a note 3 but i really like this phone and wanna get it working
Call Sprint. They need to re-provision the Airave for the new phone.

I asked the tech over the phone and he said that wont work thats its gotta be the phone. I had the same issue with my g2 but i think my original htc one connected fine. All my samsung phones connect fine. I migh call and try a different tech

I went through this 2 weeks ago with my M8. Sprint tech said the Airave was holding the M7 info and he had to re-provision it.

network not registered error

i have note 4 and im getting network not registered error esp sometimes when im calling or trying to use data service.would b great if anyone could guide how to resolve.

What ROM, kernel, mods, etc are you running? Is your APN set up correctly? This could be caused by a number of things.

I also get this issue. I'm also having major issues with my cell reception. No LTE. Stock rooted 4.4.4
I am having this as well. Tmo swears up and down there tower that causes me problems is fine. So tomorrow I get a new Sim and after that a new phone if Sim doesn't resolve and after that more yelling at tmo if not fixed.

Did you use the sim from another phone in the note 4 like I did? Or did you get a new sim when you got the new phone? I just talked to AT&T and they said my sim is not on their network, so I should go get s new sim tomorrow myself.

No sir. Used the new tmo Sim that came with the phone. Had the phone since launch, issues started a month ago.
The worst part is I can see all the networks, I just can't register to them!

I bought a note 4 from t mobile a month ago. My girlfriend got her s5 from them the next day. I have a cell tower less than 1 mile away serving up 4glte. Her s5 stays connected to 4glte constant and consistent. Note 4 will not stay connected to 4glte. It connects to G and mostly E. A royal PIA. I have to manually re-connect, sometimes several times to get back on 4glte. What I have done to try to fix: New SIM, Factory reset, Manual re-connect via T-Mobile. Also run with no apps.
Now keep in mind the tmo s5 is working perfectly.
Tmo's solution: Send them 20 dollars and they send me a refurbished phone(to replace my 1 month old flagship that hasn't worked right since day one).

I have been complaining for a month now. Got a new Sim and no fix. They are sending me a replacement phone for free. Tried to charge me $5 but I complained and they removed it.
Not sure the replacement will do anything but hoping for the best.
Try to ask more. Some agents seem more willing than others to assist.

All of the agents have been pretty good at attempting to remedy the problem up to phone replacement. My problem is they will not guarantee that I will receive a new unit. They have the refurb option which is complete bulls**t on a brand new phone. Especially when TMob separates the phone from the mobile plan. "Buy a new phone phone from us and if it doesn't work properly out of the box we'll send you some other persons problem for a slight fee" should be their slogan. And they are trying to pound on Verizon lol. I hope you get it working on your end. Good luck.
