Hey guys,
I just bought my Xperia Z1 model : c6903 4.3 Jelly bean version 1.4.2.A.1.136, I want to know this is work to root and how ? because I keep tried for many root program like vroot but it doesn't work even I do not know how to enter to recovery mode too. I tried to do as many way to enter to recovery mode what I have found but it doesn't work.
Thanks for your helping !
There's no way to root 4.3 directly yet. You have to downgrade to 4.2 root & install recoveries than update with custom rom.
The only way is a method to get full root on your phone. Downgrade to the firmware .534 provided by NUT to not lose IMEI, Root with Bin4ry, then follow the instruction to Update to .290 HERE, then follow the instruction to Update to .136 HERE.
Hey guys I have a question..
Can i root my Sony Xperia SP C5302 - 12.1.A.0.266 without unlocking bootloader..
I have searched a lot and haven't found a way other than DoomLord's method.. which requires unlocked bootloader..
So, my ques is -
IS THERE ANY WAY TO ROOT MY DEVICE WITHOUT UNLOCKING ITS BOOTLOADER??
if not,
HOW CAN I UNLOCK ITS BOOTLOADER???
Please Help !!

Don't think you'll get an answer as this question has been asked countless times.
As of last month, you don't need to unlock the bootloader to get root on 4.3
But you need to downgrade to 4.1.2 (257) and root using doomlord's exploit. Then install recovery. After that choose a rom of your choice (based on the latest .266 or .201).
For noob's infor:
a. the downgrade is necessary as you need root and doomlord's exploit for rooting works only up to version .257.
b. rooting is simply needed so that you can install recovery (CWM is good)
c. after which all will be wiped out by the new rom which will be flashed with its recovery and root :good:
And before you ask where these files are: search in the various forum, notably "android development" and "General" sections

You'll need flashtool to flash .254 (full firmware). Note that flashtool will only work if all the drivers are installed in your computer (there is an installer inside flashtool directory, after installation - double click on that to install the drivers)
Hunt around for the .254 ftf and .257 (kernel only) if you can't locate it in the link I gave you.
[The .254 in the link is "kernel" only - you want the full firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311964)
The link to cwm: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649923 but I prefer this one (simpler): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2444605
I apologise if this is previously sorted out, but I am pretty new to the xperia lineup(2nd day).
I have a C6902 with build number 14.1.G.1.531(android version 4.2.2)
Can I use bin4ry's tool to root?
And then directly use the XZdualrecovery installer?
At present I do not wish to unlock the bootloader neither upgrade to kitkat, but want to try stock based custom 4.3(flashplayer! Yay!) JB. Will iHackers 3.0 be installed without loosing root and the dual recovery?
bump
Anyone?

I'm not sure about the bin4ry thing but there are many ways u can root on z1 since it's on .531
maybe vroot or king root
yes, then u can install dualrecovery and go for iHackers 3.0, your dualrecovery will be still here after installing
have fun
i was just wondering as to how long it would take for root to be available for the xperia z with and then later without unlocked bootloaders. i know its been hard to root the xperia z on 4.3 without unlocking the bootloader, but will kitkat be any easier?
NO ! dude. for 4.3 and 4.4, you can only flash back to the 2.67 ,root using Doomlord's method, and flash to rooted 4.4 ROM
Actually, it's very easy to do this step by step.
Use the search button please
download Towelroot apk from towelroot.com (click on lamda symbole to dnload apk)
download supersu from playstore and open. it will ask to install binary, click yes and then click normal install.
this app can root 4.4.2 as well as 4.3.
sorry for my bad english.
If you want a noob\quick way to root so use kingo root for pc, just plug your device to pc ur pc and click ROOT and BOOM! You finished
Notice 1 : you'll need internet on ur pc
Notice 2 : its work only with 4.2.2 NOT 4.3 or 4.4.2
Use towelroot from Geohot (Just like Narry84 said).
it works for 4.3. (I can confirmed, it works for me)
and then install SuperSU from PayStore
that's it
Hi guys, up till last week i had an xperia z for nearly 2 years and rooted it on several occasions, however the phone developed a fault and was returned to Sony.
I was sent a new device today (6603) which came with 4.4.4 10.5.1.A.0.292 but i want to put it back to how i had it on 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.2.67, for some reason i just cannot get the phone to root. I have used the procedure that i always used but this time i cannot get it to root. I would downgrade to 10.3.1.A.0.244 via flash tool, no problem. Then i would flash 10.3.A.0.423 kernel only but in settings the phone would still say the 244 build, then use doomlords v18 to root but i cannot get SuperSU installed....
I have tried many methods from the net to no avail. I went into the service menu and its says i can root
Any help will be much appreciated, any more info u guys need i can let u know.
Thanks
c6603

why don't u flash 10.5.1.A.0.292 firmware, i think kitkat 4.4.4 is very good to use and it is very easy to root
lollipop is good too but we can't root it now.
