[Q] About storage, and notification Leds - Sony Xperia ZR

Hi all I have two questions...
First of all: I have Android 4.4.2 Kitkat on my Xperia, latest FW + root
The first question is about storage problems on the phone, The internal memory (sdcard0?) is emulated (or something like that, I don't really know) and it doesn't have an option to transfer apps to the SD (sdcard1?). I play a lot of rhythm games and these take up space, not as much as games like Asphalt, but still.
Is there a way to install Apps on the SD card? or atleast redirect their data (/.NameOfTheApp/ or /Android/data/(or /obb/) to the external microSD any workaround for that...?
And my second question is... more a problem than a question:
The notification bar under the screen doesn't bright completely. This seems to be a hardware problem I don't really care too much, but when I see it it bothers me more than it should
With "doesn't bright completely" I mean that, it looks like that bar has 3 LEDs on it... the one on the right on my phone died (or that seems to be) I don't want to take it to repair because that's a useless waste of time, but I also don't like this being asymetrical.
In this photo you'll notice that it "glows" more to the left.. (sorry for the low quality, it was taken with my PSVita)

So, if I am correct about that being 3 leds, is there a way I could...
a) Disable the led on the left to make it symetrical
b) Make the led on the center brighter so it would be like I lost nothing (I remember being out there a mod for 2011 Xperia phones that let you change the notification led brightness, In theory this shuould be also do-able on a newer phone, since it is done by modifyng some flies on the system... right?)

1. For storage problem you can try Foldermount to move your data/obb files from sdcard0 to sdcard1. But you need root to use it.
2. If I am not wrong we have only one LED in the illumination bar for our Xperia ZR. Xperia SP has 3 led in the illumination bar.

Gonna give Foldermount a try, I'm already root so let's hope it works.
EDIT: It's working perfectly, Thank you so much!
Oh well, then my illumination bar is just weird

[Q] Internal SD - clearing/cleaning space

Dear friends,
I am hoping for some advice. I was looking to clear some space on my internal SD (the only storage I have) and was wondering if anyone can advise me on how to do so. Below you can see what my phones memory consists of at the moment.

As you can see there is a rather large 'other' section. Is this normal? I'm not really sure what might be in there other than the OS (RocketRom v3) and the zip files plus other odds and ends and it feels too big to be just that?
If it isnt normal then please let me know how I might be able to clean my internal SD up. I don't mind if it means reflashing the ROM.
Obviously I should just buy an external SD if I want space
Sorry for my jumbled post. I have been drinking a lovely bottle of red wine.

I think 2nd paragraph's 2nd sentence is your answer Apart from image, video, music files whatever else is there will be considered as Other. One Rom itself will be around 800MB (Rocket rom) which is almost 7% of 11GB. So, this rom+zip files+other files will be considered as Others, which will make "Others" look bigger
Have a look at this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.levelokment.storageanalyser
Very useful for detecting what's eating up your space. Maybe there are some left overs in android/data or obb. You'll recognise them by the grey icons.
Cheers, Markus
Couple of more apps.. SD Maid & Thumbnails File Deleter...for deleting thumbnails cache etc (/DCIM/.thumbnails/..)..

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact screen static/white noise.

I have recently gotten a Z3 Compact. It had no screen and i have now fitted a new screen. Everything works. It turns on. The screen turns on. It just only displays the full screen in a small section at the top and like 90% of the screen is a static/white noise display. It seems like it isnt displaying at its full resolution.

Does anyone have any idea what to do.
Things i have tried are:
Doing an update through pc companion
Updating via pc companion.
Re-connecting the screen.
The screen does however work. The full screen works as a touch screen and i have to tap on the center of the screen to select shutdown options even though the display is only on the top strip like in the picture above.
any help would be much appreciated,
thanks,
wivane

Either you have faulty new display or incompatible (Sony used few display manufactures for various models-reflashing kernel should work), or you damaged port (pins) while replacing...
My guess...

yeah, my thoughts too. as i can remember, in the system files u can check what display is installed. (software) maybe it isn't a "original" matching display.

Stock kernel should check LCD version when flashed and rewrite proper drivers... if that is the case...

