So as my title states, my Xperia keyboard [Stock] is lagging after Ive typed for about two seconds, the keys/ letters starts to lag and causes massive delays, also, when I press the message box, the keyboard doesn't show up immediately, whereas I compared it to my friends Sony Xperia C, his keyboard pops up immediately.
Can anyone suggest any fix for me? I like the Xperia Keyboard, have tried other keyboards but theyre not THAT compatible and somewhat buggy..
Im on a 4.4.2 Firmware pre-rooted kitkat.. thanks
EDIT: Even the spell checker doesn't work -_- when I press the settings, nothing's inside.. Could anyone help me at least with the spell checker and make it work?

I loved the gesture that lets you move your cursor in a text field by tapping the side of a phone. I tried it yesterday and it worked just fine. However, I tried it today and it's not working. I tried some other gestures too, and none of them seem to work, despite being enabled in the settings.
Does anyone else have this problem or know a solution? My phone is rooted and I have disabled a couple of apps (Carhome, F-secure and Lg launcher). First I thought it might be because of this, but enabling the Lg launcher didn't fix the problem.
Same problem here. Not rooted and totally stock.
How did you root it cause is impossibile for me??i have firm 2.2.2

I just followed these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953182 It was super easy, though I had to reboot after rooting. I have 2.2.2 too. If you have problems, maybe you should ask help in that thread if you didn't already.
ale, see magfal's thread here. Seriously, this phone isn't cheap- let LG know what's wrong with it. Hopefully, the incoming update will clear this "gestures" issue!
There's nothing wrong with the gestures, they just don't work with anything other than stock keyboard, stock videoplayer etc.. I just don't get why they would tie it to stock apps when they could have done it properly so it would work with any app. E.g. tapping the side would issue "arrow"/"trackball" left/right/up/down, double-tap would issue next track/previous track and so on. Cool feature though.

You're right. I switched back to stock keyboard and it worked just fine. Too bad it only has one keyboard layout and is therefore pretty much useless to me. Typing with the English qwerty is way too slow when there's no buttons for all the letters I need.
I came from a Galaxy Ace, and I loved the 3x4 keyboard.
When I got my Note (already running ICS), I was first very happy that it had the 3x4 keyboard, but later realized it didn't work as well as the older one.
Basically, it has lots of lag, sometimes key presses wouldn't register, especially in the Google Chrome app. Sometimes, it jumps to the next character before I even finish typing. Watch the video and I think you'll understand.
Does anyone else have the same problem (please try it on your phone) or is it only my phone?

I use Swiftekey... awosme

It seems that I'm the only one with this problem. Something's wrong with my phone's Samsung Keyboard and Google Chrome app. I'm just gonna stick with the slowness of the keyboard because changing to other keyboards isn't an option to me.

Hey together,
couldn't find an answer and the official WhatsApp support wasn't much of a help either, so here's my problem:
I'm using a HTC One, all stock, WhatsApp+ v.3.58 and SwiftKey 4.1.1.146.
Whenever I type something and want to add an emoticon, the Emoji window doesn't "replace" the actual keyboard. It just comes on top, which takes away a lot of space, is very inconvenient and forces me to first use the back button in order to send my message. When I minimize the keyboard and then press the emoji button, the layout looks fine.
I have tried it with the normal WhatsApp, the stock keyboard and also various versions of the respective software.I attached two screenshots, one is how it looks after I typed, the other one how it's actually supposed to look.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Updatet SwiftKey to newest version. Same problem
I got the same problem.
I'm using a Nexus 4, tried both the original whatsapp and whatsapp plus.
Stock keyboard and Swiftkey, nothing seems to solve the problem...
Someone found out what's wrong?
I have the same issue with my Nexus 4 and HTC One too.
I've managed to solve the problem by disabling "Pie Control". Not sure if this helps.
Use the official app, when I remember right this doesn't work with WA+ or try to change the hight of the emoji area to the stock value

Hi, I am currently using a Xperia Z3 compact Model D5803. I received a OTA update to install Lollipop Yesterday and although my first instincts didn't like it or should I say I preferred 4.44 instead, I seem to be getting to grips with it and it may just stick with me. However I have two major concerns.
1. The Phone Dialer - I don't seem to like the way it looks - I much prefer the one in 4.44 - If you look at the screenshots I attached, when you need to make a call you actually have to press the call button, and then press the little orange button before the dial pad opens. And then the look and feel of the Dial Pad I pretty much annoying. Now my question - Is there any way to change this, I have also attached the screenshot of how it used to look on 4.44, smooth and eye catching. I have heard a lot about modding and rooting etc.. but I am very new to all this. So if someone could please shed some light on this if there is anyway for this to be changed. .
2. Also I have witnessed a significant drop in my battery. I used to get 2 full days if not more by 4 to five hours. Now it seems like I may be lucky if id just manage to see a full day out. Has anyone else experienced this? what could be the cause and what can I try to rectify it?
Help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Ihsaan

Hi,
It is completely the opposite for me. I don't like the Lillipop Sony Dialer and I would like the Google stock lollipop dialer.
I use ExDialer and is execellent also with groups
MrPingle
This is annoying me aswell. Im thinking bout extracting the dialer from cm12 and try to replace the sony one but i guess that it wont work that easy. I guess the Sony dialer is well integrated in the system.
[Edit]
I extracted all the phone modules from cm12 and just went to install them like normal apk. Install gave me error. My guess is that the stock dialer and contacts etc already takes the name for the apk. So i guess one could remove the stock dialer and replace it via flashable zip or something like that. Just got my phone running fine again so im not willing to test quite yet
[Edit2]
Tried fiddeling with ExDialer but i dont like that app. Got some theme that looked ok and went to call a friend. When call is made the stock dialer appears and makes the call. Ugly.
Hello XDA,
Not sure how to phrase this and I don't know how to show you otherwise.
On my phone when writing if i have to erase letters using backspace this happens.
Let's say < means backspace has been used. I try to finish the word "hello"
Helli< (erase "I")
HellO<hell<HelloHell< (when erase the "I" it types out "Hello" again, sometimesthe whole word, sometimes just a part of it)
If you understand this.... When I use backspace the phoner re-types the word i had just written. I had the same problem on my Nexus 5(slimrom) as my Nexus 6 (android 5.1.1 rooted, leankernel). Especially in Facebook via Chrome. Maybe only there. :silly:
It does'nt alwaysh appen though so maybe it's an application running in the background that messes this up. Anyone have ideas? I can provide pictures when it happens again.
I've had this happen on the Facebook app with the SwiftKey keyboard. I don't know if the problem is with the app or the keyboard though, and I haven't found or looked for a fix for it.
