Wifi is driving me crazy please help

Hello everyone I tried searching before posting this but I couldn't really find any good info
Ive stock 4,3 not rooted and I've no idea about my bootloader but most probably locked
I'm having a sudden Wifi disconnect like each 20 minutes and when I don't have a disconnect the net is terribly slow!
I'm wondering anyone else having same troubles or it's just my bad luck...

I had problem with my wifi on android 4.2.2. Problems were likely like yours. Yesterday i have flashed my phone to stock notbranded android 4.3 and it works like charm. Maybe you should think about also updating your phone with this ROM ?

As I told you not rooted and honestly everything is good so far with the updated it's just the Wifi
Also I had same problem with the old android version

Stupid question but is could it be a router problem, since you also had problems with other versions? Or do you have this problem with other wifi networks too?

Hello,
Since the official update to Android 4.3 I also get issues with wlan when I am at work.
It might connect normally at first
But after some time I notice that I do not longer get data over it and most of the time it does no longer find the wlan in the settings, everyone else however can still connect fine, however most people are using iPhones but Even a galaxy s3 had no issues so it is no issue with the access point.
I also had it 2 times that I couldn't even disable wlan anymore (active again after reopening the settings)
Funny thing is that I have no issues with my home wlan that is a fritzbox.
On android 4.2.2 I never had an issue.
Everything stock, no root.
I am using a smartwatch 2. Not sure why it got mentioned here.

Check the router for a seeing that users 2 channels at once to increase bandwidth (not a dual broadcast setting for n and g or 2.4 and 5GHz). I have seen this problem on several android phones when enabled.

Association rejected problem

IF u r sure thr sn't any problem in ur router So try to repair ur phone by PCC (it s best choice to know if ur phone has software problem or hardware)
btw aso check for ur router firmware is thr new update for it and ...

Same problem after updating to a 4.3 Rom based on z1... Definitely not my Internet/router going out... Running a dd-with on latest firmware... No problems until phone was updated. Only thing that brings wifi back is resetting phone....

Every update seems to have it's own bugs, this is very annoying from Sony. I can get my Wi-Fi back by switching the WiFi off then back on from phone settings.
Mainly This and the Bluetooth bug is making me think about getting the s5 for my next upgrade.

With the nexus 6 coming up I may have to bite the bullet on that... If it shares any kind of life proofing the way Sony has gone of course. The waterproofing drew me to this to be honest... Lost to many devices because of accidents. (yay for having kids)

adds white balance for a start and I thought it be released for everyone by now?
my companion just update but it stay on 14.2.A.0.136

why hasnt it shown on sony software or thru phone update?
Dont really wanna flash it that way. .just done that with my old broke S4 and it broke the wifi (official firmware aswell) . ..

I have an EE branded device and got the update last week via the companion app. Parents' EE branded phone got it OTA on Friday so the roll out is still in progress OTA for some devices.

If it comes it will be like last updates I think. Will have it couple weeks then the kitkat update. If I was betting man, it maybe the UK jumps to kitkat. Of course last in line if unlocked.

I received it in Egypt about 3 weeks.. Maybe more..and it's known that all countries in the middle east receive the updates the last.. How come you didn't receive it yet!

It's unknown. Att could be trying to fix the gps issue but for all anyone knows they just don't feel like releasing yet.

AT&T hasn't said crap about it..You'll just have to wait if you want it. KNOXRAID is one if not the only KK custom ROM that works flawlessly.

I have been pestering at&t customer service about it as frequently as I can. Maybe once a week.
The chat guys are really nice but they admit they dont know anything about the update. They admit it has been released over 3 months ago (by samsung to at&t) and that they have to sanction it first. They also say "i dont konw, might be never".
I got a chat guy for AT&T to admit that 4.4.2 for S4 was released 2/26/2014
So if it was this recently, note 3's update is probably coming soon.

Has anyone else received a small software update? I am currently in baseband nb4.

The title really should be changed.
1: it is misleading and makes people think it has been released
2: it has not been released so this "discussion" is exactly the same as the rest all over the forums.
3: it is a question in the OP asking for an ETA. Not really allowed and nothing has been said or heard on when it comes out. It gets released when it gets released. And since it is a question, it belongs in the QA section.

It was 37MB and then my wife had one on her S4 that was 300+MB that failed. Is it common to not be able to update over the air? I've always had to use kies to upgrade.

She got kitkat. We haven't yet. On her phone the entire system has to be bone stock to update. At least that's what I'd do just to be sure. Make sure she has a good wifi connection.

if at&t follows their usual update patterns, i expect it will be released in late april or early may (when the s5 is coming out). im assuming they're just waiting for the s5 to come out before releasing kitkat so people will buy the s5 instead of the s4 since it will be their only kitkat phone. just an educated guess

AT&T already officially released the 4.4.2 KitKat update for the S4 about 2 weeks ago.

[Q] When will Lollipop release in India

Yesterday i had received the update for walkman and movies app.But when will we are gonna receive Lollipop update.
Any idea when Sony will release it in India.

Huge download - 688 mb, IIIRC. Almost 4 hts on BSNL boredband.
Worth the effort for the improvement in UI. Have not done factory reset so far. Not rooted or unlocked so far.
Battery usage - can't see remarkable changes.

It's out. I got the update a few days ago. Bought my ZR on Flipkart. You should get it soon too..
