was it GB or ICS when you bought the phone for the first time ? if it was GB , thats mean your bootlader is old and maybe you tried to flash newbootlader supported rom cm10.2
try option 4 in AIO (repartition layout and bootlader) then you should select new bootlader. after that you can flash any newbl custom rom like cm10.2, cm11 ect.

Thanks So Much to all for the Help.
I run away to some outreach so could not reply.
My Phone is back to to Normal
AM now running ICS 4.0.4,
I solved the restarting problem by installing a startup manager and frequently Force Stopping some apps to save memory.
The wifi problem is still there but, am coping with it for the mean time.

Hi Guys!
Here it's the problem I've rooted the phone the last week and I want to give a try to Zeus ROM. I had installed the Rom Manager, but I cannot access to the Recovery menu.
I turn off the phone, and when I turn on I keep pressed the V+ or G button and it's boot normally to the "normal" screen.
I read a lot of threads but I cannot find the solution, I'm sure that this is a nooby question.
PS: sorry for my bad english
Thanks in advance!
Use rom manager to reboot to recovery

Always for the safety keep rom manager app on SD card. After flash you have to instalation rom manager from SD and all will be fine.

How can I install rom manager if something was wrong with the installation of a new Rom, and the phone does not start normally?
Thanks
I see you still really afraid to try
If something weird happen you can always use Smart Flash Tools to reflash stok rom.
Also I sugest you to learn about adb (what is it, how to instal, how to use). Sometimes it really usefull.

this is a important issue..
if you flash a rom that has g recovery (enter recovery when you press g button on startup).. then you can always enter recovery, even if you have a bootloop problem. other roms without g recovery doesn't have that luxery.
if you get bootloop there you will have to unbrick/reflash your phone.. works ok but takes quite a lot of time.
Or just use ADB

Hello.
If you phone is briked and not rebooting. But you flash any Recvoery. Then they must do:
1. Power Off LG Optimus Black
2. Power on
3. Quickly press: Volume Down
4. PROFIT!!!
Worked on any ROM
I think that you first need to flash erecovery or grecovery

True that, should only work, if g- or e-recovery is included in the ROM... If not, there also wont be a boot into cwm, but you mostly can try adb reboot recovery from your PC
Yeah, the easiest is using adb, in my case, i use qtadb, the best, in my opinion
Hum,
I've used this method on my own ROM, on which i didn't integrated e-recovery or g-recovery
(And even on very stock with CWM)

Nope, official CM7 has this function, and it doesn't have g/e-recovery. So I think all the others cm7 based also have it.

It is work on ANY ROM.
If you did't instal g/e-recovery, then it is WORK!

This is not development.
I've searched through XDA (manually and with search function) but can't find the answer I need, so am trying here hoping someone will help.
I was running GingerDX v29 on my X8, happily, when I was notified of an update to v030. I left it a few days and then got the notification of an update to v031b. There was two options on the screen: Download GingerDX v031b, or download GingerDX stock. I figured since I'm already using GingerDX I should be able to just download the new version rather than the stock.
So I downloaded it to my SD card, rebooted to CWM and choose to install the download. All seemed to go through fine, I got a success message, and was invite to reboot. I rebooted, and I'm now stuck with "Sony Ericsson" across my screen and nothing else. No access to CWM etc.
I guess I have two questions:
1) Can I get back to v29 or finish off the update to v031b, without having to erase everything and redo whatever it was I had to do to get v29 on there in the first place (v29 was the first ROM I installed on my handset)?
2) What should I have done when presented with the options for upgrading? (I'd kinda like to acoid the same mistake in future.)
All help gratefully received, and I'll be liberal with the Thanks button
TIA
in CWM wipe cache and dalvk cache
if phone doesnt boot flash v29 back and create backup
than flash 31b,wipe data/cache and advance restore data from backup created earlier...wipe cache again
good luck
and post questions in Q/A section

Yeah, I think it's stock (I soft-bricked the handset once before, and followed instructions elsewhere on XDA to unbrick it - I think those instructions used a stock kernal)

I think I did (as part of the v029 install (or maybe it was the v030 install - I can't even remember which one of those I was on)), but I can't say for sure. I definitely didn't when I tried to update to v031b. I just ran the .zip and when I got the confirmation of success I rebooted. Haven't got passed the Sony Ericsson logo since.

What would I need to have been running in order to have used the GingerDX v31b? (Sorry - I'm still learning about stock, kernels, ROMs, Alfs, nAa etc, so don't yet understand what they all mean / do / are used for.)
Is there any way I can recover my phone without having to reinstall all my apps etc?

you have unlocked bootloader? if so then flash custom kernel and it will boot fine.
you can use adb to backup your apps or flash back the previous version and backup them.
you might have downloaded the rom that was not for stock kernel.

Hello everyone,
I had to format /system to install a custom rom. The installation aborted so I don't have any os on the phone now.
I can still acess to cwm recovery but not to the download mod (so forget about flashing .kdz). I tried flashing other roms without sucess.
Could someone send me his cwm backup so I could restore to it ? Or just a link for the stock european rom in the format .zip (so I can flash it by cwm ?)
Thanks