N920T Home screen size distored

Hey everyone, I've got an issue I've been trying to get figured out with no luck & I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. As it says in the title I'm on the Note 5 32GB from t-mobile, it's running 6.0.1, and is rooted with TWRP recovery. Now on to the issue.
Yesterday I rebooted my device, and when it came back up the home screen shrunk. What I mean is the icon/folder area and the screen indicator dots are smaller causing a significant dead space area between the dots and my bottom bar. I have included two photos, one untouched and one with yellow highlighting illustrating the area I am talking about.
In an attempt to remedy this, so far I have done the following:
Checked that one handed operation is disabled (it is)
Checked and changed screen fonts & font size
Changed the home screen grid options
I've even went as far as doing a system reset in twrp erasing everything and starting over
With that I have been unsuccessful in getting this fixed. I am hoping someone can help. In my research the only information I have found to this point talks about the settings I listed above as attempts, and I haven't seen this problem come up at this point, so please don't blast me if I've missed it, and you know where I should look, I am more than happy to read any information provided.

I've shared the photos with an image tag from my onedrive account, if they aren't working please alert me and I'll try to find another way to share them.
Not working. Curious though. How is the rest of the system? Setting and whatnot set to normal? Did you flash a ROM?
Sent from my SM-N920T using XDA-Developers mobile app
Everything is default accept my theme, which changing it didn't affect it either. It's a stock rom and systemless root with TWRP recovery. I was thinking I screwed up a setting also which is why I tried to do a reset.

e-Cigarette Mod with a touch screen and music capabilities - firmware upgradeable

Hey there guys, I'm writing in the off topic section about this e-cigarette I've just got, it's called Joyetech Ocular C and it comes with a color touch screen , music player and photo viewer capabilities , bluetooth conectivity, a pedometer to count your steps and from what I understand, it has around 2Gb of memory , it is firmware upgradeable and I'm wondering if there is more that can be done to it in therms of functionality.
It's true that vapers, the people who smoke e-cigarettes as their called, dont really need any of this functionality in their devices since they mainly use them purely for smoking, it's nice however to have something a little extra to go with it.
I've looked online for custom firmwares or methods to customise your firmware for these type of devices, but i've only found info on old devices that come with small monochrome screens and the most you can do is upload logos on to the device.
My interests are on how you can access the root of the system built into these devices since it must have a processor and a file sistem inside, how to edit some of these files , per example, you have the option to upload around 100 pictures and some songs ( the memory on it is 2GB ) but there's no way of deleting them once uploaded, in case your storage gets full.
Also it would be nice if users could implement or extent more functionality in the device, par example it only suports .jpeg files in the photo viewer , .png &/or .gif to use as a screen saver would be nice, more so even video playback capability .
And before I get laffed at for asking so much out of an electronic cigarette, I think that since it does come from the factory with all these functionalities and hardware, it's a shame they dont use it to it's fullest.
So is there anyone having any clues on how to "get inside" these devices and tuning them up ?
I've included the latest firmware I could find for the device as well as the program they offer for you to upload it onto the device. If anybody could crack it opn and take a look inside and see at least what's in there, that would be a start.

Storage issues

Recently, I have been trying to download some games and after 3 years of having this phone, I got a warning that my storage was full. I never bothered to check the storage of the device since I got it since I thought I wouldn't need to check it.
It said my storage was almost full, meanwhile I tried to analyze the storage files and apps and all that with 3 different apps (File Manager of Asus, Google FIles and SDmaid), and all my files occupy less than 40gb while my device says the total amount of storage my phone has is 128gb. I barely have any apps that occupy too much space on it. Also to note, this isnt the Tencent version, it's the WW, never flashed ROM on it, it runs the latest OS from Asus. How is that possible? Here is an example:

Hi, it's strange that 0b is showing for applications... The only thing I can recommend is to delete everything you don't need on your phone. "Other" takes up almost 19GB. Try to remove it somehow. I know you probably expected a different answer, but this is my solution :/ or you can reset the phone to factory settings and everything will be deleted on your phone and you will have a completely clean phone again like when you turned it on for the first time. Don't forget to back up your photos, contacts and everything you need.
