Worked on my D950
The latest version of SuperSU updates just fine. You need version 1.99 r4. Not the google play store version. Below is a link to the zip file extract it as its made for custom recoveries but the latest apk that you can install is under the folder common.
http://download.chainfire.eu/447/Sup...SU-v1.99r4.zip

I have a D950 too. What version & kernel do you have?

Did you check that original thread? There is a version of Super su that you can download in that thread that allows you to update. It is not the same version as in the market. I'd have to comb back through the thread to find the link and I can't right now, but its in there somewhere.

ok but it is a zip file and 4.4.2 don't have recovery
solved
unzip , go in common and take superuser.apk, transfer apk into device and install. worked for me:laugh:
Thank you for help

I should have added that part. I actually forgot it was a zip. This solution was what i did well though. Works well.

Wooohooooo! Used root checker to confirm.

I got it rooted, now if I could just figure out the custom recovery. It is different then other phones I have done.

Using this kind of root ,can you unroot just uninstalling the apk ?

For me after removed apk, root remain.

So how can you unroot, just flashing a stock rom or there's an alternative way?

Why you wont unroot? Can you give more info about your LG? I think if you can,you try to install stock firmware

root with towelroot. download supersu from play. let it update. in settings of supersu you can do full cleanup and unroot. I just did it to test. I used root checker to confirm. then went back and ran towelroot again.

Returnig Into Official ROM wihtou unrooting

I'm sorry, but I am very unexperienced in this matters. I installed the CM9 Nightly 6 ROM, but as some apps don't seem to work (and I need them to) I was trying to return to official LG ROM. However, I do not need to unroot my phone. How can I do this?
May I just connect to LG update Tool and do so?
Or is it a better way?
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you

I'm sorry again, but this was the procedure I made when I wanted to root my phone, so do you mean that if i do it again i will be back into firm rom?
And then will i be able to update it to the latest version available using lg update tool (this tool stoped working when i installed the custom rom)?
Thank you so much for the attention on this matter

Let me ask something else though. How do I get a Stock Rom to flash? because the link i found in this forum to the custom roms is .kdz so i do not know how to use it in smartflashtool. And also, how do I follow the root guide when the ROM I have is 4.0.4 and there is so such option in the root guide?
Thank you and excuse me
If u use one of those to root you will be back on stock. Even if you are on 4.0.4

And when i'm rooting, should i use the same files i used before and flash superuser or not?

Just to clarify, if i would exactly what it's said in the root procedure, i'll get back into an official rom from lg, that's right?
The last time i did this, it appeared in the system some apps in russian, but when updating through lg update tool, they'll be gone, right?
Thanks again

I have LT30at and get force close everytime at welcome screen.

I sent them an email to try and get my money back.
I have this same, when I launch a game app always crash to main screen...
It works on mine. Increasing dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit should be enough. But root is needed.

Locked bootloader has nothing to do with root access.
Use bin4ry's method version 15.

Make sure you download and install sony backup and restore apk if your device did not come with it preinstalled.

You can still root by flashing the older formware 7.0.A.1.303 and using bin4ry's method. Just stay on that firmware and you will be rooted. Follow the guide from the all in one thread

You have issues with root.
How did you root? Have you disabled RIC? Did you give xposed root rights with supersu app?
Try checking root with a root checker
Iam rooted and I checking it. I cannot remember the method that I have followed for rooting. That is the RIC?

Well, that message from xposed says you are not rooted.
Untill you can remember how you rooted or you can confirm you are rooted then we can not go any further.
Please root again or show a screenshot of your super user app giving root access to other apps, and show that you can create a file in the system partition or data/app folder of your phone to confirm you are rooted.
RIC is in sys/kernel/security/sony_ric/enable and should be set to 0. Unless you have killed it with an init.d script or a kernel mod it will always revert to 1 on a reboot and hence you will lose root.

(Q) Will XPosed Framework work on the G Flex?

First off let me say thanks for reading my question.
I am an HTC One M8 guy myself. However, my daughter has the G Flex from T-Mobile. She has fallen in love with some of the XPosed framework modules. Does the G Flex support XPosed framework? I told her I would root her Flex and put the frameworks on her phone but I wanted to make sure it supports that app before I root it.
Thanks again!

Hi, i have a flex D955 as well running 4.4.2 and i wanted to root it. But on the IORoot it says only 4.2.2 is supported. And on YouTube i found an app called Towelroot or something like that.
On my Galaxy S3 i'm running Xposed and root was no problem.
How did you get rooted? And can you switch to ART with Xposed? On S3 custom rom it was not possible.
Thanks for your answer in advance.

yes, there is an LG flash tool you will find lots of places and lots of references to throughout the Flex forums.
you use it to flash your original firmware, if you want to bother "restoring it" back to stock for some reason..
