Hi.
Anyone can confirm or deny that it is working in DAC mode together?

[Q] Will my Beats iSoniTalk cable (Same wiring as iPhone headset) work with the Note

Hi guys,
Does anyone know if the Monster Beats iSoniTalk cable will work with the Note.
I owned a Galaxy S, and the cable did not work. The wiring in the SGS was different.
The "answer call" button had to be pressed to get good audio.
So I had to use the normal cable.
Can anyone with an iSoniTalk or iPhone headset confirm?
It would be a big help.
Thanks,
Daan

[Q] USB headset with the bionic lapdock? Or best audio solution to avoid whine?

Ok so in an attempt to get around the headphone whining issue, it seems bluetooth headphones are the way to go. However, would a USB headset work? Has anyone tried? I don't want to buy one and then have to return it if someone has already tried. Didn't find much in a google search.
what are the best options with the lapdock to avoid the headphone whine?
Anyone know?
There are several options, but the only USB audio devices I own don't work with the Bionic. Still, that doesn't mean none do work. After all, the docks channel audio through the USB port.
what is the most cost-effective solution? I found a bluetooth headset that has an adapter which lets you plug your own headphones in online, I was going to try that.
What are the other options?

Fiio E7 external DAC not working correctly

I posted last month about this with no replies, so I figured I'd try again.
I have my usb settings at MTP, and when I connect my Fiio E7 I get music through it. Problem is, I can still control the volume from the phone. That tells me it is not bypassing the N8 DAC and amplifier. It should only be sending the digital signal to the external DAC which then goes to the E7's amp for volume control. Correct? That is how it works when connected to my laptop. And there is a clear difference between laptop with and without E7 and also a difference between laptop with E7 and N8 with E7. There is no difference when using E7 with N8 and just using the headphone jack.
Anyone figure a way to bypass internal DAC?

The phone can recognize that you have a DAC connected, but that doesn't mean the app volume or OS volume controls are eliminated. It's all independent as far ask I know. I have the Fiio Q1, and when I connect (via USB OTG) it recognizes it as an audio output device, but my volume rocker still affects the volume. Even so, the sound quality is leaps and bounds higher than it is just plugging headphones into the phone.
Make sure you're using an app that passes the correct info via usb to the DAC. Poweramp alpha, USB Audio Player, and HibyMusic all work (among a few others). Try one and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm trying to use the Tidal app for streaming.

I verified with an electrical engineer/mechatronics professor I know and my thoughts were correct. It should only be passing the audio data, which will not have an effect on the volume. You can't change the volume on data. So it has to be going through the phone's DAC and amp for volume control to work.
Thanks for the reply though.
I'm not sure if it will help but have you tried to disable absolute volume control in the developer settings?
Coming from a Fiio E17K Alpen 2 I can tell you that they are a picky bunch and I was only able to get it work sometimes when using USB Audio Player Pro, which has Tidal integration btw. Have since upgraded to a Fiio Q1 MK2 and have no issues whatsoever. Keep in mind, the earlier Fiio USB AMP/DACs were never guaranteed to work on Android, hell not even the Q1 is but it works perfectly.
I'm not very knowledgeable about audio stuff but is there such thing as a DAC for BT headphones?

Thanks again for the help. I didn't try USB Audio Player until D_VIN_GADO pointed out that it has Tidal integrated.

Glad you got it worked out.

Problem with dongle AUX output

My USB-c to audio dongle does not work with AUX in my car on my Mi8
I used the same AUX with my old phone - Mi 5s on the regular headphone jack and it worked fine. I tried it yesterday with the dongle adapter that came with the mi8 but it does not work. I just hear some weird noise and the phone recognizes that there is something connected to it because the song stops if you pull the dongle or the aux cable out.
The dongle works with my headphones so it is not a faulty dongle. It just does not work with the aux in my car, can anyone explain or anyone had similar issues?
I suspect it has something to do with the amplifier or digital to audio converter....
Is there a solution for this? Is anyone familiar with this because there are mixed reviews and opinions on usb-c to audio.
Same problem. Any solution?

Accessories Anyone found a decent lav mic that works with the S21 ?

Hello,
Just wanted a decent lav mic unless is cheaper/better to go with some adapter and a normal lav mic.
Anything that I have tried with an adapter works like crap... It is because of the adapters however...
